first thank you for your analysis, I have come to realise that Nigeria do well whenever a coach with low profile is appointed. but I expected NFF to give a Nigerian coach a chance this time, let pray, hope and support the coach. Secondly, buy a new pen this is 2025
Bro thank you for your insight. But I am a Nigerian and banter aside. Ghana has not always been this bad. Ghana is among the 4 Africans that has reached the quarter finals of the world cup, Won 4 afcon, etc. The problem of Ghana football started when they appointed a coach who doesn't speak English to coach a country that speaks English. They need a quality coach to revert that, someone who can look inwards and select new players to compete with these over bloated foreign based ones.
The pressure and NFF effect on indigenous coaches are enormous…..anybody outside Nigeria is fine for me…let him coach and I wish him the best…I just hope they won’t have to pour him more waters as super eagles manager..

No doubt, he can get it done. He is an African coach, and all the teams playing in the World Cup qualifiers are all African teams. He understands the African system of play and particularly the African teams. Most white or foreign coaches lack essential knowledge about African football. When they come in, it takes them one or two years to begin to make any impact on their job. Bringing a white coach in now, is like bringing some foreign born players into the national team. Take a players like Lookman and Bassey for example. When they joined the Super Eagles, they struggled to jell with the older players, to the extent that people were questioning why they brought such players into the team. But after playing with the team for some reasonable period, they are able to blend their European style with African football. Today, Lookman is the best player in Africa. The time is too short for the NFF to bring in a white coach considering the fact that, it is African qualifiers that are at stake. Chelle is a very good choice at this stage, if Nigeria wants to qualify and go to the next World Cup.
His appointment is a waste of money. It is a pity that Nigeria cannot trust its own indigenous coaches. I believe that Nigeria has enough ex-international players to use as coaches. They only need support and patience to make it.
