idk, i thought i had it down with bandos pretty well, but now im back to dying every 1-2 kills on kril.... This is frustrating, it's x100 times harder than CG or TOA
@@LactatingLuke Best tips I can give you is: click on him as soon as your in the last tile that is still "underneath" him. (Tag-all can help with this) and then also click three tiles before you reach the end. (The red tiles). So you shoot on the red tile, click the door/altar, wait until the last tile that's still underneath him, click the opposite red tile, wait until your 3 tiles before the next red tile (so a 2 tile gap) and attack, click on red tile and attack. Repeat ad nauseam, this works in both directions.
Man the imps are mad at me, I killed hundreds of them so far learning this method lol... Even in some ways harder than corrupted gauntlet since one mistake throws you off cycle and it's tough to recover. But it's very satisfying to learn, getting ~3 kill trips now and I can see myself improving every trip. Metronome plugin also helped a lot for me.
This was expensive to learn (lost around 200k each death for me) but totally worth it. Thanks for this method. I'll move from the cannonbase methods to your bandos method next time!

This is awesome dude. Any tips for attack locations for tile markers in between tile near door and tile near alter, or do you just kinda eyeball it? I find myself attacking too early and it goofs up resetting. Thanks!
There'd be too much confusion with additional tile markers IMO. Because it's hard to tell whether the marker is for eastwards or westwards movement. But you can try it if you want. I think it's easiest to just just be in the rhythm, attack every 4 ticks (= 2.4 seconds). Eyeballing is also possible. If running through zamy for example, you need to click zammy when you nearly get out of him.
Great guide first of all. Easily the most solid method imo. The only big problem I have is when he first spawns. I feel like I just don't have the timing down for when to attack him and that messes up part of the kill sadly.
Instantly click on him when he spawns. And 0.6 seconds later, click the altar. If that's too little reaction time for you, you can move the 2 tilematkers 1 tile towards the west. This allows (or rather, requires) you to do your first shot 0.6 seconds later.

Hey Man. Huge fan. Love all your vids. I've finally gotten bofa/crystal armor on my iron and am learning these.. 2 questions: 1. Do thralls mess this up? 2. Do i need to attack every 4 ticks or only on the marked tiles? Thanks!
1) If you start the kill with a thrall already active, I can see it messing up the flinches. The thrall's first hitsplat is not allowed to appear before your first bofa's hitsplat. You can spawn the thrall slightly before K'ril respawns (or at any time after K'ril respawns), and then it should be fine. Keep in mind though that if you mess up the cycle, the thrall will likely cause you to not be able to get in cycle anymore. 2) The marked tiles are important since the shots from those tiles cause K'ril to flinch. The other attacks aren't needed to stay in the cycle. It's important though that the timing of the marker tiles' shots stay correct. Shooting a tick earlier or later from such tile ruins the cycle, since K'ril's position would not be correct and/or the shot wouldn't cause K'ril to flinch.

