    I might have a cxouple of suggestions that will improve your setup. My brother and his friend made a headgasket with four sets of platinum points equally mounted around the cylinder. It was layered in between the gasket material like a circuit board. So instead of firing from the spark plug it fired from each set of points. The platinum points had no place to hold any carbon build up so would not foul out like a spark plug. and firing the gas mixture with four sets of spark burned the fuel vapor quicker and more completely.(old airplanes had two sparkplugs per cylinder)
    Giving an increase of power with less fuel consumtion and less emissions. My idea to add to this is to reduce fuel droplet size thus increasing surface area of the fuel by using an ultrasonic mister which instantly vaporizes a drop of liquid to a finer mist than a carburator is capable of. This should also increase power while decreasing consumption andEmmisions. The reason you do not see this gasket method of spark on the market now is a sparkplug company bought their patent. Their was a drawback to the design they had not worked out at the time and that was that the gasket was thicker and you had to torque it down just right or it would blow the gasket. But this was 40 years ago and we have much better materials to work with now. I really hope you read this or anyone else . It could be an easy add on for cars well worth the cost for the increased economy and decrease of emmisions. Hopefully give a little more time for the transition to the totally electric cars that are coming. Jake The Snake Was interested in the gasket for his race cars as it would have been a huge advantage. So if you need an investor you might want to try him. It also goes to show how money trumps humanityand that big corporations (Firestone) are more concerned with the bottom line than reducing polution to save mankind. We really need to institute a crimes against humanity law for people like that and Big Pharma who suppress or overprice discoveries that benefit life.. Please send a comment should you read this. I like to think I am at least trying yo help.

Also, propane butane etc, pure vapor 100 mpg carburetors(like mentioned here) , modifications for EFI, it's a huge area. Do your own research and experimentation, the huge MPG and power increases, totally possible.

    Smokey Yunick experiment with vapor carburetors in the late 70's or early 80's. He said that with the old formulated gas that modern cars with the advances they made to efficient and lighter weight car if they had vapor carburetors cars would be getting over a 100 miles per gallon. He said that in the Popular Science Magazine. Problem is, that the gas now does not have the energy content it use to have. I ordered a vapor carburetor system from a guy who advertised in Popular Science in the 1980"s. A genius mechanic friend of mine built it. He drove it to Myrtle Beach and back. He had to drive it on vapor because the high heat from the heated mixture of vapor melted his carburetor plastic float! You started the car on carburetor and switched over to gas when the heat exchanger heated the gas to vapor. I noticed from the plans that the inventor had to add a new feature to the heat exchanger, It was a Sludge Tank! Because the Gasoline People had add junk to the fuel. When the vapor cracked away from it, you had to have the sludge to drain from the heat exchanger. My inventor friend that built and drove it said that He took it off his truck. To experiment, He filled a milk jug with a gallon of gas and set it out in the sun. When no more would evaporate, He had a third of a jug full of something that would not burn if you stuck a blow torch in it. He did stick a blow torch in it. He said that the gas companies fixed it so the high mileage carburetors would no longer deliver high mileage! I remember in the early sixties that I bought an old Plumbers Blower Torch that use White Gas from amoco. I will it up with white high test gas and lite it off. The blow torch had a small chamber in the bottom that changed the gas to a vapor when heat by the flame chamber. The flame was feed by a very small pin hole. I set it on the tree stump and it has a pretty blue flame that sounded like a jet. It burned for hours! just a pretty blue flame. After my buddy told me about the junk in the gas, I went to the same Amoco station and bought the same high test from the same pump. Fill my Plumbers torch up and lite it off. When the pretty blue flame would burn for a minute and then black smoke would belch out until the trash in the gas unload and then the blue flame would start again. It did this like time work, over and over! The I came to the conclusion my inventor mechanic did. They Gas Companies had doped up the gas to kill vapor carburetor. The car manufactures made advances on the car engine to cover the gas chemists changes in the gas formula and add air pumps and catalyst converts to finish burning the gas that did not have time to burn in the cylinders. My air pump on my car locked down and was not pumping the air into the exhaust system and every time I started the car, black soot would blow out! Smokey Yunick was right, by changing the gas formula, High Mileage Carburetors would not work. I also noticed that Colman Gas Lanterns put on larger vapor chambers on to their lanterns to run this new gas. The heat chambers on the Old Colman Gas Lanterns were stopping up with this new junk in the gas.

