How does the Kemper know what new files to import? Or do you have to clean the USB stick every time? Or does the Kemper know what is already on the unit and only imports new profiles?
Hello, just a question about downloading new profiles. I just purchased a profile pack but I can’t get them to work. I’m pretty new to kemper (had for 2 months) but I have purchased and successfully loaded other packs and I didn’t encounter any problems. I did the same process as I did in the past but I’m not finding the new profiles when I browse for them. I do not use rig manager yet, just using the kemper directly. So, I got these new profiles, took the zip file and put the contents into the share file on the formatted flash drive (same flash drive I have used with other profiles). It says they were imported but they aren’t there! Even if I view “last imported” the files aren’t showing up. Spent all my jam time last night fiddling with this and got a bit frustrated 😭. I even reformatted that flash drive and added the the profiles again, but when I go to import them into the kemper, the kemper is now telling me they have already been imported and are in my browser menu/pool, but when I look there they just aren't there. I have 703 profiles so it's not full. Would they be located somewhere else because they were called "performance profiles"? I am still quite new to this so i'm sorry for such novice questions. Sorry for the long comment, just looking for any info/advice. Thanks!!
this is so helpful i bought a USB stick with 800 profile amp with my Kemper ... didn't knew so far how to load them .... would you recommand to load themp all at once ?
not really. It's hard to go through that many. If you have a computer / laptop, I'd load them into the Kemper Rig Manager and pick maybe your favorite 100, load those.
The usb stick doesn’t witk all when we try to unload the saved stuff. It used to work. So this was awhile ago and again the other day so I guess it’s us.
Do the rigs you want to load onto the Kemper need to be in their own folder before you copy it to the 'Shared' folder on the stick? Or can they be 'loose' files in the shared folder? Thanks
When I insert my USB stick my Kemper keeps saying it contains no data, even though I feel like I followed these instructions perfectly. Any help? I know this is an old post, so probably not. :(
Make sure it's formatted by the Kemper. Then try backing up sounds from the Kemper. THEN, try putting the ESB stick in the computer and see if it shows data. If it does, then put it back into the Kemper and see if it see data.
It would be nice if you could just run profile off the USB stick directly. Gross oversight. I went to a store to test out a cab and they had a Kemper there, so I just plugged in my USB stick. When I was done, it took forever to delete my profiles off their machine. Total PITA.

When someone buys a profile from a company like tone crate. Do they send you some like a USB or is it by down right away?

Just one question: Why you formatted the kemper? In that case, you put all the kemper's patchs in the USB?
If you format the Kemper, first load all of the patches onto a USB stick. It'll make sure you don't accidentally delete a profile you need.
It would be nice if you could just run profile off the USB stick directly.

Silly question: can I download files into my Galaxy S6 and then upload them to the Kemper, connecting the S6 with the kemper with USB directly?
I don't think so. The Kemper needs the USB stick to be formatted by the Kemper. So, I don't think it will see the profiles on the phone.
