Ikr! I'm usually not a fan of singers doing lalala or dabababadam but here I just can't help but sing along to it, it sounds so great thanks to the catchy melody and I love that all 6 of them got their own shot for a few seconds

Isn't it annoying that Greece and Cyprus did so-so in Eurovision (Top 5, as the best result) when they took part with great, authentic songs like "I anixi", "Olou to kosmu i elpidha", "Teriazume", "Ellada, hora tu fotos", "Ime anthropos ki ego", "Horepse", "Mana mou", "Pia prosefhi", "Tha ne' erotas", "Nomiza"... but they got far better results with cheap, shallow songs in like "Shake it", "Alcohol is Free" or "Yassou Maria"?

For me best song fom Cyprus ,from 1981-2022
A really good opening song for a really strong year! I like the mix of the bouzouki and Eurodance, as well as the celebration of their homeland. It comes together in a vibrant song with an awesome instrumentation. I think if this switched with Mysterious Woman for second place, it would've made for the perfect top five. Also my favorite Cypriot entry after Sti Fotia two years earlier.

But the point of this song is in its lyrics, they sing about our mother and our beautiful eternal love, our Motherland Cyprus with regards to our ancient Greek mythology and the aphrodite and mentioning the Cypriot scenery with the biggest star of our nature the Mediterranean Sea.
However, this particular song ended up in 5th place among 25 countries in Eurovision 1997.

Great song. Nice performance and I feel that this was the first ethnic pop song in the contest. Of coursre I would prefer Andros in the vocals rather than co singer.

I wonder how much of the music is live orchestra vs. pre-recording? In 1997 entries had the option of incorporating playback partially or fully (meaning no live orchestra) into their performance! Great song btw!
The strings and winds were live, while the rythmic part bass, drums was pre-recorded (probably the bouzouki as well)
