Motioncam changed my life. I basically stopped caring so much buying new cameras and I basically use my phone for everything at work.
Can you edit the footage with phone based editing apps like CapCut
@sidneyani2584 good question. It honestly depends. Forgive my ignorance as I'm still new to this but currently I'm using mcpro24fps to shoot footage. When importing to capcut, it compresses the footage. Even though the footage looks great (especially of u shoot at a higher bitrate), it'll take the quality from 4032x3024 to 2880x something.. so while it looks great there's still alot of heavy compression. I'd assume it'd treat raw footage the same
I’m glad you’ve made this video, I’ve been championing motioncam since it’s release and the more attention it gets the better
I can't believe I wasn't aware of it sooner. An absolute game changer, especially for those who know how to utilize raw video
@@ShibiChan Honestly. The addition of ProRes to the App as well is great, though I’ll always prefer Raw DNG for the higher quality despite the headache it is to use.
Nah man now we need you to shoot a cinematic video on the Vivo in ProRes and show the Apple guys we have great video on Android too.
I can try! Lol
I will definitely buy this app, thanks for being super clear & easy to understand how the motion cam pro works 👌
Devs have been great lately as well, tons of new updates even since this video
@@ShibiChan More motioncam pro videos please 🙏
I hope the new Blackmagic camera app for Android(set to release soon) offers log/raw video capabilities, because that will be a game changer
I didn't even know that was coming, I'll look out for it
im waiting too
Great video, more and more people are discovering this incredible app.
Great video 🙌🏻
Amazing! Good content with good quality!
Thanks for watching!
Good video. Ive been using the app for some time. Small tip- Don't forget to lock exposure when taking video. Exposure jumps too often even during constant light conditions and its visible on the video as well.
Is there any chance that they’ll update the app to include ois for vivo x100 pro?
Which version are you using? Where do you download it? The version I was using when I finished the recording was too heavy. I see your record is very light in size ^^
On the download page in the app store, you can opt into being a beta tester, and that's what I recommend.
It depends on the shooting mode and device that you're using! HEVC 8-bit with a lower bit rate is going to be the easiest for devices to handle
Nice!
Is this program solve the Android problem with shifting esposure, even with lock exposure in pro mode(in most phones)?
I think the best way to avoid that is using your device's "pro mode" and setting shutter speed and iso manually!
Thank you for the tour. I'm wondering if you can go beyond 30 fps and shoot in 60fps as well?
Some devices can! Which is absolutely crazy to think about
@@ShibiChan yeah I've heard that. So what about your X100 pro. Can it do 60fps?
@@hamidrastin5895 30fps max for me
Bravo. You are a professional. Good afternoon, I am also a photographer. Say please? Which is better for photos and videos: SONY XPERIA PRO-I or SONY XPERIA 1V, 5V, please advise which one to take? Thank you very much in advance!
If those are your only 3 options I'd choose the 5V personally
@@ShibiChan Thank you very much!
Android 15 will allow 3rd party apps acess all camera features via camera2!
Add to that, Blackmagic will release an app for Android.
I tried the app on the sony Xperia 1 mark 4. It mostly crashes when try to snap a pic. Can this app take bracketed photos of different exposures and merde them into one HDR or its just about raw and prores video?
I think Xperia tend to face more issues than most other devices, thanks to a lot of issues on Sony's end, sadly. It doesn't have a built-in bracketing mode or HDR merge mode either. I would think Sony would natively have this in its "pro" apps, however it doesn't either
@@ShibiChan They first need to figure how to make a decent flash light. The one added is simply a joke...oh well. Thanks for the answer
I’m still hoping for filmic duo on android.
What is filmic duo?
@@ShibiChan it’s basically an app that can let you record video using multiple lens at the same time but the apps only available on IOS.
@K.B.H-ve8wg it is available on Samsung phones .
Hey, Longtime MotionCam user here, you can turn your DNGs into Blackmagic DNGs.
Oh really? Is that native within the app or a separate process?
@@ShibiChan I can tell you the whole process if you want in your discord.
@@hexagonal707 For sure feel free to drop a message
nice app but hope vivo releases hrd video mode or log in the app no liking to pay jajaja
Have used the app before but I find videography pro in the Pro-i much better but maybe it because I'm used to it
I think in the case of Sony Xperia, you're better off sticking with the native apps. Things like eye tracking aren't supported.
The biggest caveat being that Sony embeds vignette correction in their raws, so if you're doing things like astro, MotionCam may be a better option
