We are so pampered. We are so soft. So many distractions. The Lord has removed so many distractions from my life recently. Sports. Entertainment. Excess. Lord continue to change us. Create a right spirit in us!

Same. Lots removed over the course of my life, but especially recently. Some things I still struggle with, but there's a purpose why something is not done yet. With the Lord though things will continue to change with time.

For the last several months the Lord has put on my soul to pray earnestly for those Christians in middle eastern counties,that are being persecuted as I write this.I would like to ask anyone who reads this and feels compelled to also pray for them.We in our relatively lap of luxury in the western world have no idea what they face everyday.please pray for them.

Augustine wrote that (perhaps) the worst sin is despair because we take our sights off what Jesus can do for us. Whenever I despair, I remember that insight and turn my mind back to Christ. We are in the midst of civilizational decline such that many are vulnerable to despair and inclined to give up. Don't do it. Turn to Christ and ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you to the end.

He also claimed he was taught by Gamaliel, whose own teachings WENT AGAINST persecution of other religions! He brags, yet Jesus 'said' his followers were to be humble. He said circumcision was nothing, but then went and circumcised Timothy...
So we have someone who is a Roman, A Jew, Royalty, a student of the highly esteemed Gamaliel who had a hallucination, never mentioned jesus' birth or other important points about him....bit strange seeing as his writing was the first of the NT....and he opposed and taught against god and jesus. Yet christians live by his words, not jesus' (because paul created christianity) ....

@flossyarchibeque7394...interestingly, Christ told us all that we must "lose our lives" just to follow Him. He said to deny self, and get on the cross. The implication is that we die to self, die to sin, die to our "flesh". So it's the 1st thing we're commanded to do as believers. See Mt. 16:24-27, Mk. 10:28-30, and Lk. 14:26-33. This Life ain't no cakewalk. Even if we're not (yet) suffering persecution or being killed for our faith. "We must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God. " Acts 14:22.

Majority of us Christians in America have it really easy, me included and maybe we will until our deaths. But remember even if we do start to go through hard times like our past brothers and sisters, praise God our Lord and Savior Jesus through it all

I think this message is very important. I think before the Rapture we're going to see more than we think we are. And maintaining that faith is so important. But Jesus said he would be with us even until the end of the world. And we need to remember that.
Life is a test and you must endure and overcome to get the reward. Fight the good fight of faith and finish the race.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins , I find sin begins with a thought once we entertain that thought it’s not long before we are doing that sin.. king David sinned adultery & schemed to have the adulteress’s husband killed, yet God called him “a man after His own heart”, why?? Because David kept a short account with God he humbled himself he repented with his whole heart. there are days I’m holding onto the hem of my Lord’s garment. Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. Trust in the Promises of God🙌🏽 only believe. Many don't remember the moment, event, experience of the traumatic moment. God has wired us in such a way that we often just check out mentally, emotionally, and disconnect from reality. We go into shock! I know when I have had a near death, terrifying, moment time seems to stop and I go into a seemingly heightened alternate state of awareness. We trained survival skills so repetitively in the USN we didn't have to think in crisis just perform the skills. I believe this is why we are to meditate on God's word it carries us through it ALL. AMEN!

When I accepted Jesus in my life, I experienced greater persecutions and isolations from other people. But I remember that as we accept Him, we also accept His sufferings here on earth. Yes, we suffer, but we suffer for Christ, and that is the best thing we can ever experience.

I hope these prosperity preachers know that when you promise someone that they are going to be rich and powerful if they just pray to God that when it doesn’t happen, they are going to be frustrated. It will frustrate these people and harden their heart. It will make it easier for these people that felt misled to choose the mark.

The Holy Spirit told me two years ago that His people will be marked by JOY. About a year after meditating on scripture about Joy. The Holy Spirit showed me that there was going to be hard times but our joy must be found in Him.
