  • Always center your model art! What I thought was going to be a simple update for my VTuber model ended up spiraling into a complete overhaul and forced me to actually learn how to use Live2D Cubism and VTube Studio. Wouldn't trade it for the world, but I think I got a few grey hairs out of this adventure. To the people who are actually good at using these programs and creating rigs, I love and admire you.

Hey you did a really good job! And for only 100 twitch followers that sort of stuff really shows the drive you have to both entertain and push your content/work
    It's really inspiring!

I’m planning on making one for the first time and I know how long it takes for rigging. I hope I can save up money to get everything I need so I won’t be using an old laptop that needs to be plugged in constantly.

Good luck! Having the right hardware goes a long way, but even some older laptops can run the programs alright. Rigging can be really daunting, especially for your first time. You can always try something small to get the feel for it. My very first model attempt was literally a circle, two eyes, and a mouth that barely opened. Not pretty, but a good way to break into Live2D without the stress of a full model. Hope you have fun with it!

I actually just made one a few days ago, you can find it on my twitch page! It's a bit more game/streaming-focused, but you're totally welcome to join and I'm always down to talk about vtubing things! I've found hanging out on other vtuber streams is a fantastic way to make friends too. Best of luck on your vtubing journey, you're in for a wonderful ride!

AHH thank you so much! My model got so much better by using your tutorials, the old version looks like cardboard compared to it 😆 Thanks for creating so many wonderful resources for the vtubing community, you're awesome!!
