That scene got me bawling like a baby. I have Lupus and MS. My right eye is blind. My left ear is deaf. My left side refuses to listen to my brain. I live with pain. I've ve been accused of lacking faith. I'm so thankful for that scene. It's ok... his grace is sufficient for me.
@@Grafted He healed them all. All. He never turned anyone away. Matthew 8:16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick... Don't fall for this lie.
At 5:30, I didn't see that as Jesus comparing. He was making a little joke. Out of compassion, to lighten the moment and to get a little smile out of James to lighten the load, he was simply joking. What a beautifully acted scene that the James actor was easily able to portray that he got it and could take some ribbing for the sake of compassionate levity. They did an amazing job of this difficult scene.
I got to watch this in real life. In my dad's final years he was in and out of the hospital fairly frequently. A broken ankle that was never set straight and healed crooked. But that didn't cause problems. He had donated a kidney before l was born so he was left with one. A torn diaphragm that caused him to be on O2. And Type 2 diabetes. Two or three times he went in for dialysis because his remaining kidney wasn't working so well. After a couple days he would be out on his merry way. "You have the kidney of a 20 year old, l can't explain it" his doctor said the first time. Well dad praised the Lord Jesus to anyone and everyone within earshot. I know he lead a few of the nurses and others to faith in his visits. These visits happened over a 5- 7 year period. When he passed it was not a sad occasion. We all KNEW where dad was. And he was while and healthy and with our Lord and Savior! What a gift.
I’m discouraged and broken hearted. Please pray for me and my children that’s ALL I NEED AND WANT. I get harassed for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers. I want to give up on my life. But God won’t let me. As a single mother I’m so overwhelmed at times because both of my children are autistic. I’m desperately struggling trying to support them and myself my husband passed years ago I lost my job as a social worker at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I declined because of my pre existing health condition lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption. I wish I could go back to the hospital but the mandate is still in place for hospitals that participate in Medicare and Medicaid all employees must be vaccinated against covid 19. I’m waitressing and I’m so 🙏🏾THANKFUL to be working again, but I’m not making nearly enough to make ends meet. But even as I struggle every month, and even though I’m ashamed because of my situation and ashamed from all the harassment. Compassion is Jesus’s way. I have faith that God will provide. Please pray for me and my children. THATS ALL I want. GOD BLESS!😊 Prayers do work.
Oh my goodness I pray that God blesses you and your family. I pray you get your job back . I pray for you and your children that God blesses all of you of the things you need. God bless you all Amen 🙏🏽❤
I'm so sorry! My first four are autistic, so even though I have a partner, I completely understand how difficult it is to deal with that and then everything else on top of it. They are such special spirits, but so many people don't understand. I am praying for you! I love you sister!
The best part of the conversation, “You will be healed.” You will be free. You will have peace. It’s not “if,” but “when.” When we enter his kingdom, we’ll be complete.
This part really got to me. I’ve dealt with migraines since a pre-teen and I’m well into my 40s now. I e said many prayers for healing and thought it’s something I didn’t do or lack faith. When those thoughts come in my head, I try to remember Paul where he said His grace is sufficient. Then I think of all the others who are other ailments that are worse. God has a plan for everything and I’m not going to question why I still go through my pain. His grace IS sufficient and this is a reminder of that fact. Our pain or ailments doesn’t hinder God to use us. We hinder ourselves when we focus on what He hasn’t healed us from.
I’m the same! Chronic migraines since 8 years old and I am now 47, suffering with many other chronic debilitating conditions. God is good and HIS Grace is sufficient! Praise HIM . Be blessed sister 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️
This means so much. I cried the whole time because I to get migraines. It’s not been easy but God is faithful. I’ve been told that I wouldn’t be able to make it in university and here I am going to my final year before postgrad. God is faithful.
Hello. 😊 God also uses other people as instrument to send his help. Maybe you'd like to try going to a chiropractor for realignment. Good also for your nerves and oxygen flow in the body.
I can't imagine how is like, but God will give you strength! By the way, have you ever heard about chiropractic? Basically they work on adjusting your spine, muscles and bones by cracking them in a way you feel much relief. Never been to one, but maybe give it a go may help. God bless you, sister. :)
I just watched yesterday. I cried and still I cry today. Watching this series has made me understand so much more than all the years and days at church. What a gift the series has been.
This scene literally put me in tears. This was the only scene in the entire show that impacted me so much that I cried. I have CP and I’ve it my entire life. It has been very difficult and literally dictates how I move in each day. I have prayed for healing my entire life, but I think It’s God’s will to show His glory through me just like this. God, May Your will be done. Help me to accomplish the purpose you have for me.
But there are times when he doesn't heal people. Maybe because He has a plan for them later on in the future. In this world bones will still break, hearts will still break but in the end the light will over come the darkness
@@ViktoriyaNikolaev-jk6jt That's from the scene yes. The Gospel shows that the only time Messiah didn't heal was in front of King Herod, during His arrest. Because Herod wanted to use Him for his entertainment.
He still didn’t turn him down. He said he could heal him. The reality is that James didn’t want to be healed after it was explained to him his impact. I have no doubt if he still wanted it, Jesus would have healed him.
