Please consider people with poor hearing when using background music. Is it really necessary? If this guy was giving a public lecture would he have shout over the music?

This is a fantastic resource! Robinson's biography of SP is still the best on the market - thanks for sharing, BSO!

The composer of great works like the Classical and 5th symphonies, Romeo & Juliet and Cinderella, Lieutenant Kije and Alexander Nevsky, The Love For Three Oranges and War and Peace, the 3rd Piano Concerto, the two concertos for violin, the 'war sonatas', Peter and The Wolf and Ivan The Terrible, had no need to feel eclipsed by any other 20th century composer.

This is great! Sounds a bit like Tchaikovsky's story.

I found Prokofiev’s music chosen as background to this presentation, highly distracting. There are so many more better options for background. Or perhaps better, Nothing.

People with some hearing lost find it difficult to hear the words with background music.
