wait...people are actually complaining about the fact that these are handmade boards? CNC is more precise, but hand-making it gives you a ton of options. It's also nice to know that someone else put their time into making you a beautiful board. Admittedly shortboards are pretty uniform but custom longboards...absolutely beautiful. I could never own a mass produced lonboard.
I'm no expert, but I have a hard time believing skateboards are made with this much detail on a mass scale. If so they're definitely worth every penny.
After watching the amount of precision that goes into DSM decks (Rodney Mullen's), and then these hand made ones.. I dono if I'll ever by handmade again..
I feel exactly the same. I was actually enjoying the video till I saw the "everything has a design and a designer. So do you," and i legit had to close my computer.
Just because there not top of the line brands dosent mean there made cheap. Theres a lot of companys that make great boards and are underground such as bloodwizard, lifeblood, bacon, merde, unheard, consolidate, darkstar, loser machine, elephant brand, lurkville, mini logo, and ect.
You have to design the machines in which you design the skateboards, then you have to design the pieces that will fit in the machine then....ILLUMINATI
hey guys, thought i'd answer some questions. to get glue other than titebond, you need a hazmat license. the catalysts the pro companies use require that. and they arent cheap. that glue is 120$ to do 30 decks. The wood they use you wont be able to afford unless you buy a truckload. a truckload can be anywhere from $60,000USD to $80,000USD. If you dont get a truckload, your wood price per deck is about 22$. plus glue $6/deck. so thats 28$ without other costs. not cost effective to do.
hand screened graphics leave smear streaks when you do boardslides and look totally badass, but doing more than 2 colors takes a lot of skill and time. heat transfer graphics tend to chip, flake off and look shitty but are super fast and easy to do.
@BlackGab10417 ehhh lol, i don't know if i have to be honest.. maybe because of the wood is cheap because my little brother has one of them u know the cheap boards and it snaps so easily i landed a kickflip on one and it snapped. i think there cheap because they have less layers and there a easily made product like you get xbox which is like £100 maybe $150 idk im not from America and then you get those really cheap random consoles which in england would be from £15 to £50.
as it is called the heat roller to the printing of the skateboard. also like to know what kind of paper is used for such impressions. I appreciate that information.

The skateboard has a designer and so do you is not a bad comment. No one has proof one way or the other, so it is unwise to rule it out. As for the workmanship, sure it isn't milled out by CNC so one COULD complain about their lack of modernism IF that is all that you are looking for in a skateboard. On the other hand, making decks 1 by 1 allows the worker to pay FAR more attention to detail and the end result is a better board due to being able to spot manufacturing flaws before they reach you
this method of manufacture will still be used by small independant companys who dont have a huge supply need. bigger companies use a more automated process then the one u can see in this video
@xXxLEW1SxXx yeah man wood working is hard stuff and expensive especially if youre hiring people with the proper skills. gives you a bigger respect for your boards i bet too.
Hello everyone I was wondering how do I get into power comtat with you I'm from Brazil and Stockholm wanting fonecedor of shape and I liked the work you guys on video
You will never get a blank that will feel or ride right. You should be able to get blanks at any skate store, they will be branded but if you put a regular board over it, you'll notice the tail and nose bends wont ever match a board you like. If you do find one your lucky, it will be cheaper.
a lot of people probly dident watch all of that but i did thats very interesting and good thanks for putting that in my mind thats why ima like subscribe and give it a veiw :D
funny thing ummmmm the glue does not take 2 weeks to dry i make some of my own boards to ride i use ultra strong glue and it says it take's 24 to 48 hours to dry fully
that escalated quickly
This gives me new respect for my skateboard. This seems like a super long process, and nice hand crafting.
Seing brand new decks like these makes me happy
That’s sooo coool! It’s like making fingerboards except it’s a ultra huge mold!

Yeah its called DNA homie!
I love that they're still handmade
Wow, Nice. That clever little analogy at the end ruined the whole video.
Nothing wrong by putting some truth in it 😁
Aww snowflake
@@stephan1313 Did it hurt your feelings snowflake?
My board once had the the graphic the wrong way round.
JubbLaTV Yeah, I don't know whether it was a faulty machine or sticker, but the board was inverted. It was a real BTW
Skate 3 already taught me this.
The thing at the end ruined it for me
i smiled when i saw it was an A Third Foot board. fav company by far
I love the designs of these skates
I love videos and programs that show us how the things are made...
"your skate has a design, and a designer" :)
he cuts it so perfect!
...and then you get mad you can't land a trick and throw your board in the river.
Digital Grove i'm not lying, and why should i lie, this happened to me!!!
I'm no expert, but I have a hard time believing skateboards are made with this much detail on a mass scale. If so they're definitely worth every penny.

we got to respect these guys work.
i've always wanted to make my own boards but i just need to do some research on what i need to start . its been my dream to do this .
you had me entirely, then you brought your god into it and i'm out.
I feel exactly the same. I was actually enjoying the video till I saw the "everything has a design and a designer. So do you," and i legit had to close my computer.

