Cebu, Philippines ➖ After growing my hair out for a while, it's time to get it back into shape! It had been so long and messy the past few months, so there's no better place to get it fixed up than at a local barbershop here in Cebu. I was greeted by gentlemen and a young boy playing basketball, and we had a great chat whilst I became young again!

I've been to Iloilo once and Manila once, and both times everyone was so nice and polite. If I were to live one place instead of the US, I would definitely live in the Philippines.

That kiddo knows how to entertain customer 😬 good convo and just wow, very generous! That tip is equivalent to 9 more customers. That barber must be so happy 👏🏼👏🏼 Try to learn some of their language. They have different language in Cebu. A must try “LECHON CEBU” 😬 Happy and safe travel Luke!

It is so kind of you giving tips to locals here in the philippines, It's a huge help for them receiving those tips especially this time ( pandemic ) everyone's having a hard time but Filipinos always manage to survive everyday. I'm a huge fan of you. The first time I saw your videos not particularly travelling but I like to help people those who are most in need. honestly rn im currently working on it, Hopefully I will be successful ( not necessarily have to be successful to help others ) I do help other's if I have extra money but soon hopefully. It's different if you have money to help other people, you can provide more. I like your kindness. Please keep it up. That is so inspiring.
The kid had trouble explaining the reason why he doesn’t have school that day. Because there’s still no face-to-face classes in most of the schools (due to covid). He answered ‘module’ 3:45. Meaning the school is giving away booklets that contains specific subjects lessons and quizzes that they need to answer for certain week that they must pass to school. Tho, there’s online classes, it’s optional whether you attend them or take ‘modular’ learning instead in case you don’t have gadgets or proper internet connection. But the number one reason many takes modular learning is because it’s better since it’s up to you whether you want to have work 🤣 unlike online, you’ll need to wake up early to catch the schedule. Anyways, face-to-face classes is coming back this august after 2 years!

Hi luke! When will you come to Mindanao? I recommend you stopping by Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay if you'll go to Zamboanga if any chance. In Imelda, there is a Viente Uno farm which is a spot where you can visit, where you can see the view, go ziplining, and even order coffee! Also here in Imelda there's this long road, we call it "diversion" it's not finished yet but there's access! On "diversion" so can see the view of Imelda's Farms and also the town. Well that's all there's nothing much but yeah. Enjoy your trip! Thank you!

Almost everyone in Cebu understands English. You won't need a translator. If you want the ultimate street food experience, ask the locals where's the nearest pungko pungko (Pronounced as Poonk-koh Poonk-koh), it's all over the place, usually on sidewalks. The majority also works in call centers. I bet your hotel is located in Ayala Business Park, try to go outside at midnight, and you'll see lots of call center agents eating in pungko-pungko spots. Carbon night market also has tons of street foods. You can also try "Tuslob Buwa" or "Larang", they both originated from Cebu, and of course not to forget "Lechon". Enjoy your stay here mate!

Short back and sides basically make up the description of the classic Filipino haircut, the Barber's Cut or 2x3 cut.
I got my hair cut when I was in Cebu and it's so cheap compared to England so it's nice to be able to give a good tip.