@@dylanlalonde The important thing is to shoot once every 4 ticks (2.4 seconds). How you count it in your head is up to personal preference, your suggestion is an example of something that works. Once you get the rhythm down it should be easy.
When attempting to fix a mistake, does switching prayers have something to do with fixing it? Or is it just related to negating minion damage? Also, is the attack on Kril when fixing necessary? or can you just stand there and be ready to click altar? Amazing video btw, you beauty.
Switching prayers doesn't help to fix it, but the boss can hit hard and it helps negate that damage. The attacks done before K'ril attacks you (while fixing a mistake) are completely optional and not necessary. It's just nice to not lose out on DPS. But yes, you can just stand there without attacking and be ready to red-X.
Getting the hang of this but I'm noticing I pretty much always get out of cycle whenever I have to eat, even though I'm eating where i'd normally attack? Any help appreciated
Hi I want to try this method on my main for combat achievements, but I can't access instances yet, how can I go about the first kill? I assume the boss just wanders around the room and doesn't freshly spawn when not using an instance
You can try set it up using the method at 1:19: 1) stand next to a tilemarker 2) start running through K'ril right after K'ril attacks you It's also possible to wait for K'ril to be east and then enter the room. Then time the first shot and movement perfectly. This allows you to set up the method without tanking any K'ril hits, but seems quite difficult to do because it's hard to tell what the right timing is.
Indeed, he has a 2/3 chance of doing melee and only a 1/3 chance of doing mage. My main goal was to avoid his YARRRRR special though, which can only occur when you are praying against melee. It's the hardest hitting attack. But if you look at the average damage taken instead of at maximum potential damage taken, then melee prayer is indeed better there.
Since Arma doesn't move when targetting him, there's no point in moving around, so I didn't make a guide for it. But you can try doing the following, each line is a tick/cycle: 1) click arma 2) click shield 3) click under arma 4) click fbow REPEAT It's possible to delay clicking the fbow until the next tick so you get hit less by the minions, but then you have to do multiple clicks on tick (1), which is effort.
hey brother, was thinking about incorporating blowpipe spec into this method, would standing 1 or 2 more tiles north, then instantly bp spec > Bowfa > Altar, and run back to the regular tiles work? Only for bp spec tho. let me know.
That doesn't work, because K'ril would start his flinch too early. So you would get hit after running through him. It is possible to incorporate a blowpipe spec though, if you do something similar as here for Graardor: ua-cam.com/video/rvkytWBKzKU/v-deo.html But it's quite tricky to do, easy to mess up. It's easier *and* better to do this method instead: ua-cam.com/video/muyx3_vXfVo/v-deo.html It's better because you tank 3x fewer melee minion hits, and it's easier because you don't need quick clicks to incorporate the bowpipe spec.
You actually need to wait 2-3 ticks before clicking the altar the first time. I as clicking 1 tick after kril spawned and he would simply walk right beside me and smack me.
I find this genuinely difficult lol. Any way you could re-upload with the metronome ticker on or something? I am too ape brained to get this I keep dying
I like using true tile indicator for these methods, makes it easier. You can look at the true tile marker in this video, and/or use the plugin yourself, to get the timing down better. If you want really to watch the video while a metronome is ticking you can play a 100 bpm metronome video along with it. But I won't be uploading a video that has the metronome already included, sorry.
I've gotten the regular kills down and its great, however im having issue with the fresh instance setup and end up having to just use your method for getting back into cycle. Before going into the instance do i need to wait for him to be in a particular area or wait for him on the first tile? Also 1 stam pot is only lasting me about 14 kills, not sure if im doing something wrong there. Awesome guide though, thank you!
You're supposed to not wait at all at any point when doing the fresh instance setup method. I'm not sure what ou'e doing wrong there, I'd have to see a clip of it. My agility level is 99. Having a high agility level helps a lot to reduce the amount of needed stamina potions. At level 96, you unlock the maximum bonus. This causes me to never require to drink any stam pots. It's still highly recommended to walk to pick up your loot, pray at the altar and then go to the starting tile though. If you want to save even more run energy, you can either manually walk the 3 outer tiles, or shift-walk those. Slightly more effort but affects your stam pots sustainability a lot.
Im curious about something.. This is method only works for BOWFA or can Tbow also be used? Because both weapons has a tick differences. I'm trying to practise it.

@@gamble0073 Instantly attack with a blowpipe hit, and then do the tbow hit. I *think* it still works if you did your blowpipe hit a tick late, but I'm not sure. I recommend doing the 5:0 tbow method because of the faster kills, but 6:0 bowfa is arguably easier to learn.
Exactly 1 tick, but yes. Perhaps enabling true NPC tile markers can help with the timing. - Click K'ril right after he moved 1 tile - Click the altar right after he moved another tile (this is right when you see yourself shooting)
hello, im having trouble here. i have learned the 8:0 bowfa method for kril and the bowfa method for bandos but i cant figure out how to get back in cycle with this one. you said in your video to get back in cycle wait for kril to hit you while standing on one of the end tiles and right when he hits you start the cycle. do you mean on the tick he hits you start the cycle? because thats what im doing and it never gets him back in cycle. please help
This video is for 6:0, not for 8:0. To fix the cycle, you have to stand *next to* one of the end tiles, not on them. This is very important. And you click to run right as you see Krril attacking you.