@@KD-bk7gd I respectfully disagree. Matthew 14 v34-36 "When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding region and brought to Him all who were sick; and they pleaded with Him that they might just touch the border of His cloak; and all who touched it were cured." This is one of the Messiah's defining traits. I understand what you're saying. But this is truly against His character.
@@johnpratts2856 I agree with you, I think what I’m saying is that all those people wanted to be healed. After this conversation little James maybe didn’t want to be healed physically anymore. Jesus certainly could have done it, he even says as much. Jesus didn’t “deny” him healing, not at all. Denying him would have been against his character, but that isn’t what happened.
Having Cerebral Palsy for 70 years now, I can relate to this scene and even the emotions that were displayed, God has decided NOT to heal me, but it doesn’t make any difference to me. wether he heals me or doesn’t, I still choose to love and serve him. This body we live in, is only temporary anyway. One of my favorite verses is Romans 8:10 (NKJV) And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
That is an amazing testimony Deborah! I feel the same! I lost my son on November 23 - He was 30 and I miss him terribly but these bodies are not who we are and this world is not,our home! Bless you sister! 🙌🏼🕊🐑🩸✝️❤️🔥🔥
@@tammywright1188 I am so sorry for your loss Tammy, I lost my grandson last year to a car wreck, yes this life is only temporal.. I confessed to the Lord I was a little upset with him when my grandson passed, and even in my confession the Lord gave me a peace and such a rest.. even in our doubts he is faithful I wouldn’t want to live in this world with out him..I will pray 🙏🏼 for you
My mother has a paralyzed leg after having polio 81 years ago, and I have had multiple miscarriages, a stillborn son, and a daughter who died a few minutes after birth. I really felt this scene!
I am so sorry about all the pain and suffering that you have had to go through. I know, life is not easy at times but we must take refuge as you know in Jesus Christ. I will be praying for you and hope that God gives you good health. I can’t imagine the pain however of losing a child. I’ve been told there’s no pain like it. I hope you have a nice day and I send blessings to you and all your loved ones. Take care of you, and may you be blessed each and every day. Susan from Canada
I love the comment about Simon's temper! Having dealt with people, tempers are so much harder to deal with than physical disabilities. Plus, "Little James" knew Simon's temper, so it gave a momentary relief from the intensity of his conversation with "Jesus" and allowed him to focus on what he was being told about not being healed, instead of HIS feelings about not being healed. And having gone through the grief of losing my husband, I can tell you those moments of levity make it so much easier for the comforts being offered to come in.
I understand what you are saying, and it is an impactful scene and God can and does use it for our good and His purposes; but I’m not so sure that the LORD Jesus would have made a comment that would have made someone look bad (even if true) to help someone else feel better. There are many other things that could have been said, even with similar humor to lessen the intensity of the moment, without speaking disparagingly of Peter.
@@trishaamaral682 I didn't take it as Jesus speaking disparagingly of Peter. Even Peter knew he was a hot head. It was just a moment of levity, and it worked. It got that little chuckle out of Simon and lifted his burden a bit more in that moment, to have his Lord make a little joke w/ him. It was said in love and w/ love and James clearly took it that way too.
@@saintejeannedarc9460 - the ends do not justify the means. A disparaging remark is disparaging, independent of how James’ character was written to have taken it, or how you or I take it as fans of the show. People can say offensive things, but that doesn’t mean we have to be offended by them, but that doesn’t change the fact that what was said was offensive. Even if what say we is true, if we say something about someone else that causes the person we are talking to to see the person we are talking about in a lesser light, we are guilty of being unloving toward our brother.
@@trishaamaral682 Ok, I understand that's how you feel about it. I just don't. Your mind is not going to be changed if I try and explain it some more, and that's fine. We have different experiences and different ways of thinking. I saw it as a kindness w/ no mean or ill intent. Intent counts for a lot.
@@trishaamaral682 But Simons temper wasn't necessarily a bad thing, neither was Jesus in this scene saying it was. It's just difficult to deal with us, especially if we have tempers.
I've been watching The Chosen since it's come out. The more I watch, the more it speaks to me. This last episode that you show here means the most. For nine years I suffered with degenerative osteoarthritis in both knees. I became so crippled that I needed to be in a wheelchair to go anywhere. I'm raising my grandson and being disabled made it very tough. I asked God many times to heal me. I later had both my knees replaced. It wasn't until after my knee surgeries did I realize why God didn't heal my knees. The night after my first surgery I was able to pray the Salvation prayer with an elderly lady and also pray a prayer of peace over another lady who was so fearful! Several years prior to that, God told me he was going to use me as a conduit and I never understood. After helping that lady find Jesus as Savior, I knew what He meant. I want to be used by God and I'm beginning to realize that His ways are not my ways and it may not come easy! Great episode of The Chosen and Grafted. Peace to all!
