DM: Beware adventurers, for this darkness is not like the darkness seen in most other dungeons. In this labyrinth of evil and gloom, the darkness is a living being, a monster beyond natural understanding, only barely held back by the light of your torches. Man, my friends and I rented this game out for Halloween, and we had so much fun with it! It even recommends an official Spotify playlist that you can have in the background and playing with only candlelightfor the mood. So much tension and fun.

I haven't played it, but my worry is that it is mostly luck based and not much strategy or tactics are required, based on my impression given all the random elements presented in this video. You should try out forbidden island where you work together and trade cards with each other so you can get all of the statues and escape as the island slowly sinks into the sea.
Only time I played Forbidden Island was with a type-A red personality who just told everybody what to do, so it looked kinda fun watching him play himself I guess?
@@seanlee2730 Darkest Dungeon is a very stylish and challenging turn-based RPG. It also involves exploring dungeons with a party of very mortal heroes, and you have a torch that you can ignite or snuff to alter the risk and rewards of your delve. The end game kinda drags on and can become a slog, but the music, art, narration, atmosphere, and combat are all really good.
Reminds me of Forbidden desert but more eldritch horror than Steampunk. Your airship crashed in a desert and you need to find all the missing pieces to fix it up and get it. However there is a storm brewing. After each players turn the storm covers up and moves tiles around. With the sun beating down on you, you need to manage your water supplies with cover or special artifacts. Get all the pieces back to the landing site to win.
Very interesting concept. And it’s nice to see that some people are still interested in board games. My only suggestion is that perhaps the candle playing pieces should be 3-D and stand up to make them easier to move. (Maybe even make each one a color coded LED light.)
This reminds me a lot about The Darkest Dungeon and I already love it. I have to buy it. It would be even cooler to play it while being actually in the dark with only candles and if you lose, you blow out the candle
I've only seen a handful of your videos thus far, and I'd like to try all of these for my little group. These I haven't seen covered by any other channel. Good stuff.
Love this one. No one will believe this, but a buddy of mine had me over to play test this game before it’s release. He ended up buying two copies when it came out and has some cool metal keys and spooky figures for it too. Highly recommend.
Fear & Hunger and Amnesia had a child and it was a board game
Fear and hunger amnesia and inscription all in one
Will it grow into a video game?
Fear and Hunger: that's not my child. It has all its limbs intact
This reminded me more of dark wood
@@TenmaBackup Dark Wood doesn't really have dungeons like this. I may be wrong since I haven't finished the swamp yet.

Real cool idea. It is good to see that board-games are still alive and well, along with the highly imaginative creation of new ones.

Yeah
Board games are super super active tbh. It's awesome

Yeah! I’m in a couple of clubs and I swear someone shows up with a new board game every week!
The table top scene is huge brother.
This sounds like a hellish game. I'm going to use it to inspire a dnd dungeon

Now that I think about it, you could probably use this game for the dungeons!
Yes, I will do this too. It’s strange how so much can be used for DnD
