Personally, I wish YAGP would stop promoting such young dancers. Children at that age have bodies which are still forming and putting them in competitions or encouraging them to do complex variations is just asking for future joint and other health problems. What's the hurry... let these young dancers mature at safe pace.
Robotic perfection in technique but no joy, vulnerability or humanity shining through, every mechanical gesture and smile looks coached. Seeing girls like this is heartbreaking to me though I understand that others admire them. Let them have a childhood and mature naturally as people and as dancers. Then they'll have something to express in their dancing.

If I may know, where is that cupid variation from/what would I have to search to find it? It's so fresh and unique to my eyes, and she made it look effortless! 💕
This variation is known has the "Cuban Cupid" because it's performed in the Cuban National Ballet's version of the Dream Scene from Don Quixote. The music used is the Coda from the Paquita Pas de Trois. This variation is performed very often in Latin America, if you want to find more videos search for "Cupido Cubano" :)

If I may know, where is that cupid variation from/what would I have to search to find it? It's so fresh and unique to my eyes, and she made it look effortless! 💕
This variation is known has the "Cuban Cupid" because it's performed in the Cuban National Ballet's version of the Dream Scene from Don Quixote. The music used is the Coda from the Paquita Pas de Trois. This variation is performed very often in Latin America, if you want to find more videos search for "Cupido Cubano" :)

seriously are you hating children? Both are brilliant dancers and YAGP is a place where they will learn even more. I'm sure their teachers and competition judges know more about ballet than you do