I have had several back surgeries and on high power opiods for 30 years. It has open so many doors in witnessing as you sat. Galatians 2 verse 20. It is no longer I that live I have been crucified in Christ and now he lives in me. Thank you Lord
Oh, My Goodness That was Fantastically Said, I PRAY That God will Use Me To Bring People Closer To Him, And In Tiny Ways I Will Notice Sometimes, But It Took My Sister, we were in Dollar General 1 day and before You Knew It We Were Having A Prayer Vigil There were about 4 to 5 of us and that's when My Sister Said To Me ..Oh, my goodness sister you started a Prayer Vigil right in the Store. To tell you the truth I don't know if I would have known it, if it wasn't for her. So from that moment on I have tried to become aware of what what is going on around me. GOD BLESS YOU AND CONTINUED SUCCESS ON SPREADING THE WORD. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE.
I understand that this scene probably exists for a modern audience that doesn’t see signs and wonders and healings. But Jesus healed all who came to him for healing. While he was on Earth, that was part of his ministry. There’s no way he would not have healed his own disciple. It would be enough of a sign that his disciples could heal in his stead.
Yes definitely when I sa this scene I knew right of the bad that there was something wrong here because when I read the bible this is not the Jesus there so it is definitely devil
Scripture says he healed many, not all. He left towns that still has sick people in it, in order to go to other town. If his objective was to heal all, he could of simply spoken “ all be healed” without him touching anyone and it would of been so. To the same degree he spoke Lazarus arise, and it was so. Your logic supposed Christ cared about his disciples than anyone else, so they would of surely had highest chance of being healed…yet he died for humanity and it just for his disciples. You suppose God loved disciplines more than Paul as to why Paul’s request for deliverance from a affliction was denied?
I was recently diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disorder that flares up from time to time. It was hard knowing that I would deal with this for the rest of my life, but after a while I realized that God was preparing me for a deeper relationship with him. As James 1:2-4 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
I absolutely love your reaction videos. They reveal your deep, abiding faith and the understanding you have of the Father’s love encourages me greatly. Thank you both.
I had an NDE in 2003, meet Jesus and was told I will help heal the world. I've been sick and disabled since and God has been preparing me, but I constantly doubt things because how can I heal when being not healed? This scene spoke directly to me and had helped my faith grow stronger, and my health improves every day I just put my faith in God. Love to all. Amen.
This scene truly touched me personally. My 20 yr old grandson was waiting for a heart transplant that he never got. He suffered even more after a cardiac arrest, he had surgery and lived 3 more days but then he died. This was exactly what I needed to see and hear! Thank you guys for your explaining even further what Jesus was saying 🙏🙏
I always cry at this. I had a stroke which left me with impaired vision and years of recovery to gain normalcy. At first I was so angry but slowly I learned that I had time to really study the Word and feel His Love. I rejoice now and tell anyone who will listen that God is Good!
Guys, It always amazes me of the awareness of two such young men as yourselves. Clearly anointed, clearly appointed to do good works. On occasion, If I get lost in a concern. I set my cell alarm for 5 hours (just one chime), when it goes off. It's time to change focus and remind myself of Yashua's suffering on the Cross for me. When we become followers of Yashua's, we accept that there will be "necessary sufferings",... his assurance makes you believe!
Allex Ramsey I thought I would make you aware that the suffering that Jesus went through for the punishment of sins did not happen on the cross. It happened in the Garden of Gethsemane. The pain he suffered there to the point that blood came through his pores... he was receiving the punishment for every sin that everyone had committed, was committing and would commit. The suffering on the cross was the outward manifestation that people could related and be astonished. Jesus told us that no one killed him. Here... read for yourself: John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. After he had taken on the sins of the world in the Garden... and had he died there. No one would have given him a 2nd thought as to what had actually happened. He had to hang on the cross to make it of great consequence. If it was just the hanging on the Cross that made it all happen... how many other 1000's of people have also been crucified? Peter died on a cross, upside down. He did not want to die the same way as Jesus did so he asked to turned on his head.
Why people don’t receive healing is between them and God, but it’s not because God hasn’t provided it. We rely on God’s word, not people’s experiences. Just because some people continue to sin, does that make redemption through the blood of Jesus less true?
I’ve seen this scene idk how many times, but it gets me bawling. I suffer from schizophrenia, and depression. The part where Jesus says to James “you will be healed, it’s just a matter of time, so hold on a little longer. Shalom my son” is what really gets to me.
I love you guys. Thank you for your education and hearts. I cried from the episode and every time i see this scene I cry. But when you all get filled up with me just by watching, it gives me so much joy because it feels like community. Bless you both.
This isn’t biblical…. I need to do a reaction video. I understand the sentiment but Jesus never once used this line on anyone. This scene isn’t biblical and neither is the theology
Thank you. We can’t just make shit up to make ourself feel better. Jesus healed all, the only place that he did not heal people specifically said it’s due to their unbelief. We either take it or leave it all this extra additions is just deluding oneself.
I really look forward to your reactions on the chosen bec.. even if i am a catholic i never grew up in a home with relationship with God.. we might be religious but i had to make an effort to get to know him.. last yr i started reading the bible and i pray that i would get to know clearly the one that i am reading.. and i discovered the chosen later this year and then i found your page such insightful.. somehow i felt it is a light in the dark.. and how i love your rawness and the way you are touched by each scene.. it is so human unlike other reviews that they contain their emotions.. just because they are a man.. i look forward in all your content and you both look amazingly great.. ❤️ from Philippines..