The method relies on K'ril flinching off the bowfa hit you shot right before. There are specific requirements for it to work. If you do the method correctly, those requirements are always satisfied. But if you make a mistake once, K'ril will start hitting you every time you move out from under him... Unless you fix it. An explanation for how to fix it is given at 1:20.
Are there any alternatives to this fresh instance setup that don't require moving on the first tick? I can't do this because of the loading screen and it's making me use a ton of supplies on first kill getting into the rhythm.
It's really dumb, but they implemented a "loaddelay" there. This means that your character stays stalled until your client tells the server that the client loaded the area. In the past, this went really quick, and I was even able to do a shot on zammy before starting to move. Later on, this seemed to be impossible as the stall lasts a tick longer, requiring you to move instantly instead of shooting. And now it seems like that doesn't work either anymore? It might work if you disable some resource-intensive plugins maybe, or improve your internet connection... Other than that, I don't know. Zammy's position is really awkward. Perhaps doing the same movement but skipping the first shot would work?
@@is2cake oh right. I confused this video with the tbow one, where there's no shot fired at the start already. Skipping the shot saves a tick yes, that works.
If comparing both setups for a maxed account with maxed gear, the TTK for non-tickloss attacks is 35.6 seconds vs 37.1 seconds. That's assuming no thralls though. On ancient magics, trip longetivity is no issue at all. You can stay as long as you want to, realisticly until you run out of ranged potions. If you bring arceuus spellbook for thralls and demonic offering, longetivity could be an issue for the Fbow method. The 9:0 Fbow method would be highly recommended to do instead of 6:0 due to tanking 3x fewer melee minion hits.

No, since those weapons have a lower attackspeed. I'd recommend looking up my zammy videos with tbow for those methods, since tbow has the same attackspeed as crossbows.
The ranged minion maxes 21 while the magic minion only maxes 16. If you do the calculations, it turns out this difference is enough to make protect from ranged the best option.
You know that normally, when standing under an agressive NPC, the NPC does random movements. Back in the early OSRS days, this caused you to do weird movement when standing under the NPC and trying to attack it, because the NPC itself did weird movements. As patch, jagex updated the game such that the NPC doesn't anymore when you click it. However, the implementation was more general than required. So even a red-X click on something else than the NPC causes your last targeted NPC to not move while under it. Tl;dr: the door/altar click causes zammy to not move while being under him.
I don't know about other 6:0 methods, but: - Compared with Lronic memes' 7:0 and 9:0 methods, this method is about 3% better DPS because you don't lose ticks. - Compared to my 9:0 method, it's technically worse since e.g. you get hit more often by the melee minion. But this probably doesn't really matter, and most people prefer 6:0 over 9:0 due to its simplicity.

No, since this method makes use of a 4-tick weapon while rune cbow is 5-tick. But there's a method for 5-tick weapons here: ua-cam.com/video/iFzLdQgRKag/v-deo.html I'd recommend using ancient magics instead of arceuus spellbook, so you have blood barrage to get back to full hp. Also, I wouldn't bother switching attackstyle to accurate since it isn't worth the effort.
Yes, the kills would just be a bit longer. You might also want to turn on one of the defensive prayers because having to eat during the kill is a bit awkward to do.
The reasons why I recommended pray mage while learning: - You'll take less damage from minions, since the melee minion isn't able to attack you nearly as often as the mage minion. - Zammy is only able to do its "YARRRR" special attack if you are praying melee. This attack always hits 35-49 damage and drains your prayer. Maybe if you're making LOTS of mistakes, then learning with melee pray could be better. But if you for example only tank 1 hit per kill on average, then learning with mage pray should be better.
Indeed, since tbow has a slower attackspeed. It's also not possible to adjust the tilemarkers to get the method to work: the room is 1 tile too small for that... x)
This specific method is only possible for 4-tick weapons, and can't be extended to 5-tick weapons. For 5-tick weapons, I recommend using this video: ua-cam.com/video/iFzLdQgRKag/v-deo.html In that video I do a lot of things that slightly increase the kills/hr, but aren't necessary. The combination of reactiontime + ping needs to be under 0.6 seconds for it to work. Having a respawn timer plugin helps a lot for the reacion time. But indeed, if you want to be able to delay your click, moving both tiles 1 west works nicely.
@@GeChallengeM I'm on mobile so no respawn timer, it would help a bunch as you arnt having to react to the spawn as you know when it comes. I found bandos the same move the whole thing 1 tile down
I have tried this so many fucking times and i just cant do it I have an ironman with bowfa and crystal legs and im on task. It's a shame. When i go into the room i get melee'd I can do CG and Zulrah AFK. (I understand character movement) I am not dumb but this is just not clicking.
I dont understand the timing from Kril's spawn for a regular kill and I think that ruins me every time. How long should you wait until you click the altar as if i click to early, i run north of kril when i attack, or if im too late i get hit off the spawn.
1) click k'ril 1 tick after he spawns. This is when he starts turning. 2) click altar right after attacking. Sounds like you didn't do (1). It's very important to delay that first click.

