it'd not that. BlackMagic wouldn't want to deal with 100 different variation of cameras on android and adjust to all of them lol. they choose one and it's easy to make it great for that one
I'm thinking about getting the Pixel 9 Pro. I think the hardware should be definitely good to shoot in LOG. Actually I bought the Osmo Pocket 3 instead of iPhone 15 to have a small device for filming. I'm super happy with the results because there is no sharpening post processing. Means the image is super soft. Cinematic like. Can your app also adjust the amount of sharpening? I rly would like to decrease the amount of sharpening.
I hope you do the same for the 3X and 5X (vs 15 Pro Max) lenses as well. cuz doing comparisons between main sensors while you have 2 or 3 more is not enough these days!
In 5 or 10 years we know phone cam will be even better so better results with motioncam, the quality will keep getting better with the app since cams in phone will keep upgrading

those are great results and while I have s23ultra, on those examples iPhone looks slightly better. Samsung has some kind of weird rainbow effect on those close ups, and the edges have more artifacts. still great footage
u know iphone log sharpens the shit right ? for 4k 60fps only xiaomi 14 ultra can record for higher times. i am sure next snapdragon chip can be capable to record 4k 60fps for much longer
@@AttilaBakosArt Because is a 10bit file and used the HW encoder which need to be set either PQ or HLG, and our transfer curve is much closer to HLG. (more info on Discord)

I suspect Apple has paid good money to BlackMagic to make the app ios exclusive. I dont care though, because i have motioncam pro. Big game changer!

Blackmagic announced the App for Android already.
@@christianhaas9396 cool
Dumb comment. Blackmagic has an Android version ready to go. Do folks on the internet actually believe the shit they type?
@@christianhaas9396 source?
Honestly they look identical to me, with the motioncam pro obviously being a bit sharper but in practice both phones are insane
also it seems to me that the iphone footage is softer but also s24 is more noisy with colors, or they might be aberrations bc of the lens.
@@jeremysanchez8118 they look like debayer issues
I'm surprised the iPhone could keep up honestly

MotionCam process the data from RAW stream, so there is no sharpening :-)

We wanted to to this, but lenses did not match FOV, so wasn't a fair VS to be done, maybe in the future
Details details, bravo.

Brasov is really nice. Even bears are there :). To me Motioncam is sharper so little bit more detailed picture.
Wish this app would come to IOS
both great with HEVC 10 Bit
awesome!!!!! would be better if can shoot hdr video like the demo directly 😊
The application is quite good, but the price is incredibly high in a country like Türkiye. Will there be any change in this regard?

Thats called moire effect. Its a artifacts when you use high megapixel sensor..
Quad bayer doesn't suffer from this.
Extraordinary application. I have only one question, is the unlimited lifetime license once I buy the pro version?
Hello, yes this license is bound to your gmail account. Thank you
I wonder, what was the recording bitrates for the Samsung and iPhone
unfortunately on Blackmagic Camera you cannot set bitrate on HEVC, and on MC used max allowed encoding bitrate 160mb/s
...what about frame drooping? For iPhone 15pro 4k 60fps in LOG it 's no big deal... What about S24 and other Android devices?

@@MotionCam Thanks, I'm wondering why does the mcrawLOG have HLG metadata, can you tell the reasons for that?

Wow! Motioncam has a lot of detail!
Bro the difference is shockingly low , it's just that motion cam is slightly sharper and more color-accurate / I like the colors better . Worth it!
Without zooming in - they look alike, however it's the iPhone that has a stabilization. The still footage obviously won't show that.
This comparison aims to showcase both devices with identical scenes at maximum quality mode. When EIS is enabled, output quality decreases
What is the file size on s24 ultra? For 5 min full quality video? Do you recorded on ssd?