I love the last part about how we have an intelligent creator.
Who knows the name of the device, which they round is upper deck edge? He is shown with 3 minutes 37 seconds th!
skate 3 still makes me want to eat the glue ( the intro is sooo good)
Where can I work at to make skateboards? Meaning where is a place that makes skateboards so I can go there.
The guy at 3:00 has a very steady hand. Kudos!
hmm that some hard work and neat product. maybe those people who break their skateboards from anger should watch this
I've never seen a video of someone making something that's so entertaining. :o
I think is quite impresing how they cut the board without any guide in that saw!
Randy Molen freaking genius!
Do i have a design and a disgner?:O God?
So this whole video is to "prove" god exists.

i really like the end!
Didn't expect this whole thing ended with a god message...
If i had a factory like this, i think i would make millions with it!!!
>:)
Cool i didnt know u put on the graphic like that i thot they spray painted it
@Noely1001 its called heat transfer paper. Its very similar to iron on designs,
This is pro. dude, congratulations for your work, someday i'd love to make a brand for a skateboard line :)
@nyskate08 .. don't think so. cheap boards are pressed with multiple decks at a time, and have less convave.
were can i purchese such mechinary from,, i wanna start a skateboard factory in my country,, getting skateboards imported has became hall
hand screened graphics leave smear streaks when you do boardslides and look totally badass, but doing more than 2 colors takes a lot of skill and time. heat transfer graphics tend to chip, flake off and look shitty but are super fast and easy to do.
thats pretty cool, i'd like to know what kind of material they used for the graphics, way easier than paintin it by hand lol
i like what you did there at the end....
That vid is so cool lol that explains why the decks cost so much cause i always wondred why they cost alot for just a piece of wood XD
And learn when to shut your mouth when it needs to be have. So have a good life and I wish you the best no matter what.
-your god loving friend,
Matt
Very cool video. Now that is some skilled labor. I saw another video where the process was a lot more automated. Come get some Catspit~!
@BlackGab10417 ehhh lol, i don't know if i have to be honest.. maybe because of the wood is cheap because my little brother has one of them u know the cheap boards and it snaps so easily i landed a kickflip on one and it snapped. i think there cheap because they have less layers and there a easily made product like you get xbox which is like £100 maybe $150 idk im not from America and then you get those really cheap random consoles which in england would be from £15 to £50.
this guy has gracious maneuvers
@MrNinjaboy01 you kinda build a resistance to splinters, over time. Not something a woodworker would worry about.
as it is called the heat roller to the printing of the skateboard. also like to know what kind of paper is used for such impressions. I appreciate that information.
man thats ausome i wish i could make my own boards

so, what are the machines I need to have a decent workshop?

Cheap boards use cheap heavy easy to brake wood. Good branded boards use strong light flexible wood. Thats what differ them.
My designer is my mother!
preach it dude Jesus love you!!
this is the best invent ever
The ones at big lots are better than the POS we used to buy in the shops in the 80s.
That is awesome :d
@nyskate08 no didnt you see how much time they put in the boards
Hello, great work, which glue kept silent uses?
4:07 it goes with the music
i saw that same board design on a skateboard in Target,
es un trabajo muy bonito y expectacular
@xXxLEW1SxXx yeah man wood working is hard stuff and expensive especially if youre hiring people with the proper skills. gives you a bigger respect for your boards i bet too.
@jackisasnowboarder You can see a faint black line where they follow it with the saw.
Love this song man!
2:50 omg the skill to keep it on the line
Just perfect! merci beaucoup!
oh dam imagining having ur hand stuck in that press... oh dam!
this skate video is a message brought to you by god
hey this was 2 years ago! is this still how they make skateboards?
cant wait to make my own
it's industrail glue it takes forever to dry and most big sk8 companies do their stuff by hand and only some shit by machine's
how to make a walmart board:
take birch bark from a tree paint it put aluminon trucks on it put wax weels
Go to 6:24 and watch until the very end, read all the text.
i thought you should never stack the boards on top of eachother in the drying process, itt makes the bottom boards flat...
Hello everyone I was wondering how do I get into power comtat with you I'm from Brazil and Stockholm wanting fonecedor of shape and I liked the work you guys on video
woah WTF? was that a random off color god reference at the end??? THAT was unexpected.
awesome video~!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO

My uncle made a longboard which is wayyyyyyyy harder to make and It rides great
What sites it take to have a Jon like this..
Wow, does the glue take two weeks to dry?
Apperently yes
funny thing ummmmm the glue does not take 2 weeks to dry i make some of my own boards to ride i use ultra strong glue and it says it take's 24 to 48 hours to dry fully
This is an art form, just like how skating is itself. Awesome video! ;)
Very Nice !
I just snapped mine because I knew I was getting one the week later.
So correct we do have a designer!
thanks for sharing this i love it¡¡¡