There are people that only James could reach, walking with a crutch. As horrible as it was for James to walk with his crutch, in God's eyes he was limitless. 🥲
Sobbing along with you guys while watching the scene between Jesus and Little James about "A little bit suffering on this side of eternity"! Tears just roll down and won't stop. Phew!!!
There's so many beautiful scenes in this entire series. I really have fallen in love with this show. You can tell that they put a lot of love and effort and respect for the life of the Lord Jesus Christ and his apostles.
By His stripes we are healed.Believe this words, instead of believing in your symptoms.Even if it is not manifested in your flesh, believe that 2000yrs ago you are healed by the stripes of Jesus.Your faith will move mountain and in due time your healing will be manifested on your body.
New subbie friend here. Your videos are so insightful. Obviously the Chosen is an emotional roller coaster and your reactions and words make it even better. Thank you for your honest reactions❤
Jesus healed every single person who CAME TO Him for healing, no exceptions. And Jesus is the exact representation of our Father (Hebrews 1:3)(John 14:9), who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8) . So I'm not sure why we base our theology on examples of people "not getting" healed, which is walking by sight. The only example we see of someone not receiving healing/deliverance in the Gospels is when the Disciples prayed for the demonized boy in Mark 9 but could not deliver him. Later Jesus came and delivered the boy. Was it God's will to heal/deliver the boy? Yes! But did it happen when the Disciples prayed? No. Healing is not a yes or no in Jesus. Let God be true and every man a liar. Isaiah 53 says "...Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and He carried our pains..." Paul's thorn in the flesh? That was persecution, not sickness. Thorn in the flesh was always used in the Old Testament to express people being persecuted or having other people come against them, not sickness or disease. (Numbers 33:55)(Judges 2:3)(Joshua 23:13). Paul knew the Old Testament writings very well, and he would have been familiar with the phrase "thorn in the flesh" and its intended meaning. The messenger of Satan that was "Paul's Thorn" was stirring up persecution against Paul. A messenger carries a message, and that messenger of Satan was whispering in the ears of those who hated Paul to stir up even more hatred against Paul. If you have been accused of lacking faith and were offended, it's time to forgive who said that and get into His word. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God! Read the Gospels and see how Jesus was willing to heal all who came to Him. Remember, walk by faith not by sight, do not believe what some say about Jesus' willingness to heal or not based on experiences, but rather taste and see who Jesus is in His Word! Sometimes there is mystery, and yes many have died despite having been prayed for (I have experienced this 3 times with close loved ones, including my youth pastor due to cancer), but we cannot afford to base our understanding of God's word on our experiences and disappointments, rather we must persist until God's Word begins to shape our experiences. Remember, He who said "I am willing, be clean" will say the same for you.
Amen I agree healing is the children's bread. No ifs ands or buts it's God's will to heal people. Sometimes we may be allowed to get sick due to the world the Flesh and the devil but it's never because of God
After healing the man at the pool of Bethesda. Jesus walked away from all the other sick people. Sometimes we just don't understand his ways. THAT'S walking by faith.
“Jesus healed all that came to him” It’s 100% unbiblical to say Jesus didn’t heal people because it would inspire others to believe even through their sickness.
"suffering" is due to evil and never the will of God. Come to Jesus and Find His Will to Heal even in the midst of suffering in this evil world. Have a conversation with your Savior and know He is Mighty to Save
True and Jesus heals every person it is just that some healing is completed in our eternal life not our temporary one. 🤷♀️ as a lifelong disabled Christian I am more concerned about my heart and soul being healed so as to bless others and glorify Him for I trust all will be healed in His time - if thats eternity so be it
Healing is for this life only. The Bible tells us that you are either born again, saved or not. Spiritually, you are either alive or dead. A healing spirit is outside of the Christian Bible. Jesus never turns away anybody who comes to Him for help. He is mighty to save. As somebody who has personally received miracles and healings from Jesus, and who loves His Word and has to read it continually, I can't believe how the majority of people love this interpretation of Jesus. It's more Catholic then Christian.
The problem is people immediately attribute all that happen or does not happen to Gods will. Will we also say God willed all the genocide that has occurred around the world? The world is messed up and bad things happen that’s the default, sometimes (and for reasons we may never fully understand) God is able to intervene and healing and miracles occur. We Christian sometimes have it backward cus we tend to think God owes us healing. If you are not getting healed remember the rest of humanity is going through the same, at least in Jesus you have a promise to hold on to. Instead of getting frustrated see it as an adventure, getting sick sometime in your life is already the default human experience, seeking / receiving divine healing is the Christian adventure one you can enjoy regardless of the outcome.
@@kbc3601How can you receive healing in this life if you don’t believe that healing is for this life? God has said, “according to your faith, may it be done unto you”. Faith is always a prerequisite for experiencing the fulfillment of God’s promises in one’s life.
Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.” 1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.”
