Just found this series and I love it! Jimmy and Mr Saltwater are like a modern Abbot and Costello. Great chemistry and funny as hell! Gonna pop some popcorn and binge watch this adventure. Has me excited to get back into trying a saltwater reef!
Just got my Waterbox Infinia Frag 175 delivered by freight. Tried my best to arrange for white glove delivery into my living room, was willing to pay, but no-go since they went through intermediaries between Waterbox and shipping company and ultimately delivered by Ryder truck. Delivery dude was kind enough to pallet-jack it up my driveway into my garage but he said they had a no-stairs policy. Gave him a nice tip. No joke - the boxes then sat in my garage for a month. Needed professional movers to carry glass tank up to living room. But hiccup was I needed to assemble cabinet first so movers could lift glass tank onto cabinet. And before that, had to wait until my brother and his friend could carry up the cabinet boxes for me. A long round-about process. But it's finally FINALLY in my living room! Next step - installing plumbing and leak tests!
Love the excitement. Having Mr. Saltwater helping you is fantastic and fantastic for us to learn from you and him. I am about 3 months ahead of you on this journey, or we could be at the same stage with video editing ;) But I got a 225 71x25x26 ish tank, and already wish I would of went bigger. So you are RIGHT, GO BIG OR GO HOME. One thing I did was make a mock up of the tank with PVC pipes and start thinking about the scape and to help build it while waiting on the tank to be delivered. Looking forward to seeing you on this journey into the deep blue.
I am looking at my first reef tank and as Jimmy I thing go big or go home! I have beed searching for used also that will save $$, but then I consider the risk of taking someone else's problems! I am use to looking at my son's 90 gal RS. Believe I would prefer a sump over all in one, because I am thinking filtration is larger and expandable. I have to look at pro clear as an option, maybe I should do my build as I follow this series! Thanks
Marc enjoying the series but also would like to see you spend some time filming your tank and habits with that monster system you've got....looks chock full of awesome fish etc

Red room must be working out well for Jimmy! First tank 150g+! 🤣
Any considerations for strength of the floor? If not on a slab foundation what to look for in your crawlspace?
First?
You got it
