I think you lads might be playing Ruins a little wrong, in order to see through a ruin you need to be wholly within unless you're Titanic. "Toe'ing" in like you are lets you be seen, not see through.

Both armies look wicked. I love the Necrons color and the Tyranids remind me of these massive snow crab color. Those spiny almost insect look. So sick. If I were to make a army and sell it both are a great pick. Easier to paint to.

The shot through the square tower at the big Tyranid ... firing through a hole the size of a ten pence would have drawn dodgy looks from my gaming circle for sure.

Great game, love to see the Nids get up. I believe you are playing Ruins differently than intended, might be a house rule but thought I'd mention.

@@StrikingScorpion82 my understanding is that you can no longer just tap into ruins to gain LoS. A model must be wholly within a ruin to be able to have LoS out of it to shoot. If you are tapped in or half in half out your model can be seen but cannot see. Does that make sense?

I may have missed it but did he ever fire free overwatch with the Hexmark? I know he shot back several times but never heard it maybe didn’t have the angle
I was aware of it and tried to avoid opportunities to let the hexmark do it. So it didn't happen very much in this battle 🙂👍
I played this match up two days ago, very similar lists, we just bounced off each other for 5 turns. Nids cannot kill necron blobs but Necrons damage output is anaemic so they can’t kill big monsters either.
Makes sense lore wise. They're both two giant Death Plagues.

Little correction. FNP are split between: Normal, Dev Wound FNP, Mortal Wounds FNP & Physic Attack FNP. Unless you have rules thst specifically state you have a FNP against those certain keywords the FNP won't apply. It's an absolute bloody headline to remember cause I thought they'd combined it into one FNP but apparently not.
I think we need to remember 10th is intended to be simplified not simple.
whats the exact rule for that? / can you let me know what page or section of the 40k app? as far as I have read a standard 5+ feel no pain would allow you to take the feel no pain against ANY kind of attack. The keyword specific ones are just restrictions. E.g if a model has FNP against mortal wounds it can use it vs mortals. If another model has just FNP, it can also use it against mortal wounds. If this is what you are saying then I completely missunderstood what you said, sorry.
1) can’t take a red orb and tac arrow, it’s one or the other
2)C’tan can teleport and shoot because it’s assault weapon
3)getting heavy rule wrong. doomstalker standing still is hitting on 3s. Doomstalker moving but in range of coronal is also hitting on 3s.

@@StrikingScorpion82I’d probably drop the ophydians and instead of the overlord because of the change to the free stratagems rule, I’d take Imhotek for the extra Cp each turn. With 10 lychguard instead of the immortals it comes to 1990 pts

38:45 Yes in 10th RAW everything gets cover. Even a literal 1mm grain of sand (if you count it as Battlefield Debris) between 2 units grants cover since bases are part of the model too. Same applies to the tinniest of hills or any height difference, if 0.00001% of the base is obscured you still get the benefit of cover. One would have to try real hard not to be in cover, even by accident, but of course most play with RAI in this case. EDIT: Haha if I ever faced you I'd do ya a favor and Vect your Command reroll to cost 2CP, it would fix your unbalanced karma.

Yes some have said they worse off. But the nids adapt👍🙂 used the new codex and points from the book🙂👍😎

Page 7 of the 10th edition core rule book definitely says you can remove it as long as both players agree.
As a Tyranids fan, the Crusher Stampede detachment is just depressingly weak. Plus that assimilator is consistently unimpressive. Compare the points values between it and the C'tan, and consider their respective rules, and you have to wonder why GW's standards consistently seem to shift downwards when designing Tyranid datasheets.
Also, don't forget your carnifexes' special rules. After all, you're paying for them!
Why does the guy that you play with never know the rules doomstalker is on 3s if character has coronal he doesn't play necrons well at all each game I'm crying at how bad he uses the army