I’m still compelled to disagree with how The Chosen portrayed this issue of healing. Even if you agree with the video that this scene was NOT about healing, but about the fact that all followers of Jesus should expect suffering, to leave the audience with the implication that Jesus did not heal everyone that wanted to be healed (not found in Scripture) is what I have a problem with.
more and more scenes in that series are departing fro scripture .. people forget it is a fictional series based on the producers imaginations of the interactions of the disciples . it is FICTIONAL . not a scripture based series . it is the epitome of turning the lords house into a multi million dollar market place -yet again
I agree with you 100%. The heart of Jesus is to heal all that came to him for healing. This was re-enforced by the death and resurrection. By His stripes I am healed.
I am in tears, I have painful osteoarthritis for many years that has stopped me from enjoying marine sports and often asked God why I am not healed even though I prayed for forgiveness
The answer to the caption is really streight forward from the words spoken. To walk with God doing great things and telling about his healing and not being healed yourself show loyalty, faith and commitment. To do God's work expecting nothing in return is more powerful then expecting.
I’m stunned that so many so-called Christians are placing more credence in a fictitious scene from a show than they do in the word of God. In fact, many of the comments show that the majority don’t know the Bible and don’t know that the scene didn’t come from the Bible, but from the imaginations of entertainment writers. The first step in receiving the healing which was purchased by Jesus is to know what God says about healing and standing firm on God’s word. I’m shocked that people would rather stand on fiction rather than God’s truth. Then they wonder why they’re not receiving healing. People really need to repent.
Watching your reaction and tears made me realize I must have bitterness and resentment in my heart for my own suffering. My first reaction is Jesus is gaslighting little James, but thinking about ppl suffer greatly still joyful, mine really is not comparable. How to have gratitude and joy in any circumstance really takes a greater miracle.
Be assured that these "greater miracles" also do happen. I'm praying as you go through this - it can't be easy, but please hang on, He's right beside you!
Hello Tom& Sam!! I’m loving season three of the Chosen- as I’m sure you are as well!! Episode two wrecked me- in the best of ways!! This scene between Jesus & Little James really hit home for me!! I am asmatic for all my life and i have asked my self que why me coz i coundnt do many things...watching this scene countless times loving the message that our Father has trusted me that much
This is very personal for me. This comes only from a place of love. We can't go based on our feelings or experiences. This scene never happened in scripture. If in doubt please read Psalm 103:2-3 (He says not to forget all His benefits. Who forgives ALL our sin and heals ALL our diseases.) Isaiah 53:4-5, 1 Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:17...and so many other scriptures ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you from His word. He never once delayed, refused or made anyone earn their healing. It is literally the definition of salvation (sozo) it means saved, healed and delivered, protected, made whole. I WAS sick for yeeeeeeaaaars before I learned the truth. He said in John 8:31-32 ...you will KNOW the truth and the truth will set you free...He says in a couple verses later that the Son sets us free indeed. We cannot get free from a truth we don't know. Which why this is so crucial. Also Luke 11:13. He is a Good Father. Can't do justice here but my goodness please guard this in your heart and search the scripture for yourself. This scene and video contradicts the rest of scripture. Praying Eph 1:17-21 is so powerful to pray over ourselves and others. I know we try to explain circumstances and experiences and make sense of it but the word addresses this powerfully and GOD'S desire and will is always for healing. We dont even need sickness to take us to heaven. God says He wants to satisfy us with long life. He said the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in us and WILL quicken our MORTAL bodies. We can say Lord if what I am believing isn't true please reveal in your word the WHOLE truth. Thank you Lord!! God bless you all!!
Dina, appreciate what you have to said, unfortunately too many people have heard similar messages that equate physical suffering as being redemptive in some way. For the most part the Chosen series has been fine. This one scene hits a bad chord with me, it is totally unscriptural and does not reflect Christ's true nature.
The devil will tell a lie and twist it into emotional manipulation, I have had contradictions on the Chosen because it clearly doesn't follow the Scriptures. Jesus Christ healed all those who came to him.Nowehere again in the Gospels talk that one his disciples was sick which this movie portrays and lies and deceive people. In the Last days many will be deceived and many are really deceived, Nowhere in the Scripture says the disciple was sick and wasn't healed, it says he healed all who came to him, even the ones who touch his garment. Deception is always interesting, bit by bit when you tolerate it, the deceiver will add more and more.
I would love to see the behind the scenes of this moment in S3E2. I can’t imagine it being shot without either of these two breaking down 😭and needing some time.