@@xneidhardt1843 you get hit after stepping out if you messed up earlier in the cycle. So you should avoid messing up earlier, i'd need to see a clip to know what you did wrong exactly, unless you're referring to your original attempts. Sometimes you might mess up regardless though, due to making a mistake by accident. If this happens, the cycle can be fixed by doing what I did at 1:19.
@@GeChallengeMAll the tips you have given got me a 12kc trip (i ran out of stamina). I found that adding in every tile to attack on helped immensely as well (using 1 for tiles to attack on when running east and 2 for tiles to attack on when running west). Focusing on how to reset the cycle also helps out a lot. Thank you for all your help, earned yourself a sub my man. Will be keeping an eye out for more of your content!
I just keep dying over and over again, It's been over 10 hours of in the instance trying to learn. You need to clarify when to shoot, as it isn't clear at all and you're shooting from different spots in the video.
The first kill is a regular kill, assuming you're already in the instance. The second kill is supposed to be for the first kill when entering the instance. Or did you mean that you don't know when to shoot during a kill? You have to shoot every time your weapon doesn't have attack cooldown. Basically, this means you have to shoot every 2.4 seconds (4 ticks).

@@dylanlalonde The important thing is to shoot once every 4 ticks (2.4 seconds). How you count it in your head is up to personal preference, your suggestion is an example of something that works. Once you get the rhythm down it should be easy.
When attempting to fix a mistake, does switching prayers have something to do with fixing it? Or is it just related to negating minion damage? Also, is the attack on Kril when fixing necessary? or can you just stand there and be ready to click altar?

Switching prayers doesn't help to fix it, but the boss can hit hard and it helps negate that damage.
The attacks done before K'ril attacks you (while fixing a mistake) are completely optional and not necessary. It's just nice to not lose out on DPS. But yes, you can just stand there without attacking and be ready to red-X.

Hi I want to try this method on my main for combat achievements, but I can't access instances yet, how can I go about the first kill? I assume the boss just wanders around the room and doesn't freshly spawn when not using an instance
You can try set it up using the method at 1:19:
1) stand next to a tilemarker
2) start running through K'ril right after K'ril attacks you
It's also possible to wait for K'ril to be east and then enter the room. Then time the first shot and movement perfectly. This allows you to set up the method without tanking any K'ril hits, but seems quite difficult to do because it's hard to tell what the right timing is.

Indeed, he has a 2/3 chance of doing melee and only a 1/3 chance of doing mage. My main goal was to avoid his YARRRRR special though, which can only occur when you are praying against melee. It's the hardest hitting attack. But if you look at the average damage taken instead of at maximum potential damage taken, then melee prayer is indeed better there.

Since Arma doesn't move when targetting him, there's no point in moving around, so I didn't make a guide for it. But you can try doing the following, each line is a tick/cycle:
1) click arma
2) click shield
3) click under arma
4) click fbow
REPEAT
It's possible to delay clicking the fbow until the next tick so you get hit less by the minions, but then you have to do multiple clicks on tick (1), which is effort.

That doesn't work, because K'ril would start his flinch too early. So you would get hit after running through him. It is possible to incorporate a blowpipe spec though, if you do something similar as here for Graardor: ua-cam.com/video/rvkytWBKzKU/v-deo.html
But it's quite tricky to do, easy to mess up.

It's better because you tank 3x fewer melee minion hits, and it's easier because you don't need quick clicks to incorporate the bowpipe spec.

