Not really....Acacia Strain, Between the Buried and Me(sound and member wise), Despised Icon, Job for a Cowboy, and All Shall Perish were all well established bands before Emmure even came out with their first Album
I remember when Petrucci asked for a guitar that will compliment his playing style, sadly he did not get that from Ibanez since they want to go straight RG style.. and now look at the RGD very similar with the EBMM Petrucci model. if only they listened to the guy he probably would be the first to have an RGD.
I like emmure but I don't think their play style works well with Ibanez quitars. They prefer riff style songs where as in my opinion Ibanez works better with more technically advanced play styles such as animals as leaders meshuggah and TesseracT
The comment section on here makes me sad. Lot of pissed off or flat out assholes shitting on this guy because they don't like his style, Jesus people he's doing what he loves, Lay off, don't see you doing much in comparison.
Why is everyone asking what the song is? Just listen to any given song by Emmure/Suicide Silence/Born of Osiris/Asking Alexandria/Attack Attack!/All Shall Perish/Impending Doom/any other given deathcore band and you'll get the same exact thing!
I love the basswood body, it gives the RG this awesome sound for sherdding and riffing. But i think most people cant hear any differnence between a basswood and mahogany body. But Great Job Ibanez for this axe^^
Well I do play guitar and my style is more Progressive. Jesse is decent. I have listened to Emmure from friends and listened to all the albums. He is good in a way moderate way, but he doesn't seem to want to break boundaries a bit. I am not better than him, and I don't think either. Every player has something to give. Jesse definitely has the potential, just its not getting honed or lacks something. Emmure is not my cup of tea, but I would never exclude them from the metal.
Ibanez had Emmure's guitarist demo a guitar that seems to be built for shredding? That carve on the back of the lower horn isn't so you can play dissonant chords all over the fretboard. It's so you can do larger sweeps and scale runs without your hand bumping into the horn when you reach for the low strings. Anyone that owns an RG7 knows this. Plus he didn't even touch the Edge Zero 7, which is in my opinion what makes this guitar worth buying in the first place. Way to disappoint, Ibanez.
i would never bash ANY band and i wasnt the fact of the matter is that in the music industry you dont need any talent whatsoever to make it big im not saying these guys dont have talent and im not saying i dont respect them as musicians i actually saw emmure live in chicago awhile back and despite wether or not i am fond of their genre of music i can respect their musicianship but i made an observation that the specific playing in this video is bad maybe u dont agree but thats your right
Forreal.... stop hatin' on Emmure..... they have a style that isnt like any other deathcore bands.... and btw fucking Metallica is as generic as it comes.... 90 percent of their songs sound the same... so take your hatin' bullshit somewhere else
they put on the best and worst show ever. best cuz the music was heavy and the pits were insane. worst cuz between songs they played ghetto ass rap shit. and he wasnt playing the rgd either. he had an LACS with only a 12th fret inlay, reversed headstock etc.
I just think this bridge isn't as good as the originals, lo pros and pros. There are alot of others out there wh don't like the EZ but then there's some who like it. I'm not saying it's a bad trem but it's just not for me
1:20 and onwards, are you kidding me? Not to sound arrogant and ignorant AND like a douchebag, but i think my demo of such a guitar would be a little more interesting..and i`ve only played for 2+ years..
yea accept the edge zero isnt that great. NEVER goes out of tune but thats about it i dont know i guess im old fasioned with my edge low-pro i havent really experimented with the zero
they make marketable music and obviously someone at victory thought so with emmure and he was right because they're one of their biggest artists hating on a band because they're demonstrating a guitar is so lame it just screams jealousy
no i agree with you some bands that are crap do get labels and i don't understand it either i saw them with my girlfriend awhile back and even though i personally am not a huge fan they're quite good live
I would rather be guy that writes riffs and songs a mass amount of people love to hear then be the 100 times over be an amazing epic guitarist that can't seem to be original. 100 times over Melodic will beat technical any day every time.
@newnangolf09 Nothing against emmure, I'm really a big fan...but...More emmure songs all sound like each other than Metallica. Metallica's sound actually changes record to record. And without Metallica, there wouldn't be a lot of the great metal we now have today. You don't have to like them and I doubt i've changed your mind on what you said, but they do have millions and millions of dollars because of what they do. I'm sure you will never be that successful.
dudes the chillest guy ever!! i didnt have a ticket to go watch the all stars tour and he let me in and got me back stage shit was awesome he recommended that i buy this guitar and i agree shit sounded amazing.
hows the 2228? i heard mixed reviews. most common ive heard is that its only in the prestige line is because its the only 8 string thats not a custom or signature they say its got kinda low end parts and i think its made in korea could be jananese idk but what do you think of it?
Firstly, that's only your opinion and secondly, if they really were the worst then how can they still have so many fans, churn out records and feature in videos such as this demonstrating quality instruments?