When Little James asked Jesus this question it reminded me about my hard, dark childhood and growing up, when I was 11 year old girl my Mom died when She was 31, 5 years later Granddad and 6 years ago Grandma, my Dad was an alcoholic through my Whole childhood and he stopped drinking about 5-6 years ago and while alcohol was more important I was always sick, every and each month, since I was born. I've had problems with my health and it was hard to catch up with lessons and school and I've cried and screamed to God why He will not help me, or do something? Why He took my Mom when I was only a little girl? And I didn't want anyone to get close to me, I was ashamed of myself, my Dad, I was angry, blaming myself to for my Mom's death, I couldn't forgive Dad or even myself. I didn't want to live and just any hope left me then, strenght too and I was only asking God why won't You just take me and end my misery that You love to send on me? Why won't You kick me more? Or why won't You heal me, make me normal, stronger so I could get through this not damaged and broken? But now I know and understand that I wouldn't want to be normal or healed, cause I've become person that I always supposed to be, I helped many people and still trying to and I'm trying to inspire my friends and people at all to not give up and accept who they are even if this hurts and I reasure them that everything will be alright and at the end of the tunel awaits light and the future them that are waiting for them only to say You see? You made it and You should be proud of Yourself. And as Little James said about that his disability doesn't make anything easier, cause life will not make anything easier for us, life will make us tough and smarter, mature, to learn and teach others and help others and ourselfs. Little James supposed to be his own hero and support and prove that no matter what, disability or not we can make it and not let ourselfs to be broken, bitter, feel less worthy or less good enough, that we still can and supposed to work on ourselfs to be better to see strenght in ourselfs and on our disabilities and see the beauty in our brokeness, Jesus was right in what he said to Little James. You can be and do more in spite of your disabilities, in spite who You were earlier, on spite of your mistakes in the past, what matters is who You are now, who You can be and how much better person You can be and change others life and make others see that, that we all can be better in spite of our problems, pasts, what we experienced in life was only a lesson, a test, a beginning of becoming better selfs, to learn about life and ourselfs, what we can do and what kind of people we can be and we should treat it as precious and then let go of the past, let go of seeing ourselfs as less even though it's hard and almost impossible. We supposed to be the light for ourselfs and for the others that need it and are list as we once were as Jesus wanted Little James to understand this.
Tom and Sam. It's Great that others are encouraged by this story who are struggling with healing, But Jesus himself never turned away from anyone while He was on earth for healing or deliverance. To say He did this is bad scriptural Theology. Very different situation than going to anyone else on earth for healing. We all have things that we ask God to heal, often he does what we ask, rarely in how we expect. But Jesus never said , NO to anyone while on earth... I love all the other stories because they "could have happened this way" But this one was impossible.
The Bible says Jesus healed ALL who came to him more than once. That is not to say we don’t have suffering and tribulation, that is a certainty. There is nowhere in scripture where Jesus explains to anyone it would be better for the Kingdom if they kept their illness. That is a Catholic belief.
The absolute most inspiring relatable scene in this amazing series. This scene probably spoke to everyone who has seen it. Beautiful and haunting and exactly what I cling to when the cross gets heavy.
This episode in theaters WRECKED me! I have walked this journey and am still in it. I have had a mass and I have begged God for healing. I was on a mission's trip and saw people being healed when I prayed over them, but still lacking this healing myself. This episode just helped me realize that someday, I will be healed, but until then, I'm gonna trust and wait on my father!
This scene was incredibly frustrating and inaccurate. I was greatly disappointed that Dallas and the team would take so much creative liberty and make Jesus do something He never did. The Bible is incredibly clear that Jesus healed EVERY person who came to Him. He never turned away any, and when His disciples couldn't heal someone He rebuked them and healed the man (Matthew 17). I recognize that not everyone is healed, and this leaves many confused and hurting, but we don't have the right to change who Jesus is. Jesus never rejected anyone who came to Him for healing. I have loved the Chosen and still do but this scene was incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking. They changed Jesus and watered Him down to fit our experience and lack of breakthrough instead of taking the Jesus from the Bible who healed ALL. We cannot let our experience and lack of healing change who Jesus is. He made it incredibly clear. I have compassion for all who haven't gotten healed, I've been frustrated by the same thing as well. But this doesn't give us the right to change who Jesus is. This is a wonderful show but this was a massive mistake and inaccuracy to change who Jesus is.
Thank you for speaking what I believe so passionately! I appreciate the heart of the creators of The Chosen, and I am a financial supporter, but I absolutely did not agree with this scene as it betrays the scriptures themselves. Jesus healed them all! He refused no one who came to Him! We cannot try to rationalize our own often very painful situations by saying that it was Jesus who chose NOT to heal us. There is much about healing we will know when we get to Heaven, but I do know that Jesus is never the obstacle!
@@joeyparsons14 The bible also never says he went to the bathroom. Jesus saw all sorts of sickness and disease for 95% of his life and allowed it to stay how it was. During his ministry years he had a particular purpose for the healings he was doing. I don't think God's goal is for us to have as smooth and easy a life as possible. My wife used to have serious kidney problems. One day I prayed for her, and they were healed, and the problems never came back. She also has M.S., and we have prayed and believed for many years for that to be healed, and God has said no up to this point. God has used the M.S. and pain in a lot of miraculous ways to produce beautiful things in her and the people around her. I just think that sometimes we see a problem that needs fixing, but God doesn't see it the same way.
This whole scene is a stumbling block to believers. I can’t tell you how many people I have gone to pray for for healing that use this thinking as a justification to not be healed. Faith always believes, and we are always growing in faith. Go ask the people who consistently see healing miracles vs people who don’t and build an entire belief system around why they don’t see it. You will know a tree by its fruit.