    I have a 2000 Honda insight. Took out the battery 70 pounds. Took out about 150 pounds altogether. I get over 100 mpg gasoline only. It’s not a hybrid anymore.
    I do heat the gasoline with the catalytic converter and 20 feet of copper tubing. It goes into the injector rail. Are use power steering line instead of gasoline rubber hose line. Heavy duty hi temperature high-pressure power steering line has to be used with the copper tubing or it will melt regular gasoline rubber hose line. I also use special clamps that won’t cut into the hot Rubber. Also you have to use a spray nozzle. You can’t let the full amount of gasoline go to the injector rail. Are use a needle valve and cut the gasoline way back. A little pin prick hole even smaller than what comes out of a ether can. Is all the car needs to run. I also stopped the return line to the gas tank. You don’t want hot vapor going into a plastic gas can tank. Anyway. You let a very small amount of gasoline go into the copper tubing. It is vaporized Goes up to about 80 psi because it’s a very small amountgasoline going into the copper tube. Then you have another control system needle valve too let The vapor leave the copper tubing and go into the injectors. That has to be controlled. A car can burn as much vapor as it does liquid gas and your mileage will not change.
    Out on the street. There are like 10 hills I travel daily. The tallest one if my car will not go up it I turn the volume of vapor on a little higher. That sets my fuel line for my typography. If I know I’m not going to that hill for a long time I can turn the vapor down a little.
    It takes X amount of calories or energy joules whatever you wanna call it to climb a hill. Takes next to nothing to travel on flat ground takes nothing to go downhill.
    So what you’re trying to do is make the car efficient on level traveling. That’s what I’ve done

    One more thing.................. see those little black dots. You can put a welder tip from a mig welder it’s made of copper. Get the hole down to the size of those dots.......Have two of them one on either side of the copper tubing. That’s all the gas that needs to go to your motor. It’s called an orifice. I started off doing that. But it got stopped up with a grain of sand. On a busy highway so I switched over to needle valves.
    Think how small the injectors are. And they’re cutting off and on all the time. if it’s the size of those dots with 80 pound vapor blowing through will keep the car running.
    This works on a five speed car. If you have a CVT transmission when the car burn less gas the transmission goes into a lower range so you don’t see the savings.You also have to have a lean burn ECU.
    My system makes the lean burn ECU system way more efficient.

    This gives you the raw gas needed to cold start and will automatically become a vapor machine as the exauhst gas pass through the fins and begins vaporizing the raw gas into vapor.

    Pogue's carb did work in its time, the gasoline then was called well head gas, and was usually collected by evaporation so the molecular chains were relatively short. Todays gas contains roughly 5000 different length molecular chains some of which will not vaporize till 440 degrees, so if even part vaporizes and runs the vehicle, eventually the heavier chains will coat the inside of the heat exchanger and insolate it, steadily reducing effiency , till it no longer works.

      Hey that's neat to know. I've heard something similar, but it was that the oil companies did additives so that gas wouldn't evap as easily. 2 reasons possible: make gas less explosive for safety and to render pogue type carbs obsolete. I'm unsure what the truth is about these. But I think the 2 french compressed air cars invented recently make pogue carbs look boring.

But I do believe you can greatly increase fuel mileage running on fuel vapor only.

    2 problems. You don't need an overly complex design of a carburator you could just use a propane gas design. Then, if you recycle the exhaust gasses to heat up the gas+ oxygen mixture they ignite... You don't want them to ignite until they are at the piston chamber.

    I've been told there is a 300 mile potential in 1 gal of gas, and we don't even use 10% of the fuel that goes through the engine. I haven't taken the time to run any numbers, but I'm sure we are not using much of the fuel that runs through the engine. I was nationally certified in automotive tune-up in the 70's, and believe me there was a lot wild stories flying around about fuel mileage in that era. YOUR driving habits and vehicle maintenance is the average persons best bet. My barber told me once that he had bought all the gadgets that were on the market at that time, and put them on his car. Drove about 30 miles to Birmingham... said he had to stop twice and drain gas out of his tank!!!! Y'ALL have a great day in the "LORD". =)

    As a person who has worked on fuel islands and has spent much of his life in class 1 division 1 areas, I can attest that even with pure fumes, as in NO droplets and 100% evaporated gasoline, it must be at 14:1 to ignite and flash over. Much if the time, the vapors I would deal with were WAY over 14:1 and thank goodness! Won't burn unless it's JUST RIGHT

    • @paradiselost9946

      yep. ok, can push to 17:1, but ignition becomes erratic.
      and nothing detracts from the way an engine works. heat air up rapidly with combustion, and use the subsequent rise in pressure due to that heat produced.
      most of the snake oil requires that the general populace has no idea how an engine works.

    Pogue stated in an interview that the Air and Fuel were not heated together. The spiral heating chamber only heats fuel! Then the clouds of headed fuel vapors spill into the air intake when a valve opens. The heated fuel has positive pressure, and the intake has negative pressure. No air can go into the spiral chamber that's very important!

ABOUT ExhaustGasTemps: War time ice engines on airplanes were allowed to run lean, and the truth back from them is that the EGT goes high as you lean the mix, but then surprisingly goes lower as it gets to max lean ? ... Interesting, eliminates the valve burn issue, one guy actually used a monoxide detector in the tail pipe, no alarm went off , he says as one of you did that the gas burns so completely that its actually safe to breath the exhaust (not recommended of course) but just to say, yeah it works...