朝田浜はあ果たさたらた I personally think the original edge is the best, but never played a pro (and I'm pissed that they discontinued them because I always wanted to try it because I heard they're phenominal trems) And I don't think that switch would be possible since the zero resistance system has a weird ass trem cavity.
I don't think I want to. If those fucking horrible first-time-playing-guitar sounding chords represent his work then I'm staying the fuck away from that stuff.
@XxNevermind1232xX He's talking about the wood that remains from the part of the guitar that was cutaway. Look at videos of Paul Gilbert talking about his Fireman, he explains that the Fireman balances well because of it's extended upper horn.
I kinda agree. I like the sounds of the riffs. I love all the little noises and sounds he makes with the guitar. It just doesn't seem to evolve past that. Doesn't really grow as a sound and stagnates. Bit of a shame really. Would love to hear them expand a little.
@proggod876 when the RGD2120 is presented, the song is called "False love in real life" , when the album is presented the title track: "Felony" can be heared
Oh god, the part where he displayed the benefits of the toggle-switch to go into lead without problems was so horribly embarrassing that it even hurt me.
Yes I know they have the Edge Zero on them. I was saying I think they'd be cooler if they had an Original Edge/Lo-Pro or Edge Pro because I'm not a fan of the Edge Zero.
I watched this video 10 years ago, I can finally buy my first RGD!
I've watched this video so many times lol
he looks like someone you'd get in a fight with at Buffalo Wild Wings
The Music style he may play may be simple. BUT BELIVE ME it made the deathcore scene what it is today....
Finally, someone who understands.
Not really....Acacia Strain, Between the Buried and Me(sound and member wise), Despised Icon, Job for a Cowboy, and All Shall Perish were all well established bands before Emmure even came out with their first Album
Um whitechapel
All Shall Perish. 2002
lmao
as much as i am not a fan of emure, its refreshing to see a guitar demo which doesnt include a pretentious fret wanker
Dude aint even a bad guitarist tho he plays a specific style and plays it very well
I remember when Petrucci asked for a guitar that will compliment his playing style, sadly he did not get that from Ibanez since they want to go straight RG style.. and now look at the RGD very similar with the EBMM Petrucci model. if only they listened to the guy he probably would be the first to have an RGD.
1:10 When Keeping it Real goes Wrong
Reh ah ah ah ah ah
wow he's so talented
what song is that in the background?
whats the first song
@deathcore1239 i didnt ask that...what song is it?
That song in the beginning what song is that? I mean right when you see the guitar and that "RGD Prestige". I can't find it.
I'm 8 years late but it definitely sounds like a song from their respect issue album
1 Step ... 2 notes (Semitones) meaning A standard so A-D-G-C-F-A-D from low to high
I'd like you guys to first go listen to "Rusted Over Wet Dreams" by Emmure, and then try to tell me all they ever do is chugging.
Heh, I just bought a new Ibanez today. The pickups are terrible as usual but as I said, the guitar feels the best I have ever played.
Remember people, lower tuning and chugging does not equal heaviness.
@proggod876 its just an emmure breakdown dude. theyre ALL the same in ALL their songs
@XXDeathxCore Good for you. (:
@AlexMcshred6505plus Amen to that!
aaaaaaw cute, he's trying to be individual
0:04 - 0:12
Song name, please?
Hi
I know this is 11 years old but False love in real life
@@Nicksrgnt thanks man, finally someone replied
This guitar is so metal that he has to chew gum while he's playing it
what's with all the hate?
@steelangelblack lol im sure they can its not that hard
@Oneofthefallen67 that is a very true statement haha
Lol so many haters. people talk shit but know good and damn well they cant do half the shit he does. Amazing.
I like emmure but I don't think their play style works well with Ibanez quitars. They prefer riff style songs where as in my opinion Ibanez works better with more technically advanced play styles such as animals as leaders meshuggah and TesseracT
I hate basswood also... if it were mahogany i would be ALL over this sexy machine... btw it is a prestige.
MARC OKUBO should replace his position
All Ibanez pick-ups are pretty horrible even though the guitars itself are very good.
2:17
lmao imagine being this guy
Lmfaoo
Guitar looks awesome, but they hired the shittiest guitar player to demo it.
Good guitar if you want deathcore I guess but emmure sucksssss and all deathcore
what a terrible player lol
The comment section on here makes me sad. Lot of pissed off or flat out assholes shitting on this guy because they don't like his style, Jesus people he's doing what he loves, Lay off, don't see you doing much in comparison.
A bunch of hypocrites here. Hating on a band just because you need to fit in.
Why all the hate? He's not even bad.
If anyone from the original lineup should come back, its Jesse. Him and Josh Travis would make a rad guitar team.
The sound of Emmure was always Frankie & Jesse
I have this rgd2127z. Amazing guitar!
The awkward moment when you can't tell if it's an emmure tab or binary code.
Why is everyone asking what the song is? Just listen to any given song by Emmure/Suicide Silence/Born of Osiris/Asking Alexandria/Attack Attack!/All Shall Perish/Impending Doom/any other given deathcore band and you'll get the same exact thing!
wrong.
I think that was the worst demo I've ever seen.
I didnt know he used guitars with more than one string
Dude can play other stuff than the simple riffs. Nobody hates on kurt cobain and other "legends" who play simple riffs
@@BookieBrewster Right?? Unlike Kurt Cobain, at least this guy had some damn gratitude for his fans and success.
I love the basswood body, it gives the RG this awesome sound for sherdding and riffing.