I have heard of people who argue that they are turned away from evangelism when they are thretened by people coming off as "better than". This speaks to this subject. As a Christian I've struggled with suffering publicly, because I worry I will turn people away from the faith by appearing to weak or not joyful enough etc. But we all NEED Jesus because we are weak. And we have strength given to us by Him. ❤ We all backslide , we all have imperfections and some people *really* resonate with that. Personally I never did. Growing up misled, I think part of it was definitely people talking the talk...not walking the narrow path; but when they did talk up how great it is to be Christian, and yet when they did mean things, and were unhappy a lot...I felt there was no Good reason to be interested in their faith. So I think that's why I put that on myself as a Christian. When I fail, I worry it reflects poorly on the faith. But that's because I'm forgetting to help others see the message is not about me, it's about Jesus. Not about my faith even, but theirs. Though I think having people with more or less obvious weaknesses, and different ones can help lead certain individuals to the Lord. It's a really beautiful diversity in His People to gather a diveristy of people away from damnation to Him. ❤ Praise Jesus 🙌
Seriously hearing the pain in his voice is so upsetting. The wound of never feeling good enough or not feeling like you measuring up against others is a deep wound. 😢
This particular scene is so powerful and moving. No matter how many times i watched it. No words to describe it. Praise to God. Your kingdom and glory is forever
100 years in this world suffering will be nothing compared to the Life you will have with the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity. Imagine 1000 yrs, 10,000, years, 100,000, 1,000,000 years with God and so on and so forth forever full of Joy and Happiness without pain and suffering. Worth the price you will pay in this finite world!!
In the Bible, Jesus healed EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO ASKED FOR HEALING. I believe this was for at least 2 reasons. First, to fulfill prophecy. Isaiah 53:4 (WEBBE) "Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted." Second, to make it clear that everything is different when He's around. Luke 8:43.
Is Isaiah talking about physical sickness or spiritual sickness? Regarding the healing of the woman with the blood issue, that is an isolated incident that does not prove that Jesus healed everyone. The idea that Jesus healed everyone who asked for healing is an assumption not a biblical certainty. Jesus' will never conflicts with the Father. Since God's character never changes, it is consistent that Christ would deny certain people their wants if it did not align with His Father's will. He did refuse demands for signs and miracles. Remember His words to His hometown of Nazareth, "And he said to them, “Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, ‘“Physician, heal yourself.” What we have heard you did at Capernaum, do here in your hometown as well.’” And he said, “Truly, I say to you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown. But in truth, I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heavens were shut up three years and six months, and a great famine came over all the land, and Elijah was sent to none of them but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed, but only Naaman the Syrian.” (Luke 4:23-27 ESV). The heart of God has always been to heal everyone, but in His wisdom, justice, and love, He does not. Thus, Christ is not beholden to heal everyone, just because they asked. This popular characterization of Jesus as a philanthropist without reserve plays into the atheist's argument that all-loving God would not let anyone suffer.
That scene got me bawling like a baby. I have Lupus and MS. My right eye is blind. My left ear is deaf. My left side refuses to listen to my brain. I live with pain.

I can’t find any scripture about James and a disability. Did Jesus change James name to Paul?
@@rochelle2269 no
At 5:30, I didn't see that as Jesus comparing.

I can't imagine how is like, but God will give you strength! By the way, have you ever heard about chiropractic? Basically they work on adjusting your spine, muscles and bones by cracking them in a way you feel much relief. Never been to one, but maybe give it a go may help. God bless you, sister. :)
@@vaanda9446 Amen, and congratulations on making it into university! 😀 Also, congrats in advance on graduating!🥳
I just watched yesterday. I cried and still I cry today. Watching this series has made me understand so much more than all the years and days at church. What a gift the series has been.
How? The scene was fictitious. It didn’t come from the Bible. If fiction teaches you more than church, then you have a huge problem.
Powerful scene. But our Messiah always healed. He never turned anyone down.
Matthew 14 v34-36
"When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding region and brought to Him all who were sick; and they pleaded with Him that they might just touch the border of His cloak; and all who touched it were cured."
This is one of the Messiah's defining traits.
One of my favorite verses is
Romans 8:10 (NKJV)
And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

I always cry at this. I had a stroke which left me with impaired vision and years of recovery to gain normalcy. At first I was so angry but slowly I learned that I had time to really study the Word and feel His Love. I rejoice now and tell anyone who will listen that God is Good!
The scene gave me goosebumps. It’s so beautiful and a great teaching.
Here... read for yourself:
John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
In Matthew it says that he healed all who came to him not some ALL!!!!!😶
But if that were true then kids wouldn't be dying from leukemia
Paul was not healed
Why people don’t receive healing is between them and God, but it’s not because God hasn’t provided it. We rely on God’s word, not people’s experiences. Just because some people continue to sin, does that make redemption through the blood of Jesus less true?
I’ve seen this scene idk how many times, but it gets me bawling. I suffer from schizophrenia, and depression. The part where Jesus says to James “you will be healed, it’s just a matter of time, so hold on a little longer. Shalom my son” is what really gets to me.

VERY TOUCHING, I CRIED A LOT WHILE HEARING EVERY WORDS, OF JESUS AND LITTLE JAMES, HERE I AM, OT TOUCHES MY ♥ HEART, THANK YOU LORD..
