Set aside whether or not the ship is any good. It costs 5,800 doubloons to buy Mysore in the Armory. The premium pass costs 2,500 doubloons. If you don't have it already, the premium pass and playing gets you the ship at a 3,300 doubloon discount.
And then that way, you can't get a Mysore drop out of a Santa container this year.

The main value of the premium bp is in the attached missions for the early access cruisers you buy for commonwealth tokens, if you play a couple of games in the new cruisers earning a total of 1000 base xp, (I think from t5-t9) you get a bonus permanent xp /credits boost package that would normally cost dubs for each equivalent ship level. Unlikely you will get enough commonwealth tokens to get beyond T7, but it was handy for me as I didn't have any of those permanent bonuses for those mid tiers, if the bonus packages are not useful to you don't buy the premium BP.
most valuable thing out of those tokens is free port slots. eco boosters are pretty useless on irrelevant tiers

I'm also looking at the BP as extra coal and port slots...if they had some mire Steel there it'd be more attractive.
The 10K coal for the missions is also attractive to a Coal Miner like me.😜
BUT you then need to go gamble in boxes using dubs for the last ship needed...that's a bit scaley! 🤔🧐🤔

@@dustinmccrindle343 i got my supply of dubs with 200% dubs coupon, so for the rest of year I get BP if I see any value in it at basically 50% off.
Getting it for resources only, ships for token (even with eco booster) are worthless, and absolutely ignoring lootcrates or buying tech tree ship for dubs
Having mysore here, is tiny added benefit of getting it off the SC and xmas crates drop list for cheap
i agree with your logic, i am looking at the same thing. for 2500 dubs you get the bonus pack for each tier from 6-10. just the savings on the tier 9 &10 is 6100 dubs. i will use the 10 for my Schlieffen and the 9 for my reset line kitikazi to work through it even faster. i have been on an event pass strike, but these 2 boosters have a real in game value for me. wish the pay line still had steel and RB points.
Excellent resume. You also can count in the free port slot that you get with each ship that would have cost 200 doublons each if I'm not mistaken.
And not each player has a ton of credits. If you wait until those ships enter the techtree to be researched, you have to buy each ship for credits as well as their B-hulls as well as their improved main battery. Not having to do that on t6 and t7 thanks to the premium pass must save something like 15 million credits ?
I've had Mysore for a while and it's definitely a ship made for people who like the mid-tier UK CLs (Ie Leander, Fiji, Dido) because as PQ says it is just them with crawling smoke. I find it to be no better or worse than Leander; bit more health and tighter turn, but slower rudder shift and slower speed and I feel like it get's hit more often, but that may be Leander is one of my favourite ships and Mysore I only play now and then. Perth is probably the better Commonwealth Prem on balance.
However, Mysore is a decent captain trainer and at least it's a Prem ship rather than a Tech Tree ship as a "reward", and relevant to the new line.

If you have dubs to burn, then this is fine. If not - like me - I'll hold off til next update.
I think she's a fun ship, but they should have added something...maybe made her more of a sub killer, like the rest of the line? (THAT would tempt me, coz I LOVE subs. 😂😂😂)
As is, I'll just play the British CL and Perth, which seem very similar.
Mysore has better armor than Leander, Fiji and Dido.

I feel you PQ, every time I see you get frustrated to the point where you just can´t play anymore because of the CVs and subs...that´s me. What you said at the end about WG concentrating on the negative aspects of the game is so true. It seems to that the more we complain about CVs and subs, the more WG pumps out those classes. I just don´t understand that strategy of pissing off a large portion of your player base.
They did this to world of tanks on the Xbox. The game became complete garbage after update 6.0 back in December of 2020. Completely ruined it for me and my friends who played it with me. I refuse to play a game that hates its players.