@mrdirtyyellow have you even listened to goodbye to the gallows? obviously not. so stuff it.
1:20 and onwards, are you kidding me?

to the guys who wrote or will be writing long statements, let me introduce u to my friend. here is FULLSTOP @ DOT
of course, you dont need the cutaways if the majority of your songs ony use the first 4 frets
Not saying anything about his talent, but i don`t think he`s a versatile player..his demonstration was boring as a fly.
@aperfecttool257 with the same shitty parts. its the same guitar but with some new curves
you know who else has record deals... lil wayne... lady gaga... ke$ha... nickelback...
Essa guitar e foda, já ta na minha lista de desejos agora e so juntar a grana e dividir o resto em 12X...
Say what you will, but what's you're income? What Jesse's income? exactly.
@distortion4ever not
i like emmure but hes not that good of a guitarist
emmure. hahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha.
emmure false love in real life
whats the song in the beginig
@proggod876 you're welcome
false love in real life
I love this guitar but man this guy's idea of good sounding music / playing is not exactly the same as mine.
+surgeyX diversity is a nice thing
holy shit. so bad.
What an awful band.
Jesse James
easy, killer.
You could at least give it a decent listen? I recommend the Goodbye to the Gallows album for first time listeners.
they make marketable music and obviously someone at victory thought so with emmure and he was right because they're one of their biggest artists hating on a band because they're demonstrating a guitar is so lame it just screams jealousy
Number3
i love mine I have an RGD7421 it doesnt have a Floyd Rose on it mine has a fixed bridge
no i agree with you some bands that are crap do get labels and i don't understand it either i saw them with my girlfriend awhile back and even though i personally am not a huge fan they're quite good live
This is the guy that made Emmure’s style bland af up until he ditched the band
I would rather be guy that writes riffs and songs a mass amount of people love to hear then be the 100 times over be an amazing epic guitarist that can't seem to be original. 100 times over Melodic will beat technical any day every time.
Ahaha there's no technical here

the point is to know if the guitar delivers, but i guess with a prestige model you cant go wrong
Richie Allan should be here instead!
dudes the chillest guy ever!! i didnt have a ticket to go watch the all stars tour and he let me in and got me back stage shit was awesome he recommended that i buy this guitar and i agree shit sounded amazing.

Firstly, that's only your opinion and secondly, if they really were the worst then how can they still have so many fans, churn out records and feature in videos such as this demonstrating quality instruments?
朝田浜はあ果たさたらた
I personally think the original edge is the best, but never played a pro (and I'm pissed that they discontinued them because I always wanted to try it because I heard they're phenominal trems)

Nice features I HATE the Basswood body, mahogany would have been a better choice.
Hope there will be a Prestige verision.

@xwarlockx69 metallica > emmure. it doesn't take much to be more "musically expressive" and "technical" than emmure
@proggod876 when the RGD2120 is presented, the song is called "False love in real life" , when the album is presented the title track: "Felony" can be heared
that looks amazing :O
i hope it's not made of basswood...

Why do you need to comment on everyone's post on this page? You have issues dude. That or you just have too much free time. Get help.
chicago's finest is an incredibly awesome song, all other emmure songs that ive heard are just chugging and all of that pointless stuff
Yes I know they have the Edge Zero on them. I was saying I think they'd be cooler if they had an Original Edge/Lo-Pro or Edge Pro because I'm not a fan of the Edge Zero.
Jesse Ketive what a player! He's no joe satch but he's tight as fuck and gets a great sound what more do you need?
