    Those wild goose chases due to unclear customer notes are the bane of my existence. Great Video as always Rick.

    Had plenty of these type calls before....unfortunately it'll probably still happen in the future....part of our job is to take bits and pieces sometimes from several different people and put together a full picture that makes sense.....HVAC DETECTIVES....AND PROFESSIONAL PUZZLE SOLVERS.
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND LORA AND THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY

    🤦🏽‍♂️🤣 Welp this video makes me feel better. I am not the only one who goes through this dumb stuff. I asked a chef about a GFCI. He didn't know what i was talking about. He never dealt with one in his life. This bother me. So later i walked him over to show him one. He never knew that is what it was called.
    Probably grow up with a single mother. 😂

    Those split pulleys are adjustment pulleys and they are supposed to be replaced by a set pulley when the buildings airflow is balanced. I know its never going to happen but that is how it supposed to be 😀

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  Рік тому

      I have never seen anyone do that or read it in the installation manual.

      I can only speak for how we did it back in the old days in Sweden before we had pressure transducers and VFD.and the fans was either on or off
      The purpose of the adjustment pulley was that you didn´t have to change pulleys if you needed more or less air. Then when all adjustments where made and airflows measured in the building you slapped on a set pulley to avoid the risk of some expert ruining it by twisting the pulley when changing belts for example.
      In Sweden the airflow have to be measured and adequate every few years depending on the building and ventilation system.

    Great video Rick. I always scan the breaker itself on mystery trips. Have found a couple of bad ones. Hope everyone is ok. Happy 🦃

    just curious, what was the issue with the LP trips? and was the main breaker tripping? What was the final solution?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  Рік тому

      I believe the blower was tripping out on overheat causing the low pressure trip. I did not have any problems after this call.

    Are there people out there that reset a tripped breaker every 1/2 hour? I ask because where I work we are required to call an electrician to reset a tripped breaker.

    Was going to leave a comment about turning the pulley with just the Allen screw.But that was way too tight. Looks like somebody else was helping ,stop helping.