Especially since even with the premium track you only get enough tokens to get the tier 7 commonwealth tech tree instead of the tier 8 as usual. Which is even worse considering the bonus package mission chain further incentivizing people to gamble on crates for more tokens to get the bonus packages for the high tier commonwealth cruisers

I was getting premium BP when it rewarded with T7 premium ship but mainly extra levels of BP giving you boxes with blue boosters and also 1K coal.
They have nerfed even those free slots there.
Those perma economic boosters are lesser importance once consumable give you X times more and you can use them on any ship.
Still hesitating if I get pre. BP this update, its not much doubs, most I get either free or from ranked, but its better get some T8 premium I don't have than get every stuff WG brings.
Christmas BP is usually worthy to get.
I'm digging it. It's great for capturing caps. Especially at the beginning. And the guns r spicy.
in my observations, if players like something like asyms or airship modes, they (WG) won't make them perma-modes, but if players voice their hatred of subs and CVs for years on end WG makes them part of the game in every aspect, and even when they "nerf subs and CVs they also buff them in 3 other ways.

A useful ship. Cant be as aggressive as with the new line but the heal helps and she can do some capping. Not a bad ship. I recommend using the 4 pt AA buff. You will kill a lot more planes and more important your creeping smoke will recharge faster, and it is your creeping smoke that allows you to kill ships.

The state of subs + carriers is the reason I just have fun in Operations, and avoid random all together.
In memory of Worcester guy, play Worcester for some therapeutic light cruiser gameplay! And extra points with an AA build to try and curb the cv insanity at top tier!
I bought the battle pass to save me time. The extras commonwealth tokens get you an extra 2 tiers up the line I think? If I need 20-30 games per ship to get the XP to upgrade, I’m probably spending 4-5 hours per tier. Most jobs will pay you at least $15/hr, so paying $10 to save 5-10 hours of grind is worth it to me.
Only thing better is double-carrier/triple-sub/side. Got one of those.
It is actually a tier 7 Fiji without the torps and one less turret. My experiences with it are OK but I do miss HE.
This game is going to hell so fast now, all of my friends pretty much bailed now after the recent sub buffs, this thing is pretty sad.

Well any tier D ship that did damage or sinks cvs, subs it automatically goes to tier s ship for me.
My advice is the Mysore is a ranked monster. It sucks in randoms, don't bother with it. But if you're looking for a free rankout for tier 6 ranked seasons...Mysore is a top 5.
As Flamu said awhile ago, the BattleAss only gets worse, never better. True words.
I would say that the entire gets worse, never better in general, not just the battles pass.
I think he gets focused a bit extra. I don’t run into carries that much.
remember: *13.3? is Wisconsin Dockyard You would want to ask yourself if you have the doubloons to fund both the pass and the dockyard (if you refuse to fork over money)

The coal, potential port slots and a bargain price on the Mysore aren't a bad. (I think it was 5,6K dubloons back in the day)
But I have the Perth and Brittish CL line, so it's not as worth while.

there is no way, that dmz guy in your chat was in one of my games a couple weeks ago playing gearing and literally losing his mind over the an enemy rhode island having a radar, he was just slinging slurs all over at this guy who is using his radar to spot a dd... y'know how it's meant to be used and all, it was hilarious. especially considering the rhode island radar is only 9km and not super long either. apparently this dmz guy is an actual menace in all tiers

How much do you get if you already have it? I think I got it this new year...
Tou just some Commonwealth Event tokens (and not a single Doubloon!) if you already have the Mysore (and get level 20 on the premium pass). Those tokens might push you closer to the Tier 8 Tech Tree but I think it still won't be enough. You can check the compensation by hovering over the Mysore in the battle pass.

Mysore predates the new tech tree. You're just observing they didn't change an existing ship.
More like asking why a paid ship doesn't immediately get the same gimmick as its free tech tree counterparts? - asking why people are getting ripped off?
The only thing that really pisses me off is the pathetic compensation if you already have Mysore. This is a T6 Premium Cruiser but it's worth far more than 360 CT quite frankly, 3,600 CT may have been a better compensation for a Ship that cost 5,800 doubs. Other than that I'm fine with BP.

The battle pass was pretty decent last year, for 2500 dubs, lots of extra coal and steel, the occasional premium ship, no stupid and worthless camos. This year it sucks. You are only getting early things you will be able to grind in a couple of months. Until this one they also raised the price by 1k dubs, but I think few were buying, so they brought it back down. IMO: Already having Mysore, she's decent, but struggles in uptier. And... I'm pretty sure we do have years of complaining about CVs.🤣🤣

I get all the complaints about subs and cvs but I can’t stand it when he treats blind drops like they’re any different from blind firing. It takes skill and luck to be able to hit a ship you can’t see, no matter what ship you’re playing. Earlier today I got triple citted in my smoke by an enemy Monty who hadn’t fired at me once all game. They just saw my tracers and killed me with good aim and good rng. And I’ve killed a decent few smoked up dds with torp planes too. Let me tell you, trying to hit some of the smallest ships in the game with torpedos that go only 50 knots isn’t easy to do.

