    I am a Nigerian who is crazy about soccer. And,my two favorite African teams are the Super Eagles and the Black Stars......... regardless of how unpredictable these teams can be sometimes. I wanna say here that I've always enjoyed your analysis...... you doing a great job. If Mali's performance at the last Afcon is a measure of how good Chelle is........then I think Nigerians should be glad to have a coach of his caliber. Sometimes a Diamond could be " in the raw", and gets mistaken for some cheap stone. I believe Chelle is a Diamond.......one whose time has come to shine bright. It'll be nice to see him lead Nigeria to the World cup. He looks like a humble, confident gentleman too. Plenty love to my African brothers and sisters ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.

    Bro thank you for your insight. But I am a Nigerian and banter aside. Ghana has not always been this bad. Ghana is among the 4 Africans that has reached the quarter finals of the world cup, Won 4 afcon, etc. The problem of Ghana football started when they appointed a coach who doesn't speak English to coach a country that speaks English. They need a quality coach to revert that, someone who can look inwards and select new players to compete with these over bloated foreign based ones.

  • @paulodu7955
    @paulodu7955 День тому

    No doubt, he can get it done. He is an African coach, and all the teams playing in the World Cup qualifiers are all African teams. He understands the African system of play and particularly the African teams. Most white or foreign coaches lack essential knowledge about African football. When they come in, it takes them one or two years to begin to make any impact on their job. Bringing a white coach in now, is like bringing some foreign born players into the national team. Take a players like Lookman and Bassey for example. When they joined the Super Eagles, they struggled to jell with the older players, to the extent that people were questioning why they brought such players into the team. But after playing with the team for some reasonable period, they are able to blend their European style with African football. Today, Lookman is the best player in Africa. The time is too short for the NFF to bring in a white coach considering the fact that, it is African qualifiers that are at stake. Chelle is a very good choice at this stage, if Nigeria wants to qualify and go to the next World Cup.

    All the best to Eric Chelle,but Naija wont qualify for the world cup. Eric is only a trainer and not a magician. If he can help Naija win the next Afcon,that's good enough.
    Furthermore,NFF shouldn't interfere in his callups and selections,if they want him to succeed.Federal character must be done away with. If any ethnic group has 11 first team players that can deliver,let the rest sit on the bench in peace,and let the best win us the trophies. Period.
    Nice analysis Oga Charley,my brada. 😂

    You don't know the tribal shenanigans going on in Nigeria. Emmanuel Amunike is supposed to be the next Super Eagles coach after Eguavon. But just like Nigeria's Presidency, the anti-Igbo forces in Nigeria will rather see any less competent person from anywhere, even a camel to lead Nigeria than see an Igbo person lead Nigeria to glory. It is a shame. If they don't want Amunike, then appoint someone with better credentials. The tribal humdrum in Nigeria is shameful 😀

      Bro, let's be objective. What has Amunike done in the past years until he just did the right thing by taking up coaching Heartland in the local league? Sentiments aside pls. If he does well with the current job, he will surely stand a chance in the future

      Amunike should have been given.
      He was supposed to have given when they favoured Finidi. Unfortunately, we know how it ended.
      Amunike gave Osimhen the opportunity to become the star we all know today.
      Osimhen would respect an Amunike more than Eric.
      NFF effed up big time.
