Welcome back. Glad to see this series continue. While it was a relatively simple built I feel it fit Mordred excelently. Personally I don't really have a preference to a certain character to be made, but maybe a more support focused built could be fun (like Shakespeare).
While Mordred definitelly doesn't have high wisdom per se, her int should be quite high, at least in comparison. She was well educated by Morgan and was pretty much only Knight of Round table capable of doing paperwork. She was so good in it, that Arthuria put her into position of regent while she was doing her wars, which made her rebelion much easier.
Eh the dumping of stats is really a bit arbitrary. Since I'm using the standard array for these builds I have to pick one stat to be the lowest. Could have made INT a 10 and dumped wisdom instead (which I actually did with Artora). When I play D&D I usually roll for stats actually
@@TheTenzen12 It's mostly her attitude - given that she is rather impulsive and quick to anger - FGO also tends to portray her more as childish. She has her bright moments though^^ That being said - most members of the Round Table don't appear particularly bright in FGO most of the time XD
For anyone who is trying to optimize this to get both the character flavor and a powerful build, keep in mind that you *CAN* rage while wearing armor, just not *HEAVY* armor, and while she obviously does wear heavy armor or no armor, Half Plate would be a wonderful alternative here to allow both rage and higher AC than unarmored defense might allow. Just noticed this wasn't brought up in the video and figured it might be useful info to someone.
I‘ll level with you - until rather recently i was convinced that barbarians don’t benefit from rage while wearing any sort of armor despite playing 5e for years. Felt kinda stupid - that’s why I didn’t bring it up in the video lol

Been working a Mordred build for a while. Never considered barbarian. It's perfect. I'd love to see a Ushiwakamaru build. I think it would be interesting
it just really fits her attitude in my opinion - though ya also can't go wrong by going full paladin or taking a few levels in Fighter instead, especially if you prefer to fight in Armor. Ushiwakamaru - well that would require some digging. She's pretty great but like many FGO servants her abilities aren't quite as defined as the abilities of Servants that appeared in other material first
For the next servant you build, it should be Semiramis if want to do another Servant from Fate/Apocrypha next. Making her a Yuan’Ti would make more sense than Artoria being a Yuan’Ti. Also, don’t forget that Semiramis is Caster and an Assassin at the same time
Already got a couple of ideas for Astolfo and Jeanne and I do want to see if I can figure out a good Karna build. You can probably expect a few once I get back to it
Everything definitely seems to fit her personality well. Though I can’t help but wonder if she’d be a better fighter than a Paladin. Can’t complain though as I said everything fits great.
Paladin just kinda covers most of the abiltiies Mordred and Artoria display - abilities you wouldn't get a s a fighter. But you can of course also play her as fighter - though in that case I would recommend to consider picking up more levels in Barbarian as well.
hm maybe I had my volume tuned up to high when I was editing - seemed good to me. And yeah it's one of those Unearthed Arcanas that probably never get printed in an official book lol
I think this is a very flavorful and Mordred build. High damage but not fully optimized for it, fitting her more impulsive nature. I would love to see Waver Velvet (Lord El-Melloi the 2nd) as a build since his skills seem like they will require a bit of interesting multi-classing.
Honestly can’t really think of much. We don’t get to see him doing a whole lot of magecraft, and he isn’t really talented as a mage either. Given his spin-off novels i would maybe give him a couple of levels in inquisitive rogue. I like Waver a lot but there isn’t really a lot to work with - unless we let him use the abilities of Zhuge Liang he gets in FGO as a pseudo servant
@@TrickyFox93 I think some levels in bard (college of Lore maybe) make sense He is good in inspiring his students and being 2nd(?) most bangable teacher in clock tower should land him pretty high on charisma chart. Plus Waver arcane knowledge is very wide so he could know some druidic or cleric spells that bard would provide.
@@TrickyFox93 Oh i wasnt like, requesting anything, i figure you've got a list of things you wanna work on. Valor Bard is a great call though! I would say the same, split it between Glamour Bard and Bladesinger wizard pretty evenly (10 and 10 gets you the ability to defy death from blade singer, d10 inspiration, magical secrets and most of the things you'd want from bard) if only because nero isnt really a 'warrior' in the same way the other saberfaces are. Again, i was mostly just joking. Anyhow, welcome back and stuff!
Kinda surprised you didn't take a few draconic sorcerer levels for that sweet dragonblood and spells like Aganazzar's Scorcher, Lightning Bolt, and sunbeam to mimic her Clarent Blood Arthur. I also would've gone Conquest Paladin since it fits beautifully

oof. I do have Melt in FGO and she certainly is a pretty useful unit - but I honestly am not quite sure where to start with her. Would maybe look into some other Sakura-faces first lol

I hope there is more Apocrypha builds. Mordred was my favorite servant but I'm excited for several of the sevants.