I agree that War Gaming sucks bring Subs into the matches. I am demanding that War Gaming brings a Hybrid Tank where one can do drone strikes into World of Tanks. It would be fun and engaging.
Not sure if you play eu server i doubt it.....last weeks is pain, 1 out of 60 are fun...had a run of 8 games with super cv, 3 super dds and a sub in a tier 9 bb ....lasted 4minutes in 4 of them 🤷🏼....and the toxicity on the chat 😵💫... unbelievable...so yeah, wargaming great job👌

Why I almost never play randumbs below tier X. It’s only ranked that I play lower tiers.

You can still see super CV at tier 10 which is not any better tbh. At least low tier CV can be snipe instead of the BS armored flight deck that high tier CV have that bounces everything. Fuking CV man. Ship class for the disabled

Premium T-VI has little to offer. The economic rewards of a T-VI are hardly worth the effort. The base cost reduction for T-VI post-battle service is from 23,000 to 20,700. When modules cost millions of credits this is insignificant. And the 5% bonus to credits doesn't change the math significantly. The other bonuses don't really matter since credits is the bottle neck and one will almost always need more credits before they need more XP.
Why do you care about blind drops?
I don’t mind paying for a fixed outcome. It’s the damn gambling boxes that I can’t stand. I feel like I usually get my money’s worth from the battle pass. Particularly if there’s a premium in it.

The only thing that makes me happy is watching this game fail. Until Lester sells this game, its just going to get worse. Such a shame though as its still my favorite game to play on PC!

Of course it depends on a players situation and desires with the game. For me it is hot garbage. I already have the Mysore. I never play it. I have more coal than I can spend. 1200 steel is ok but by itself it justifies nothing. I'd pass.
My feelings exactly... I love to play this game but can't stand playing it at the same time. WOWs has almost totally destroyed this game.
That match is exactly why I quit the game. Just double cv and sub every match, at least that's how it felt, just made the game frustrating to the point it was no longer fun. I seriously don't understand why War Gambling didn't limit the match maker to one cv, one sub, per match and no I don't care if those players have to wait longer. Regardless, well played. I got the Eyesore free out of a box some time ago and never liked it although I usually did well in it; I don't think most people knew what it was.
i found tier 6 allways have 2x CV and subs. for all the seal clubers out there
It's more because of the tier gap in CVs and Subs, paired with the relative low payout for those classes at those tiers causing a lot of players to stall out when grinding up the tech trees. Leading to a mass of players at T6 just trying to get into the higher tier CVs/Subs.
They are grinding 2 tiers worth of XP on 1 low tier ship. That's what causes the double CV/Sub games. Seal Clubbers are at T5 playing Kamikaze and Giulio Cesare.

Only if I can uncheck anything I want as well. So no more needing to care about Overmatch in my French Super Cruisers, or no more having to worry about radar cruisers while playing DDs, or no more having to worry about DDs while playing BBs.
If you want to be able to block out some ship classes you have to let anyone block out any ship class they want. Very quickly you would likely find basically no players in your specific "no sub, no cv" bracket, because as a whole DDs would be "no cv, no cruiser, Cruisers would be "no sub, no bb" BBs would be "no sub, no dd", CVs would be "no cruiser, no sub" and subs would be "no dd, no cruiser"
People would block their ships counters, or at least good players would block their ships counters.

@@watdeneuk Most of the Pacific naval battles were carries sending waves of planes at each other or other surface ships. It wasn't entertaining, but very effective, which in WoWS terms, was the meta of naval combat in WW2 in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.
You can't use historical precedents in a game like World of Warships.

They tend to do this whenever they hear someone complains about CVs and this is quite annoying.
And I suggest making a video about the Sub nerf in this patch (and the hydrophone nerf in the last patch).

(fr, that maneuverability buff didn't affect that much as well, and people still complain as hard as they could. Just why?)
