@@thebeardedclown nope, at least not in my case. I used a single stage urethane paint. Ended up doing 2.5 thick coats on top of high build primer for max durability

Where’d you source that grille from? I’ve seen replicas for sale on a quick google search, but is that an OEM used one from a hilux? Specific year would help out too. Thanks in advance for your insight from an ‘86 T4R.

Good Morning Guys! From Annapolis, Md about your trucks front grille, what did you use for the headlight bezels on the headlights? and did the center grille fit the mounting holes for the screws?
Thanks for tuning in! It was a bit of a PITA honestly, But I cut the original bezels after carefully measuring and glued them to the grille. Only a couple of the factory holes lined up.
@@ToyotaWorldRunners Thanks for your response, I saw that only a couple of holes did line up, I like your approach on trimming the original 1st gen bezels. and I can see how it is a PITA!! I pictured it all in my head, hope I can sleep tonight, LOL

Had me an 85 with factory fuel injection, one of the many let goes I wish I wouldn’t have…….
I have a 86 I hate it and wouldn't want any else I can drive over a Corolla but I get 20 /24 mi a gal . I also have 2 @200amh on solar off my alternator .😭 So sad and I have over 500 of gear. Plus the wheigt of 2 battery s

4y engine... Timing chain... The car doesnt know what is obstacle terrain... Hahahahhahaha... Used to have 1 before... Sadly had to let go because too many rusty body part... Eventho still manage paid me 1.5k back...