You actually need to wait 2-3 ticks before clicking the altar the first time. I as clicking 1 tick after kril spawned and he would simply walk right beside me and smack me.
3 ticks yes: on the first tick I activate my prayers, on the second tick I click K'ril, and on the third tick I click the altar.

I like using true tile indicator for these methods, makes it easier. You can look at the true tile marker in this video, and/or use the plugin yourself, to get the timing down better.
If you want really to watch the video while a metronome is ticking you can play a 100 bpm metronome video along with it. But I won't be uploading a video that has the metronome already included, sorry.
I've gotten the regular kills down and its great, however im having issue with the fresh instance setup and end up having to just use your method for getting back into cycle. Before going into the instance do i need to wait for him to be in a particular area or wait for him on the first tile? Also 1 stam pot is only lasting me about 14 kills, not sure if im doing something wrong there. Awesome guide though, thank you!
You're supposed to not wait at all at any point when doing the fresh instance setup method. I'm not sure what ou'e doing wrong there, I'd have to see a clip of it.
My agility level is 99. Having a high agility level helps a lot to reduce the amount of needed stamina potions. At level 96, you unlock the maximum bonus. This causes me to never require to drink any stam pots. It's still highly recommended to walk to pick up your loot, pray at the altar and then go to the starting tile though.
If you want to save even more run energy, you can either manually walk the 3 outer tiles, or shift-walk those. Slightly more effort but affects your stam pots sustainability a lot.
Im curious about something.. This is method only works for BOWFA or can Tbow also be used? Because both weapons has a tick differences. I'm trying to practise it.

@@gamble0073 Instantly attack with a blowpipe hit, and then do the tbow hit. I *think* it still works if you did your blowpipe hit a tick late, but I'm not sure.
I recommend doing the 5:0 tbow method because of the faster kills, but 6:0 bowfa is arguably easier to learn.

Exactly 1 tick, but yes. Perhaps enabling true NPC tile markers can help with the timing.

hello, im having trouble here. i have learned the 8:0 bowfa method for kril and the bowfa method for bandos but i cant figure out how to get back in cycle with this one. you said in your video to get back in cycle wait for kril to hit you while standing on one of the end tiles and right when he hits you start the cycle. do you mean on the tick he hits you start the cycle? because thats what im doing and it never gets him back in cycle. please help
This video is for 6:0, not for 8:0. To fix the cycle, you have to stand *next to* one of the end tiles, not on them. This is very important. And you click to run right as you see Krril attacking you.

The method relies on K'ril flinching off the bowfa hit you shot right before. There are specific requirements for it to work. If you do the method correctly, those requirements are always satisfied. But if you make a mistake once, K'ril will start hitting you every time you move out from under him... Unless you fix it. An explanation for how to fix it is given at 1:20.

Are there any alternatives to this fresh instance setup that don't require moving on the first tick? I can't do this because of the loading screen and it's making me use a ton of supplies on first kill getting into the rhythm.
It's really dumb, but they implemented a "loaddelay" there. This means that your character stays stalled until your client tells the server that the client loaded the area. In the past, this went really quick, and I was even able to do a shot on zammy before starting to move. Later on, this seemed to be impossible as the stall lasts a tick longer, requiring you to move instantly instead of shooting. And now it seems like that doesn't work either anymore? It might work if you disable some resource-intensive plugins maybe, or improve your internet connection... Other than that, I don't know. Zammy's position is really awkward. Perhaps doing the same movement but skipping the first shot would work?
Skipping the first shot works if you find yourself being delayed by an extra tick when entering a fresh instance.
@@is2cake oh right. I confused this video with the tbow one, where there's no shot fired at the start already. Skipping the shot saves a tick yes, that works.
To be clear, we do the fresh instance method first in a private room but every kill after is the first clip from red tile to red tile?

How does this compare with the tbow method in terms of TtK and overall trip longevity?
If comparing both setups for a maxed account with maxed gear, the TTK for non-tickloss attacks is 35.6 seconds vs 37.1 seconds. That's assuming no thralls though. On ancient magics, trip longetivity is no issue at all. You can stay as long as you want to, realisticly until you run out of ranged potions. If you bring arceuus spellbook for thralls and demonic offering, longetivity could be an issue for the Fbow method. The 9:0 Fbow method would be highly recommended to do instead of 6:0 due to tanking 3x fewer melee minion hits.

