I am sorry Adam but you said to throw away all those charts for charcoal. The charts all tell you that you need 1/3 on the bottom and 2/3 on the top for an approximate 350 cooking range. Cowboy Kent will tell you that None of us that use charcoal are real cooks. But hey we all have to start somewhere. If you are lookin you ain't cookin and ya got to turn the pot 90 degrees at least every 15 min an the lid 90 in the opposite direction at the same time just my opinion. I learned how to D.O. cook with briquettes and then learned how to do the live fire cooking. I see what you are trying to get out in your video but those charts still apply even if you want to increase the temp regardless of the size of the briquets. Still Nice video and Don't Forget there Ain't no Lovin Like Dutch Oven Lovin!
@strongsadventures The reason why charts make it difficult is A lot of companies have now shrink the size of their burquettes. So I normally use B&B But if I use Kingsford I might have to double the amount. This is why I made this video as I had a lot of people request it because the charts were throwing them off. But if it works for you thats awesome👍
Adam I am really sorry. After rereading my comment it looked like I was being snark and condescending and for that I do apologize. I didn't realize after 2 years you only had 500 subs. Me and Rhonda might have to come back off of our 2 year vacation to promote your channel(you really should have more) . Please get into the Cast Iron Wednesday videos. They are an awesome group of folks and I think you would fit in.
@strongsadventures It's okay water under the bridge. To be honest I started this channel because I used to be a scout master and I miss teaching. I even volunteer for free for the Texas parks and wild life teaching a dutch oven class at lake corpus christi state park. I should probably dedicate more time to the channel. But I got too many irons in the fire.
@@T260. Haha tell us about that. That is why we haven't put out a video in 2 years. Real life does get in the way. I really would suggest that you look up the Cast Iron Wednesday folks. There are lots of recipes that we share and if you put your video out on Wednesday and tag it Castiron Wednesday you might get more views. We live in North east Texas Or what the tax people say North west Louisiana LOL.
@strongsadventures I will definitely look into that cast iron group. Thank you for the information. I was just camping up in northeast Texas this summer at Atlanta State Park.
