- After a break enforced by poor weather - well it is typhoon season - back in the air during a couple of weeks in the middle of the month. True wind ranged from WSW to ESE but strong local conditions at Lantau's South facing ridge trumps the prevailing wind and creates some great conditions.
I have finally invested in DaVinci Studio 17 which means I can edit 4k at 60fps directly. Most of this video was shot in 4k 30fps plus I did a fair bit of digital zooming and I have not quite got to grips with colour management yet either so it's not the prettiest output but some of the content is quite good. I didn't even see the 'Bouncy Castle' at the time and no-one was hurt so that's just bonus entertainment.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Your wing looks awesome. I am eyeing out the Allegro X-Alps as a C upgrade from a High B maybe for next season.
Thanks for your comment.👍 I upgraded from an Eden7 which is a great wing but was never quite as precise as I wanted it to be. The AXA feels very precise and the line arrangement makes it fast on SB and gives a very efficient big ears. Really easy to launch too so long as you hold all 4 A’s. Hope it works for you too😁.

@@completespaz1873 Thanks Pete!!! I am coincidentally flying an Eden 7! 😃 This is great news you are getting along well with your new wing and assuring I have met you a pilot with the same experience I am looking to get into regarding my next wing.
Thanks again for the insight! By the way, I am also delving into DaVinci Resolve, still a newbie though.
@@JorgeParagliding haha, interesting. I looked at your videos so I suspect Ziad has some influence for you also😉. The Eden is a great wing and a very good progression from an A or a low B. The AXA has a different character but if you are comfortable on the Eden 7 then you should have no trouble adjusting to an AXA. I was also a bit light on the Eden, the weight ranges of the Phi suit me better…and a bit of a diet too😖😁.
For the sake or argument tho I do have 3 issues with the Phi:
1. Buy the GIN Concertina Compress Bag, the wing just comes in a very simple bag.
2. The material is light and fragile. I ripped the leading edge on a twig without even knowing it and I was being very careful.
3. The lines 😖😖😖😖. I love the layout but I have yet to unpack and set up without knots in the lines.
As for davinci resolve, I’m really just a half-baked amateur, I just watch UA-cam ‘how to’ videos. Resolve works great unless you want to handle 360° footage or >30fps. For ~€300 Studio has a few more features but right now they are giving away their SpeedEditor keyboard for free. I’m not sure how to use it yet but it looks good🙄.
Beaut video!