No, since those weapons have a lower attackspeed. I'd recommend looking up my zammy videos with tbow for those methods, since tbow has the same attackspeed as crossbows.

Unless you're good at prayer flicking zammy with arclight, I'd say it's worth yes. Maybe give it a try, and decide after that.
Why protect from range over magic when your magic defence is lower and their accuracy the same?
The ranged minion maxes 21 while the magic minion only maxes 16. If you do the calculations, it turns out this difference is enough to make protect from ranged the best option.

Also, I know it's necessary for this to work, but why does it matter that you click the altar or the door instead of just clicking across the room?
You know that normally, when standing under an agressive NPC, the NPC does random movements. Back in the early OSRS days, this caused you to do weird movement when standing under the NPC and trying to attack it, because the NPC itself did weird movements. As patch, jagex updated the game such that the NPC doesn't anymore when you click it. However, the implementation was more general than required. So even a red-X click on something else than the NPC causes your last targeted NPC to not move while under it.
Tl;dr: the door/altar click causes zammy to not move while being under him.

I don't know about other 6:0 methods, but:
- Compared with Lronic memes' 7:0 and 9:0 methods, this method is about 3% better DPS because you don't lose ticks.
- Compared to my 9:0 method, it's technically worse since e.g. you get hit more often by the melee minion. But this probably doesn't really matter, and most people prefer 6:0 over 9:0 due to its simplicity.

I'd recommend using ancient magics instead of arceuus spellbook, so you have blood barrage to get back to full hp. Also, I wouldn't bother switching attackstyle to accurate since it isn't worth the effort.

Yes, the kills would just be a bit longer. You might also want to turn on one of the defensive prayers because having to eat during the kill is a bit awkward to do.

The reasons why I recommended pray mage while learning:
- You'll take less damage from minions, since the melee minion isn't able to attack you nearly as often as the mage minion.
- Zammy is only able to do its "YARRRR" special attack if you are praying melee. This attack always hits 35-49 damage and drains your prayer.
Maybe if you're making LOTS of mistakes, then learning with melee pray could be better. But if you for example only tank 1 hit per kill on average, then learning with mage pray should be better.

Indeed, since tbow has a slower attackspeed. It's also not possible to adjust the tilemarkers to get the method to work: the room is 1 tile too small for that... x)

The combination of reactiontime + ping needs to be under 0.6 seconds for it to work. Having a respawn timer plugin helps a lot for the reacion time.
But indeed, if you want to be able to delay your click, moving both tiles 1 west works nicely.

I dont understand the timing from Kril's spawn for a regular kill and I think that ruins me every time. How long should you wait until you click the altar as if i click to early, i run north of kril when i attack, or if im too late i get hit off the spawn.
1) click k'ril 1 tick after he spawns. This is when he starts turning.
2) click altar right after attacking.
Sounds like you didn't do (1). It's very important to delay that first click.

Following on from that, how late do you click the door because I tend to get hit right after i step out the west side from Kril to attack. Well, I get attacked after i step out to attack each side :(
@@xneidhardt1843 you get hit after stepping out if you messed up earlier in the cycle. So you should avoid messing up earlier, i'd need to see a clip to know what you did wrong exactly, unless you're referring to your original attempts.
Sometimes you might mess up regardless though, due to making a mistake by accident. If this happens, the cycle can be fixed by doing what I did at 1:19.
@@GeChallengeMAll the tips you have given got me a 12kc trip (i ran out of stamina). I found that adding in every tile to attack on helped immensely as well (using 1 for tiles to attack on when running east and 2 for tiles to attack on when running west).
Focusing on how to reset the cycle also helps out a lot.

I just keep dying over and over again, It's been over 10 hours of in the instance trying to learn. You need to clarify when to shoot, as it isn't clear at all and you're shooting from different spots in the video.
The first kill is a regular kill, assuming you're already in the instance. The second kill is supposed to be for the first kill when entering the instance.
Or did you mean that you don't know when to shoot during a kill? You have to shoot every time your weapon doesn't have attack cooldown. Basically, this means you have to shoot every 2.4 seconds (4 ticks).
