Embarkation Day on P&O Arvia | Caribbean Fly Cruise 2024

- Hi everyone!
Today is the start of a brand new vlog series, this time we are on a fly and cruise in the Caribbean. We flew with Maleth Aero from Manchester to meet P&O's newest ship to the fleet, Arvia in Barbados.
Our travel day started smoothly, easy check in and the flight was on time. If you want to see more about our experience with Maleth Aero the link to the video is -

We arrived in sunny Barbados and had a 45 minute bus journey to the port, we enjoyed seeing the views as we drove by. We were Greeted by Arvia and were again taken aback by the sheer size of the ship! We completed our muster, checked out our cabin and then decided to explore the ship while we waited for our cases. We started with some food from The Quays, we were both really impressed. I had the fish, chips and curry sauce from Hook, Line and Vinegar and Dane had the Katsu Curry from Fusion. Both of these options were delicious! We were excited to try The Roast next time. We also got a dessert to finish off the meal.
We then thought it was about time we started getting use out of our drinks package so we had a wander through the Clubhouse and went outside to get our first drink from the Sunset bar. I tried the pina colada and Dane had the Tidal Rum which they make on board the ship. We had a great seat with a great view and we enjoyed sitting here for a while.
We then thought we should see a bit more of the ship so went inside and found Brodie's. We had the vanilla and salted caramel espresso martini to help us stay awake as the jetlag was creeping up after the 9 hour flight this morning. We then thought we would see on the off chance if our cases had arrived and to our delight they had so we could unpack and get ready for the evening festivities.
We started with a glass of Boom Boom at the Glass House, we really liked this setting. Dane knocked his drink over here though haha and the server heroically stopped it from dripping onto the deck below! That could have been a disaster! We moved table and stayed here for another drink as we really liked this bar.
We found the giant Arvia deck chair so had some photos which were ever so flattering but had to be done haha we then stayed in the Sky Dome and watched the show called X. It was a really odd, weird, crazy 30 minutes but we are glad we watched it!
We then decided to have a nightcap at the Crows Nest, we found it really difficult to find on the first night but later into the cruise we realised for some venues you needed to make sure to get a lift at a particular part of the ship. We loved the feel of the Crow's Nest with the piano playing and really good drinks! We finished the night with some late night buffet because we hadn't eaten since The Quays that afternoon and we were really happy with the selection!
We really enjoyed our first day on board #pandocruises Arvia and were excited to explore more the next day which was a sea day. We still couldn't believe we were in the #Caribbean it was amazing! We can't wait to share more of the #cruisevlogs with you!

Awesome!! Another cruise! Lost in cabin land, Lol. I agree, I’d like one of everything at The Quays. Those desserts look tasty! Yummy….. a Pina Colada. I’d like to try the drink Dane got. I love any drink with espresso in it…. Beer, martini, etc. That’s a big chair!! Glad you’ll found the Crows Nest…. Looks like a very chill/relaxing bar. Thank you for taking us along today. We were so lost for a lot of the day but it doesn’t take much to confuse us haha 🤣 it really was a great first day we really enjoyed wandering around seeing what was on offer. Thanks for watching hope you’re having a great weekend so far 💙✨
We have never done a cruise before, but that is definitely our food and drink taste. And swivel chairs 😂

One Great thing about Cruising is Definitely all the dining! Well, for us it is! Lol

That first day onboard when you have no idea where anything is funny.
The Quays is such a great place to grab and go rather than going to the buffet.
The show looked weird but I lot of fun. Great start to this series 👍

We need to add Arvia’s deck chair to our collection even though it’s always a real effort to get in and out of them! 😂 We loved the Crows Nest on the othe P&O ships, such a nice place to drink and relax. Looking forward to the next instalment 😊

The ship looks beautiful! I imagine it takes a few days to get your bearings and figure out where things are on the ship. The food at the Queys looked delicious. I’m glad you found the Crows Nest but it did look tucked away and hard to find. Looking forward to seeing all the adventures on your 2nd cruise!! 🚢 😊

How was flight on Malteo ? Mine was horrible very narrow aisles.
Just got back from my cruise last week 😢.
I enjoyed visiting the islands favourite places were St Lucia and Martinque but I wouldn’t travel with P&O again.

Our flight was perfectly fine, found the seats a bit narrow to be honest but the rest of it was fine.
It was our first time in the Caribbean, stand out for us was Tortola it was beautiful. We'll be going back, it could be with P&O for us as it's value for money but doesn't necessarily have to be, maybe Marella next!

You should have kept the original closing shot in -one for the outtakes maybe.... Not quite Hairspray was it - the entertainment! Very nice furniture around the ship, funny watching you both sink into the giant deckchair... and always good to see you get the best value out of the drinks packages!

Hi guys. Loved the vlog first time watching you. Love the name of the channel👍 no doubt you will be heading to epic universe next year. Loved the content from people so young. Big plus for me was the cross reference to symphony of the seas - Oasis is our favourite ship and we love a night or two in the Schooner bar. It seems a shame that the crows nest does not have a singing pianist 😢.
What time does the entertainment end around the ship please also what time does Costa coffee (vista) close?
Hi there! Thanks so much always fun when people understand the name and yes can’t wait for Epic Universe it’s so exciting! I agree crows nest was a lot more chilled and also wish there was singing it would have definitely added. I’ve just found a Horizon magazine I’d brought back and it said vistas was open 7am till 11pm but only till 5pm for food. Most entertainment was on till half 11/ midnight and a couple later bits in the club house and 710 Club on certain nights. Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely comment! Ooof those espresso martinis looked beautiful. They are my favourite drinks! Yey swivelly chairs haha, they are always fun. Looks like such a nice ship. One day I'll be able to go on a cruise. Omg imagine if the wine had gone onto someone below! Haha getting into the deck chair was so funny.That X show looked a bit bonkers. Great vlog both xx

Oo you lucky things - well maybe not Maleth, but the cruise!!! We've not been the Caribbean for years - very jealous! It s similar to Iona, but we can see differences. We loved the keys. We enjoyed wandering the ship with you and relaxing at the sunset bar. Oh wow, does the skydome open up on Arvia? Looks like you had a fun time 🍻

I'd say maybe go and see if you can get a quote on their website, it can change depending on a bunch of different factors so not all priced equally 👍
