Honestly, instead of dice rolling to solve a riddle, they should have actual PUZZLES for the clues and monsters. That way, it will ACTUALLY feel like a Board Game of Escape the Night, an Elimination + ESCAPE ROOM-esque show.
What happens if you don’t defeat the monster first try, and don’t have a relic? Do you still try again next time it’s your turn, or do you move on to your next character? I was wondering because if you keep not defeating it than your the only one left and the only one rolling the ie and that doesn’t seem right.
You stay on that tile until it is defeated but the tile within the room will not allow other players to leave until its defeated/solved. For example, if Joey landed on a tile in the dining room. They roll their dice and if Joey didn't defeat that tile, they're stuck their until they could defeat it. Imagine Andrea entering the room. She can land on any tile in the dining room/do their dice roll > defeat/solve the card, but they cannot leave the room until Joey defeats the tile. It is mentioned the rulebook!
@@JosinDroplet thank you but I was wondering whether I try again as that character that summoned the monster each turn until I get the number? Is that right? It just didn’t seem right bc if I keep failing and everyone else succeed on their turns I have more characters that are unexhausted since I’v been stuck on my first one. which means that they will finish their turns before mine meaning I’m the only one rolling until I get the number I need.
@@RihannahH This is how I see it... this is an example that might help you Round 1: The Hustler could not defeat the tile, so they're stuck there. Along with everyone else doing their own turns. Voting and challenge happens. Round is moved to second round. Round 2: Even with the help of other players clearing the tiles in the room, The Hustler is stuck and, they cannot leave the room until The Hustler had done their job. If The Hustler has not defeat the tile. They must wait until the next round. *You get the picture... There is a 20 to 35% chance that you'll get lucky enough to stumble upon a relic card/another player swapping their places with you. BUT if you're playing by yourself, that is your decision. Now if The Hustler were THAT unfortunate to not be able to defeat the tile, they will be remain until they can defeat their tile.. which is just how it goes. If you die, that tile is faced up to show that it is either a monster/clue tile. Then, other players can land on it and try to do it. Which would be an unfortunate play for The Hustler. I see a number of ways The Hustler could die out of all of this. 1.) The Hustler is voted in a challenge. Even if she won, she is still not safe. Depending on where she is at the map, if the other players are aware that The Hustler did not do her job every round, you'll be chosen to die just like that. 2.) I recall a rule where if you don't defeat the tile after a certain amount of rounds, the mystery man has the chance to kill you instantly by a roaming monster that is drawn from the deck by another player. 3.) There is a few cards in the deck where you would die if you don't defeat it after a certain amount of turns/dice rolls! Hope this helps! Even if my explanation by a little unclear or was too long.
@@JosinDroplet ok I think I get it so within one round, if the hustler does not to defeat the monster, than next time it’s my turn to roll I would move to my next character, for example the savant, bc she is now exhausted. The hustler is stuck there til next round after the death challenge, and can try again in round 2.

That would be great! But Adam (Director of ETN) mentioned that it'll be tedious to players :/
instead we got boring rolls lol
Lol, I played the game twice without realizing I had to clear every sae tile in the room before getting the relic, and I still lost both times.
It wasn’t the relic it was the Artifact. That’s probably why you lost🤣🤣🤣
Got the game today!!! I’m so excited!!!
Is the game fun?

In simplest terms...
There are 11 Players and Each have a Special Advantage
Relic Cards are Basically ways to Spice up the Game
There are a total of 10 Rounds
The Mysterious Man/Arthur is Summoned when an Artifact is Collected
Once All SAE Tiles are Cleared in a room, the artifact can be collected
Clues and Monster Cards have different difficulty levels
After everyone's turn, players vote on 2 who will enter a deadly challenge
The 2 voted in, roll dice and a death happens
If a player fails to solve a clue, in their next turn, they can just leave the tile
If a player fails to defeat a monster, they're stuck there til it is defeated
