- We were in the parks on Friday to attend the premiere of Magic Happens. First time it would show in 3 years. But then it rained. A lot. Magic Happens was cancelled, but we did stick around for a while to play a little in the rain and to find out what everyone else was doing. Wound up being a very fun day!

This is the best video! I’ve always wanted to go to Disney on a rainy day
We go in December, so we usually have about two or three days of rain. My daughter loves President Lincoln’s animatronic character. She loves anything animatronic, and he just amazes her when he stands up and walks around. It’s a fave.
I was at Disneyland and I was rained out. Yet I was there until 10:00 pm. I have already seen Magic Happens when it was shown for Cast Members on 2/17 at 12:30 am.
A rainy day at Disney is still a better day anywhere else.

The last 4 years, SoCal has been getting more rain than ever.. My trip to DL in 2019 had crazy downpour, and it seems that since then there has been more consistent rainfall than ever.
Man. How the times sure have changed. As a Passholder from 2009-2015, I can assure you that rainy days at Disneyland were very much empty days, especially if it was a weekday probably between 2009 and whenever the 24hour Leap Day thing started (2012). Ever since then it's been crowded everyday rain or shine.
I love rainy days at Disneyland. Most everyone leaves and the lines are short. You can always find places to get out of the rain. We have had rainy days where we just walked on rides. It was great!
🥺 I'm jealous! We just went when it was raining on purpose and it was the most crowded we've seen it since the holidays! 🙈 But it's still magical for sure. ✨🩷 Seeing the statues in the dark and the rain was especially cool.

I was at Disneyland
I’ve camped out in docking bay both times I got stuck in the rain at Disneyland. It was packed both times so that was surprising to see it that empty. Kudos to you for braving the weather.

There is it called the horseshoe saloon in frontier town. They have some tables in the restaurant there, but I’m not sure if you have to get the food there to eat to eat there.
I love how Batuu castmembers look EVEN MORE STAR WARS when in their rain gear.

Hey, David, I have a very long project for you. When you went on Pirates of the Caribbean, as you were walking thru the chain switch backs, you walked right by the new trees without saying anything about them. How about once a month, or at least every six months, bring a tape measure, and measure the trunk of the trees and find a reference spot for the camera to film the trees with background to compare how they are growing. Then at the end of each year, and the end of each decade compare how much they are and have grown. Ok, it's not rocket science or anything spectacular, but its something to do, and something to talk about every year and every 10 years.
I mean, what the heck. Just more thoughts from Uncle Martin's attic.

it's not a suprise they cancelled the event it was raining after all. I felt sorry for those on the pirate ride couple weeks ago when their boat sprung a leak leaveing them strandedl for a hour before being rescued.
This storm will be here (Utah) on Sunday, but we generally know how to deal with snow. Well, some of us do...

Can you still ask to drive the mark twain? About 20 years ago I remember doing that when I was younger. We’re hoping to plan a trip for later this year and my kids would love that so I was curious if it’s still a thing. I immediately thought I bet David would know!

Oh David, Big Thunder Mountain in the rain is the best. My family rode it 14 times on a rainy day and we were laughing so hard and having a wonderful time. Yeah we got wet but a great memory to remember. Give it a shot sometime.
I always feel so bad for those families who have saved up for years and travelled from across the country only to get rained out. Poor little kids trying to enjoy it while also being cold and wet and the parents trying to make the best of what is an already exhausting day.
What a disney park in Seattle would be like. Not just rainy, but cold.
I do think it would be cool to have a rainy day at Disneyland. Never experienced that.
So I wear headphones most of the time when I watch your videos and I find it so funny to listen to all the people in the park and their conversations as you walk through without dialog. The things people say are so funny.

In 2021 I was at Batuu East, and it was just coming down cats and dogs... err... that is massifs and lolth cats. It had just turned dark and I was standing under one edge of the market place, across from the 'freshers. And it was suddenly so, so cool. With the lights above, and the sky a strange color, it really looked like I was on another planet. I'll never forget that.
Oh. And it was fairly crowded.

It sucks, I have been rescheduling our Disneyland trip since November!!!! We had a 3 day trip planned but weather keeps us from it. Guess we'll try again next month!
I was that day as well. For me it wasn’t raining hard enough. You don’t have to have soaked jeans and shoes. I have GoreTex boots, pants and jacket and was perfectly comfortable the entire time.
Rain or not I wish it was a Disneyland summer this year and I was making preparations with Getaway Today to go in July.

LOVE Disneyland in the rain! (It's best when it's 65 to 70 degrees!) Went one spring day. Was warm and raining Went on Space Mountain 5 times in a row. Each time we got off the ride, we would go back into the queue find the back of the line on the ramp in the loading room! We were thoroughly scrambled after 5 times literally in a row! Such fun! Small World, Star Tours , Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion are good rainy day rides.
And Space Mountain and Great moments with Mr Lincoln.
On a cold rainy day we rode star tours 10 times in a row with pretty much no line the whole time. It was so fun and a unique experience. Trying to guess what planets we would visit each time. Found ourselves saying "not Pod Racing again!" One of the best memories I have after going to Disneyland for 40 years.

Ah, memories! On my December 2019 trip, it rained multiple days, some of it quite heavy. I would have stayed out in it for hours if I didn't have to occasionally dry off. The feeling of the rain hitting my face is always a favorite sensation of mine.

David: About 4-5 weeks ago I noticed a DIVOT in the HAUNTED MANSION balcony scene's glass -- and it didn't have a SPIDER on it. On my next trip to the Park a few weeks later, I see there's a SPIDER over the divot. My friends say it's the same old spider hiding the same old divot that's been there all along. WHICH IS IT?

Crocs, poncho, and sweats. Best thing to wear on a rainy day. I learned from my visits to WDW.
When my daughter and I last visited Disneyland in the rain, we also had trouble figuring out where to eat that was covered and had a good place to sit down. Ultimately we went to the Golden Horseshoe, which had a good amount of unused seating upstairs. Will be on my rainy day dining shortlist for the future.
I didn’t happen on Saturday either no parades they don’t run praise in the rain
it poured when I was in Disneyland Tokyo. BEST experience ever. Place was like almost like a ghost town with minimal waits. Wife and I were soaked, but was worth it
The last rainy day at Disney we went on Bug Thunder like idiots and got more soaked than when we went on Splash 😂
We go over here for my birthday which is February 22nd. I got to see the new parade and then COVID hit and shut us down for a year. The day that you filmed this usually on rainy days we're glad because no one's there but by 6:00 between the blasting cold wind and the rain we threw in the towel. Originally Saturday was blacked out for magic keys but we got a reservation anyway for today Saturday and even though it rained there was hardly anybody in the park so it was a lot nicer day. As always we love seeing you fresh baked 🫂❤️‼️

I rode Rise both yesterday and today with a posted wait time yesterday of 45 and today 65. I was I was through the line and off in 25 minutes both times. Each time the line was right about at the start of cave. I really don't think anyone was using lightning Lane. Same thing with runaway railway. Very quick moving queue, about 20 minutes each time.
Disneyland in the rain is still better than anything else in the sunshine.
Watching pirates put me in the mood to watch the movies after this after all it is a rainy day on the east ps I love rainy days can take my time more and enjoy it

Did you guys get snow? I saw an article there is a blizzard warning still in effect. Dusting of snow by the Hollywood sign even some of the beaches. Crazy we got some Mesa last Strom maybe will get more.
