Like you, I was with a man the majority of my 20’s (24-30) who was cheating on me the last 2 yrs (of our rel) with his co-worker….Now they’re married 🙄 14 yrs later & I'm still not completely over it. So hurtful 💔
So many thoughts so little time lol but damn, I remember YEARS after my toxic relationship, I would still cry about it. And not because of all the terrible shit that this terrible person did but because it broke my heart to think of who I was back then, the lack of self-esteem and self respect and that totally lost and naive version of me. It was really hard to find that grace to forgive myself for staying in something so unhealthy. Love these Saturday morning chats. Thank you as always for sharing, Sam💖
I have learned that it is okay to talk about what they did to you. It doesn’t matter how they feel about it. If they wanted people to think they were a good person, they should have been a good person.
I can't wait for you to find your forever love because you're such an amazing human being!!! Now that you're healing you will begin to attract others who are healing as well. There's nothing wrong with taking time to heal. You deserve the very best and I hope you honestly receive that and believe it!!!!! So do the work you need to do within yourself so you can be whole and healed! He is definitely out there and I'm sure he'll find you soon !!!!❤❤

I lost it at “get a flashlight or a fl3shl!ght” oh my god Sam you’re hilarious 😂 In all seriousness, given your experiences I can totally see why this would be hard to watch. Your humour to cope with the trauma and darkness is so relatable. ❤
I never been through any relationship things like you have but I have had childhood trauma and they way you were talking is so therapeutic to me I even subscribe to your podcast after this video ❤
Ooooo I love this! I’d love a weekly Saturday morning chat. Selfishly speaking. When a friend of mine told me he had cheated on the past, his words were “I’ve had indisgressions”. I’m sorry? Pardon? Indisgression? No. That was an action you chose that has the potential to devastate a woman for life. And his excuse was he had a higher sex drive than his wife so instead of bothering her he takes care of it himself. Dude. Maybe try a conversation and therapy with your wife. There’s a reason she’s not matching your intimacy. When men cheat its a sex excuse. When women cheat we are ungrateful sluts. I’m getting spicy over here Samantha! I also have a friend that o know her husband has cheated and likely still is. I also know he’s made moves on me. She’s a lovely woman. I don’t know what to do. Do I tell her that he’s an asshole and talks behind her back about her? I think she’s fully aware he’s an asshole. There’s seems to be a thing that if you’re the one who shares the news, you’re also the villain 😢 She doesn’t deserve this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. We need this chat!
Have you by chance read All About Love by bell hooks? Your definition of love as a behavior made me think of that. In the book, hooks make clear distinction between liking, caring for and loving someone. It's a beautiful and healing book, I think everyone should read it at least once.
When you said Sims I perked up 😂 Really enjoyed your take on all this. I got hooked on Vanderpump AFTER this scandal lol. Also I’m so sorry about how your relationship ended 😢 I had no idea. I hope you are thriving!
I’m inclined to think they are vain and want all eyes on them. Nobody deserves to be cheated on so the victim doesn’t deserve blame. I will say that if we decided to get involved with someone who is a know cheater, we should do so with our eyes wide open. Past behavior is the best predicted of future behavior. Love is a motivation more than a feeling.
Hoooooo boy. I was in an abusive relationship with a narcissist for almost 8 years. The stories I could tell! But you know, instead of hurting me in my “fragile state” with my mental health by breaking up with me, he cheated. Except wait, he cheated…the entire relationship. From the first year, long before he ever said he was unhappy. He is now married to the last one, who also knew what he was doing and actively tried to get him to leave me. Except he didn’t. Because narcissists can’t leave the people they’ve manipulated to worship and not be able to live without them. He lied to her and told her he left, while we were still living together and trying to reconcile. I’M the one who left. My bet is he’s been cheating on her the entire time, and she looks the other way like I did, because he conditioned her that way just like he did me. I’ve been out for longer than I was in, and it still messes with my head every now and then even though I’m married to a wonderful man. Thankfully when someone loves you and not just the idea of you, they support you and give you grace and patience. 💜
I believe you forgot to mention that the young woman who Tom cheated with (Raquel) was also a friend of Ariana, Tom’s partner. Apparently she continues to try and act like Ariana’s friend even after the explosive confrontation at the Reunion shows.
My ex cheated on me emotionally and physically with a DOPPELGANGER. Will probably be traumatized for the rest of my life. I did everything he wanted. I wish I could make up a logical excuse.
