- We traveled to my home town of Vancouver, British Columbia, where Oliver met my parents (his "grandparents") for the very first time! Watch as Oliver goes to the beach in Vancouver and makes some new friends!

Really lovely seeing Oliver meeting his grandparents and exploring their house. He was so excited. Your Mum was right - curious is the perfect word. He enjoyed all the other sights and smells of Vancouver too by the looks of it. Must have been nice being back home for a bit and seeing it again. Luckily Brownie survived for another day, despite Oliver's obvious affection for him!

I think Oliver would be happy living in his grandparents' house. His tail wagged while walking through all the rooms, but he did not go into the bathroom because he saw a bath tub and he knows what that means!

Glad to know your Canadian roots are still intact and your skills at the piano are 'sourced' in-part from a talented mom. No matter how old we get, it is always comforting to know you can always go home with your partner and be welcome and loved. Vancouver with the epic Coal Harbour and the beautiful parks is a great destination to live or visit. Quite surprised Oliver was not afraid of heights on the bridge. Continued peace on your journey back to Chicago.

It's clearly visible, how much Oliver loves new actions and adventures, even at new locations, and to meet new people. He probably discovers quickly that he just saw your parents the first time. There are many ways to find that out - observing - thinking - using his nose to smell relationships, etc. - he is the happiest Beagle, awesome!

Your parents are so nice to let cameras roam around their house uninhibited and uncensored. But they certainly have a lovely home to be proud of! Be sure to tell them "thank you," that we all appreciate them sharing their house and their first seeing you after so long, with all of us.

How to teach a Beagle to not get too friendly with cats? My Beagle girl approaching stray cats with so friendly attitude when i walked her so often, while we'all know they're not always friendly and maybe have some diseases. Sometimes they growl to my dog even my Beagle only lay down with a wagging tail in front of them.

One of the 100s of things I love about Oliver is his love of stairs (and stares.) His curiosity knows no bounds, and the thought 💭 are spot on. You are an amazing Papa (or Daddy?) to your amazing fur-son.
Yes, Oliver and stairs have had a long and complicated relationship! They were challenging when he was a little puppy, but these days, he just gallops up and down them! He also loves hanging out on the stairs, usually on the biggest step. You could write a whole novel about Oliver and the stairs!
