You have such a sharp eye it is amazing. I try to spot the stone you will choose but miss it every time. I must say those puppies make your adventures more fun to watch. Thanks for your great videos!
The pups have to come with every time😄 they love it as much as i do!😁 and they definitely stand out more in person, the camera can kinda make everything blend in a bit more then they do in person😅
Wow! Just one beautiful find after another! Those blue agates are just gorgeous! Love the Jaspers, and that petrified wood with agate bands! That big agate was a nice surprise, can’t wait to see you cut that! Amazing finds, thanks for taking us along Theo, and stay cool!!
That blue is so pretty😄 i think i need to leave that one as intact as i can; my gut reaction was to cut it but i think itd be prettier if we just polished the whole thing!😄
What! That’s a honey hole if I’ve ever seen one! I’m in awe and lil bit jealous 🤣. Gorgeousness! Awesome Video! Can’t wait to see the white coated agate, cut. I love to see what’s inside. I cut open everything. 🤣🤣🤣
Wow, what great agates. I like te agate that has a triangle in it and the small red agate with the small cored bits in it. They were all awesome. Be happy, safe and stay healthy 😷⚒
Looks like you had a most amazing day. The finds are stunning and it’s so difficult to chose a favourite. Awesome video Theo. Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!!!
We got a bit spoiled in this one😄 gotta love days when you keep finding good ones! Also helps when you have a lot of time to kill and can spend a good deal of time scouring😅 thanks so much for watching!😄
Just want to say it finally occured to me Why I like watching Theo (and and a couple other rockhounds that are my favorites, like Rookie Rockhound in Aus): he seems like such a genuinely kind person and is always So excited about, and appreciative for, his many many many amazing finds. If I watch someone else rockhound and they dont have those qualities then I admit I feel pretty much just jealous the whole time I'm watching, bc I wish I could be out there hounding and atm I cant- plus while my area is good, it is not Montana. But when Theo finds something awesome I feel happy for him same as I would for a friend, bc he is such a real dude! Just the way he treats his fur babies and his partner it's obvious. Just thought I'd share this realization of Why I love these videos So much!😁
That bright blue one at about 7:06 may have been small, but the color was astounding. A good day indeed, Theo. Most of those pieces were just sick..... in a very good way.
I love all the stones you find. I enjoy the Moss Agates and the amazing colors of the Jaspers. I have been finding a lot of Green, Yellow, and Red Jaspers, and most are single colors. But I have a couple of mixed Jaspers. I have not found a place with Agates as yet. I have only started collecting in the past few months of 2022. I am enjoying myself with the search and finds so far.
They're all so beautiful. My favorite is the Jasper Agate. The Agatized wood is super cool and I like the color of the Montana Agate. Great finds Theo!
Love that blue agate with the lines. That one is spectacular. Just polish it as a specimen. You did great on your rock hunt. I would love to have a shot at purchasing that one if you plan to sell it.
Really love you rock hunting videos. Beautiful finds❤️❤️❤️ it would be awesome to go hunting on that river in the rain, everything would shine. That would make for a great video 😂😂
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Thank you for letting a weak old woman feel the joy of rockhounding! Oh...the beauty! Oh...the thrill!
Please don't ask me to pick a favourite. They are all so beautiful. We don't have agate or jasper like that here in Australia. Drooooool! Can't wait till you cut these beauties.
Well, I think you outdid yourself again! I guess 6 hours on the river was well worth it! Can't wait to see some of those cut or sliced. I hope you take food on those long hunts!😊
I love the blue and green colors you find. We do not get that in Missouri. Blue anything is rare and green is pretty much unheard of. I have yet to see any green anything in a rock here! Ive found TONS of green rocks but it always washes off 🤣
Theo, I'd not cut that big agate. I'd surface polish that beautiful lady. With one of those car buffers. Knock the rind down and polish her. Such a beautiful bit.
gotta love that, nother crazy haul. loved the adventure/vid Theo, watched it on the TV as my 89 yr ol' Mum enjoys your adventures as well, she loves that blue banded agate(don't blame her). l'm curious as to what's inside that monster agate with the white on the outside, l'd cut it...but not open, l'd cut/trim the outside off at random angles, more or less random faceting an polish it up. lookin' forward ta what ya do with it.
Also that one that you can't quite figure out, I think it could actually be agatized petrified wood, just most of the wood has worn away...I've found some similar pieces...much smaller tho. Anyhoo, it's freakin' awesome!
The piece that has you stumped 16:20 looks to me like highly agatized palm wood, but maybe im wrong? You found too many cool rocks Theo, that should be illegal to get away with that much loot!!!
Theo! Another great video! Loved everything you found. Absolutely beautiful rocks. At 4:28 when you found that great agate, down and to your right there was a light\bright blue rock. Was that an agate? Can't wait for the next one!
I watched this but never found your mystery rock cut what did you find out and do you have a video on the cut of this Beautiful Rock All are just phenomenal
NOOOO!!! DON'T cut the big blue agate with the lines!!! It's SOOO BEAUTIFUL just the way it is!!! Maybe you could polish it instead. LOVE your channel!!!
Dont worry!😄 the more i look at it the more i come to the conclusion that "big blue" is safe!😄 we may free form polish the whole thing though! It would look so beautiul with a polish but i dont have the heart to cut it😁
Very high quality pieces! But please tell me the large grey-blue looking stone just to the right of center of the frame at 9:47 isn't an agate. I won't be able to sleep if there is a possibility that it is and it's still out there! :D As to which is the favorite, I'm going to reserve that judgement until i see that giant one cut open. I have a feeling that's going to be a piece of art work!
I want to come hounding with you! Have a question, I live in Arizona, where the Petrified Forest is. Petrified wood is protected out here unless you're on private property and have permission. Why is that not the case in Montana and perhaps other areas? I'm all for protecting our natural heritage, but picking up a few pieces would be so cool too! Thanks for the great videos, my husband can always tell when I'm watching your channel as I get just as excited about your finds as you do! Can't wait to see these cut!
In Montana, anything below the waterline is public land. The Yellowstone river stretches nearly 700 miles. It is not legal to collect rocks from Yellowstone National Park but any public land is legal (I believe there is a non-enforced limit of 250 pounds per day limit). You should have a conservation license if you are enjoying the public lands and collecting though
I just found your channel recently so I apologize if you have already done a video like this but if not would you tell us what some of the other rocks are on the beaches you walk? Love your videos by the way I would love to walk those beaches one of these days!
All that rocks. Do you get spiders near the river sometime? There’s so many spiders in near the rivers, like if you step on the ground atleast 1 spider is gonna run out
Well Theo, you'd better Cut that big one & put it up for us to see asap! Cause the suspense is unbearable! This is your best episode yet, it's nice to see you relaxed & sharing your enthusiasm with the world! GOOD JOB!!! 😁🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
Hey Theo, do you do most of your hounding East or West of Billings on the Yellowstone River? Trying to narrow down a few stopping points on our upcoming trip....just a general area, I know you cant give away your best locations lol.
I was so blown away with these beauties. Such great finds. Can't wait to see the cutting video. How do you pick a favorite? Maybe that little jasper that was just so wild looking. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much!😄 and the cutting video will be out soon!😄 gotta love those yellowstone river jaspers; just so much variation in color on those beauties😁
I am coming to MT, Billings, bozeman, Kalispell, whitefish, glacier, yellowstone and obsessed with agates. Are there any guided tours for mom and myself or kyak for myself to search for treasures?. Have tools, spray bottle etc. Leave from chicago 8/24 , yellowstone river, billings end of month and all of sept, help
Could the real weird looking one be agatised marine reptile or dino bone/gembone? The texture looks similiar to some of the neogene fossil whale bone ive got
montana agates are weird; some of the most fantastically banded agates youll ever find on the yellowstone look perfectly clear beforehand. Ive cut A LOT of clears and Ive never cut a clear one that didn't have banding or moss, and considering the definition of agate is "banded chalcedony" it is not inaccurate at all to refer to the clears as agates, not chalcedony. They only look clear until you cut them👍
What a great day in nature, getting some exercise, walking the dogs AND finding a bunch of amazing rocks. Life is good! ❤️💥❤️
Dear Theo You my friend are living the dream..Paid to find rocks and paid to sell em...I admire you sir...Keep it going...Thku
You have such a sharp eye it is amazing. I try to spot the stone you will choose but miss it every time. I must say those puppies make your adventures more fun to watch. Thanks for your great videos!