      @@allandulles7108 Yeah, i forgot what i posted, but the gist is that yeah a long time ago like ww2, when pilots were low on fuel they could lean the mixture, so they could make it back home, info i heard was that at first the ExhaustGasTemp EGT would go up, but with more and more leaning", it would then go back down,, WOW so that means the vapor fuel idea would work. BUT also you should heat the gas with either exhaust gas in the tank (thru airtight tubes ) or with radiator fluid in tubes (2 or 3 heater cores should work great), in this way you can get the gas to vaporize alot more fully and get it to where the Exhaust won't even set off a monoxide detector... i was going to try, but so many are already on it, i thought i would just advise them that the EGT is not an issue as most thought. I still want someone to tell us the increased efficiency in mpg at 65mph? please tell us if you know it.

    Use this, pressurize the gas tank (Air compressor),use small fuel lines(5/16) add a flash arrestor before the opening top engine.Remove fuel filter (to much resistance)Then your good to go .
    Pressure inside the tank will automatically push fumes into the engine in hot climates stacking the fuel vapor upon startup.Ensure the liquid fuel never leaves the tank is the ultimate goal....or this whole system would be worthless.(The bong method)
    Cleaner burn,less carbon build up.
    Smaller lines mean faster fuel movement.

    Can anyone know (answer) would LPG vaporizers work as a fuel vaporizer ... ? I mean , Lpg is getting in as a liquid fuel and then it vaporize in fume and to a intake ... Lpg vaporizers already have intake for engine cooling system sooo ... just saying ... maybe ...

    • @nsrhpi
      @nsrhpi 6 років тому

      Lpg got a lower boiling point (-42°C) then gasoline. So if it gets released in atmospheric pressure it wil vaporise instantly. Thats why lpg vaporisers work for lpg. and you cant use it for gasoline becus the boiling point is mutch higher. Unless you heat the lpg carburator to high temps then it can work for gasoline as wel. I hope my answer helps you.

    • @TheZemun
      @TheZemun 6 років тому +2

      Thanks for your answer , it helped . I see ... So , in that case , with little modification of Lpg vaporizer it can be used to "warm up" the gasoline before entering next ("hotter") chamber and finally be vaporized...

    Hi John, just spotted this only now, so sorry for the late response.
    I very much believe in the Pogue high mileage carburetor!
    His system obviously reflects the technology of that era.
    It was difficult to understand your explanations of your system, but I seem to understand that fuel vapors travel through the spirals in the 2 cannisters and these canister are mounted in a box through which hot exhaust passes.
    It seems to me that the Pogue carburetor has 2 spirals in each cannister, thus creating 2 separate spiral shaped chambers, one for fuel vapor and the other for hot exhaust fumes to flow through and the heat exchange happened between the spiral wall separating the two gasses. The design you are pursuing is in that sense very different from Charles Pogue's plans and heat exchange - and vaporization - is likely to be very different!
    Not intended as critique, but hope this may help you in your endeavors to achieve your goals.
    How far have yo come until now? Any updates or progress reports?

    It's true, pure vapor gasoline systems(carburetor) do give 100 plus mpg even in v8 engines, or at least double your mpg(easy). Just pure vapor inject, change to much smaller carb.jets. Of course also use free flowing exhaust, higher compression, high energy ignition etc. Etc. There is much literature and methods on this. I don't think it works very well on fuel injection unless you find a way of radically leaning out/reprogramming the EFI system. (but it can be done, example- reprogram, or "fool" the computer into running leaner using adjusted sensor inputs etc., then use pure gas vapor injection). Plus, it will melt your catalytic converter - the pure lean burn is just too hot- that's why the factory won't do this. But, if it's an older car with a carburetor and no catalyst, it works quite well if your engine cooling system (maybe an oversized radiator etc. )is in good shape.

      Vapors are all that burn anyhow, it would be more like 5x more efficient vapors burning compared to liquid fuel. All carburetors do is regulate the amount of fuel used. I saw a 200cfm (motorcycle) carburetor with a big filter being used before the turbo directly mounted onto the intake manifold on a 350ci. engine. As long as you have enough fuel before power loss (my guess is 73.5/1 air/vapor fuel) it matters little how it gets in the combustion chambers. Although, direct injection would be best. It wouldn't be too hot as there would be less waste being heated (fire from tale pipe is also waste). There are many methods to prevent pre-detonation. To name a few deeper dished pistons, hotter camshaft, higher octane fuel, methanol is also a better mix than ethanol, thicker gaskets on intake manifolds, shorter rods, lower ignition timing, and yes, intercooling/more engine cooling would also help.

    A 95:1 or 100:1 A/F ratio would cause your motor to run extremely hot. Maybe for this to become mainstream we need to build a motor that can take the heat?

    • @nonyabusinesss3025
      @nonyabusinesss3025 3 роки тому

      Maybe not, less waste is less heat. 73.5/1 air/vapor fuel particles is 5X the 14.7/1 liquid fuel standard and exhaust wouldn't really have much smell. Besides the heat argument, with all due respect just alter the octane detonation point to a lower number, that's easy. Deeper dished pistons, thicker head gaskets, higher octane fuel, intercoolers, that's an easy one. I didn't even mention Methanol. You can grow that stuff and it's awesome.

      Weak mixtures only run hot because the flame front is slower causing burn to be completed well after TDC. Advancing ignition timing will improve this scenario. Due to much more even air/fuel mixture, vaporised fuel should burn more quickly than standard droplets.
