Nice idea ....a different perspective.Anesthesia is definitely a cool branch of medicine.The adrenaline rush that this job gives is unmatched...money n fame may not be excellent....but satisfaction of saving lives and helping out other colleagues is incredible.

They cannot be advancing faster in academic institutions as well
Even in corporate hospital it will be difficult

Sir, i took md anaesthesia in my first attemp in this counseling, I couldn't explain my parents and convince them for my decision, howmuch ever i try, they are not understanding my decision. Asking me to give another attempt and get higher clinical branch. What shld i do sir ?

Anesthesiology. Is very important medical branch sergeon can only perform when you are present patient may not know you but surgeon recognise you. What a cardiac surgeon can do if you are not there foolish doctors think I am great other are least important can a ctvs surgeon can do a small surgery of sn ENT like foreign body removal from ear nose or throat no so every foctor is great in their own field no dearth of doctor in each field in india

I am an anesthetist working in India....I wish my parents or relatives had stopped me from taking Anesthesia.....it's a thankless branch.....u are paid just a fraction of what other branches earn.....only benefit of doing Anesthesia it's relatively easy to migrate to UK, Australia.
Never take Anesthesia if you plan to stay in India or you can't leave India because of family, other reasons.
