    CORRECTION: I said that I had my cabinet mic'd in the off-axis position, when I actually had it on-axis. I meant off-center!

    This is the best explanation on how to profile that I’ve ever seen. You should do tutorials for a living. Simple and to the point👍🏻👍🏻

    By level, I forgot to mention that on the screen where you choose clean, etc, and then next, there's a level shown that needs to be set. If it's too low, the Kemper doesn't think a reference amp is hooked up.

      ‘To the point’ is a huge plus. This could have been a 30 minute video of rambling and side stories, but brevity won that day.

    I've done this and it sounds great, but how do I load or play it, I can't find the profile in my «Browser» or «Perform» - Section after I stored it, there are still a lot of effects but I just want to perform with my profiled sound :)

    How does it feel when you play that sound on kemper? Does the guitar responds well?

    Great video...but beware others, its not quite so simple in real life.... there are other bits and pieces including setting output levels that aren't mentioned plus the saving is a bit of a nightmare....but other than that, all good 👍

    I appreciate this video. One of the easiest to follow demos I found on UA-cam. I have a stage so the connections are similar but the main difference was the mic cable. I needed an adapter to fit the 1/4” return. Question, I went to Save my profile and it seemed to take the name of another profile on my stage. I went through the naming process and it didn’t take the name I gave it. That said, the profile sounded just like the amp I profiled. So I’m pretty sure it worked. Also my profile was loaded up with effects. I wasn’t expecting that. Did I overwrite another profile??

      You may have. That's quite easy to do when syncing between the profiler and the rig manager.

      I think I found my answers. Btw.

      @MrFreddBoy 2 роки тому +1

      @@TaylorWilliamWright actually on the Stage the process is a little different. I discovered that if you plan on profiling your amp, you need to pull up a similar profile on your Kemper first. Then go into Profile mode and start the process. When you’re done saving, the effects that were in that profile carry over. That’s what I’m gathering. Not much documentation about it so it’s my educated guess. I didn’t use rig manager for my process tonight. Cheers!! PS: I have a Suhr too. Love it.

    Lovely tip, shut off any noise gate you may have in the amp loop. This is for the kemper to get an accurate reading of the amplifier it's profiling! You can add that stuff after. Only thing I keep on in my high gain profiles is the Overdrive(KSR EROS as it sounds better than the OD's the kemper has imo) lots of people make profiles like this. Anyway again bro, best vid I've seen on making a kemper profile! Thank you

    FINALLY a simple tutorial. I have gotten so frustrated trying to watch these in depth videos where I don’t even known WTF we’re doing and they are explaining the bells and whistles before telling me HOW to create a profile. So yes….in answer to your final comment…the helps A LOT!! ❤

  • @Epochstudios

    You didn't steal its soul in this instance if....??if..... you own that freidman and the mesa. You merely copied it lol! Anyway, best video and most straightforward I have seen on making kemper profiles bro 👏

  • @cosmicprison9819
    @cosmicprison9819 2 роки тому +1

    Is it the Kemper itself that makes the process so loud? Or is this just because you turned your amp up? Meaning, in the latter case, it would never get louder than the room volume I've set my amp to? It's hard to tell for me in advance, since the noises are so unusual compared to the volume of your guitar tone before.

    • @TaylorWilliamWright
      @TaylorWilliamWright  2 роки тому +1

      The amp has to be cranked up in order for the Kemper to get a reading of it. It's a loud process.

      @@TaylorWilliamWright Thanks, I thought so! 😉 I‘ve already found someone who created Marshall JVM profiles for each mode in each channel, so I‘d simply use those instead of starting a war with my neighbours 😅.

    One thing you didn't mention was what you had the level on the Kemper set at. I tried profiling for an hour before I finally found someone mention something about the level. It will error every time unless the level is set to a certain db.

      I had the same issue. Frustrating until I found out it was the gain

  • @dougmaxwell8789
    @dougmaxwell8789 Рік тому

    Great demonstration. So basically, the Kemper profiles the amp and speakers without the unique tone of the guitar. So if I plugged an SG with Humbuckers into the profile you made, it won’t sound like a weird Fender single coil hybrid.

  • @brandonrogers8293

    how would you do this for making a profile from a computer plugin? would I put the cord that you normally would plug into input of amp, into the headphone jack of my audio interphase?

    I have a question: Let’s supposed that you made a copy of the amp’s sounds with all tone knobs at 5. Will Kemper know how the amp would sound with the knobs set, say, at 9? Or will it just “guess” how the amp would sound with different settings?

    • @TaylorWilliamWright
      @TaylorWilliamWright  10 місяців тому +2

      It won't react the way the actual amp would. You'd be better off making separate profiles of the different settings.

  • @timburle4980

    Why all the hiss?

    • @TaylorWilliamWright
      @TaylorWilliamWright  3 роки тому +4

      That's the sound of the amp. Generally when you run a high gain head, and the volume is turned up... you're going to have some noise.

    • @Epochstudios
      @Epochstudios 2 роки тому +1

      @@TaylorWilliamWright people forget those details or maybe they don't own a tube amp. When there is no noise gate the the FX loop or in front of the amp you are gna get noise regardless if it's high gain or clean. A clean amp noise won't be as loud as hi gain etc.....
