Just wait until the autos start rubbing off on the card it’s facing. Happens all of the time in the older Prizm. Pull a high dollar auto 10 years from now and half of it has rubbed off on another card.

Rough checklist brutal hit rate and smoked surfsce damage out of the pack. The more chrome update changes the more it stays the same. RIP to your dollars 94% of buyers of this sealed product.
I think they should just open the whole boxes and compare the three best cards, I would prefer that, just my vote

It seems the box value out of this $500 plus venture is about 25% of that. There was almost nothing FUN about either box. Definitely does not make me want to go out and buy a hobby box :-)

Picked up 2 Hobby boxes from Midwest Cards. Did not pull the patch but one of the best boxes I have opened. I just posted the video.

I DO enjoy watching breaks. But I’m telling you….. it’s always better to just find the kid that got the hit and pay 5x more for the EXACT CARD you’d like to “invest” in.
So many people are gambling to open up these card boxes and then when you do even hit the good autograph refractor, it’s most likely by a guy you didn’t want anyway. So not only are you giving yourself like a 1% chance of hitting a good card, you get like a 1% chance of the 1% hit card that you actually wanted in good condition. 😂😂😂😂😂
I officially retired breaking boxes after the 30th box. I actually hit the card I wanted, and it wasn’t even in mint condition fresh out the pack. So even if you hit the 1% of the 1%, what are the chances it’s in mint condition and centered? Exactly.
Just go buy the damn card you want on the open market. If the card you like is a great investment, you’ll still 5X the card, even though you paid 5X to the breaker.
Trying to 100x a card is 95% of people in the hobby’s downfall.
Have a long-term plan and stop wasting dollars.
Every box you open and miss on…. negates the dollars from the few good boxes you’ve opened.
Once you do the math on that. You’ll stop being a gambler, and you’ll eventually become a real investor.
These principles work in every asset class. The people who don’t make it long term, are the gamblers. You eventually get wiped out.
The 10% returns each and every year will out compound your few 1,000% returns every time.
Its meant to be fun. I go to the casino for my gambling habits and use the hobby as my investment tool.

I’m wondering where are the chrome version home field Advantage cards at.
Seeing all those factory marks on the top of the cards is pretty dissapointing - poor QC. Guessing it comes from the rollers that feed the card sheets through the machines. Even a rare card with those marks would grade very poorly.
Topps doesn't care about quality control as the cards are printed in foreign countries now!! Funny that when the cards were produced in the USA, the cards and boxes were cheaper!!! Just pure greed as the Topps Americana image is not made in America anymore... This is one reason I don't collect the new stuff anymore... The hobby has turned into a vicious gambling lottery with mass production!!!!! It's funny how Geoff actually thinks they are going to pull a one of the 1/1 debut rookie Patch in this video... The odds must be incredibly hostile...

Imagine buying wander cards a week before it happened. What’s crazy is people were still buying them at like 50ish% what they were.

That’s every Topps Chrome auto every year. 75% of the autos are relief pitchers, 24% are position players that played 2 games the year before and are now playing in Double A never to return to the majors. 1% may be worth more than $20.
I don’t know if I’m going to purchase the box. It depends if they sent you all the good cards upon your request.