My goodness Theo, you have found a lot of beautiful stuff. I would say it's hard to pick a favorite because there all are awesome
Jtv jewel school tourtorals
No shortage of options in this one!😄 thanks so much for watching!
Holy! You cleaned up! That little square-ish blue one, crazy colour! I actually thought it was glass or plastic at first.💙
That blue is so pretty😄 i think i need to leave that one as intact as i can; my gut reaction was to cut it but i think itd be prettier if we just polished the whole thing!😄
Love that I can here the tumbler in the background

You and me both!!😁 i have NO idea what we might find in that one
Same, gonna be a wonderful plume agate
I am definitely looking forward to seeing that BIG milky/white-spotted agate sliced. I think you are going to pull some beauty slabs from that baby!
I think that one weird looking one could be a piece of agatized fossil bone maybe. I dunno... Definitely some very cool finds! 💎👀💪💯
Some great finds my man🍻
Theo! Those agates...wow...
I love finding out how other people talk to themselves/inanimate objects. It's so nice to know I'm not the only person who asks a rock "what are you?"
I’m think my daughter and I are headed to the river real soon, amazing agates!
Looking forward to slabbing time for revealing the guts of those treasures!

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Thank you for letting a weak old woman feel the joy of rockhounding! Oh...the beauty! Oh...the thrill!

east of billings is better, the farther west you go the less agates youll find for some reason😄
Cutting vid when
I was so blown away with these beauties.
Definitely, mostly all I find here in Michigan is reds and some yellows. No greens.

Looks like Yellowstone river never "dries out" from beutiful rocks??? :-)
what do you mean by description? I can't find any links or don't know where to look for them! Help!!!
May I ask what a TSA is?
The one @ 16:20 might be an agatized brachiopod.
I carry a screw driver with me to pry those deeper rocks up.
a flower moss agate???
:)
Calling every translucent rock an agate isn't wrong but it's not totally right either
montana agates are weird; some of the most fantastically banded agates youll ever find on the yellowstone look perfectly clear beforehand.