Those weren’t the words of Jesus. It never happened in the Bible. It’s a fictitious scene that was written by movie writers.
Sobbing along with you guys while watching the scene between Jesus and Little James about "A little bit suffering on this side of eternity"! Tears just roll down and won't stop. Phew!!!
Jesus didn't came to promote suffering. Read your Bible don't watch movies
Isaiah 53 says "...Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and He carried our pains..."
Paul's thorn in the flesh?
Jesus never said he wouldn't be healed and that's the blessing. Yall better catch that!
I love the book Imagine Heaven. It was such a comfort when my Daddy was in hospice.
Sam and Tom you are such a blessing to me with your tender and understanding hearts.
“Jesus healed all that came to him” It’s 100% unbiblical to say Jesus didn’t heal people because it would inspire others to believe even through their sickness.
@violet's place that’s my thought, his healing is eventually
My Jesus is Willing and Able to Heal All who come to Him in Faith
I love how flabbergasted Jonathan as Jesus reacts to the "burden" sentence. it feels so real and so warm. great acting.
As someone disabled since birth and not been healed, this helped me see thru a different understanding.
Genesis 50:20
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
1 Peter 3:17
“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil.”
I'm so interested to see what you guys have to say, especially after knowing some of Tom's testimony.
Yes ! His testimony was so inspirational. Faith no matter what the circumstances.
I cried so much in this scene ,these words was in grave in my heart, how can’t I not serve him
I’m still compelled to disagree with how The Chosen portrayed this issue of healing.
Yes! 100%
I've watched this scene several times but it still making cry. its so powerful
Made me cry. How the greatest is to trust and PRAISE GOD. WHAT understanding .
Wonderful reaction, Love what you had to say. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU SAFE, HALLELUJAH 🙌
This scene hit me so hard and I watched it twice. So applicable to our life today as well.....LORD, help me put this to use in my life!
I was gonna say that too!!
I actually thought the Bible says Jesus healed them all, I didn’t know there was a time when Jesus didn’t heal. This scene sort of confused me.
I agree! All who looked to Him were healed. He turned no one away. This is not accurate.
Look up Nick Vijuicic
He didn't say James won't be healed though

I agree, All They Do, They Are Amazingly Awesome.......Love And God Bless Everyone
Thank you and God Bless
Love your work and I am so glad you have switched the large and small views that we see! Thank you for all you do to help us understand God's Word!
Yes,Well said, and Baptist as well. This was painful to watch as it was NOT accurate.
@robinl6659 that's what I've been told my whole life...glad to be learning the truth for myself!
I loved this scene. I had the tears flowing by the end of it.
This scene is really touching and this scene is really for me which I believe one day I will be healed through Jesus Christ. 🙏🙏🙏
I’ve said it before, but I love how you guy don’t hold back your tears or edit it out.
When I have feeling lost times and don’t understand it I think of this scene.
Whoooo too early for crying but here I am, crying at work.

Yes I enjoyed your clip! Thank you so much! Amen!✝️🙏
Jesus didn't heal anybody that we know of until he was 30. Before that time, he allowed people to have whatever physical issues they had.
@@MPaulHolmesMPH Show me scripturally where someone asked Him to be healed and He said no. That's my point.
Just cus something does not happen does not mean God said no. Why can’t we be satisfied with “I don’t know”?
This whole scene is a stumbling block to believers. I can’t tell you how many people I have gone to pray for for healing that use this thinking as a justification to not be healed. Faith always believes, and we are always growing in faith. Go ask the people who consistently see healing miracles vs people who don’t and build an entire belief system around why they don’t see it. You will know a tree by its fruit.
My friend and I were just talking about this.
@@BigD8404 it honestly sounds really nice, but when you boil it down, you realize this is really twisting the truth that Jesus paid for us to have.
You two have had an impact on me. Your love for God and for each other is beautiful and so very obvious. Thank you.
They truly are Awesome Actors, but in this scene they are Fantastic & Tear Jeaking. God Bless
This scene changed my life ❤
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 love this commentary so much. God bless you guys!!
Not me immediately crying hearing James voice crack at how the group is much better in so many ways
Seriously hearing the pain in his voice is so upsetting. The wound of never feeling good enough or not feeling like you measuring up against others is a deep wound. 😢
"Father in Heaven has a plan for them." That is a true statement.
This isn’t the Jesus from the Bible.
This particular scene is so powerful and moving. No matter how many times i watched it. No words to describe it. Praise to God. Your kingdom and glory is forever
Havent even seen episode 2 but I am crying already 😭
100 years in this world suffering will be nothing compared to the Life you will have with the Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity. Imagine 1000 yrs, 10,000, years, 100,000, 1,000,000 years with God and so on and so forth forever full of Joy and Happiness without pain and suffering. Worth the price you will pay in this finite world!!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR MY GREATEST WEAKNESS AMEN 🙏❤🎉
My husband has stage 4 and this brought him great hope and answered prayers
Outstanding!
Good video. This scene really hit me (I have a video on my channel explaining a little bit why). I cried when I first saw it.
Praise God ! Happy birthday Jesus ! Merry Christmas to all !!
