Hello, Luke. Have you tried Taho? Coz I saw the taho vendor around 3:53 - 3:55. The one with the white shirt and yellow pants. Taho is actually made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal, and sago pearl. It taste very sweet and it is everyone's childhood favorite here in the Philippines. Like literally. It is our comfort food when we were younger even up to this day and it is very affordable. You can buy it for only 5php to 20php. Everyday, every morning is taho day 🤣 Hope you can try one. 😊 Btw, i really love your generosity. More blessings to you and takecare, Lukey! 💖

It's really interesting to see someone vlogging around the areas I grew up in and walked by thousands of times. The scenery that I've been so much familiar of being traveled for the first timeets you see a whole new perspective of it.
I used to ride 13C from Talamban to Sanchiangko then walk from there to UC-Allied Engineering bldg and eating banana-q as a meal. Thank you for being kind and generous to my fellow Cebuanos.
Hey Luke, been you subscriber for quiet long now, it is my pass time watching your vlogs and love the way you give smiles and good vibes to people you encounter wherever you are. Maybe you could consider to travel and visit the islands of Leyte and Samar, and learn more about filipino culture and feature more provinces here in the Philippines. God bless you and be safe alwayas brother💪
The name Bananaque or Banana-Q is derived from Barbeque coz it's also on a stick. It's a common snack all over the Philippines. You should try Turon also. It's like spring roll but has that same banana and sugar inside and also fried... Hey Luke, what if there's a cheesy Balut? Would you eat? 🐣😂
Hi Luke ! Following your adventures from France ! Really enjoying it so far ! Just get back from Philippines few weeks ago… Did you plan to go to El Nido ? I would highly recommend it to you ! And would enjoy to see it again on your channel as well :D Enjoy !

The most impressive thing about this episode is that fried bananas, it looks super delicious, the Philippines is amazing! I believe it will be also delicious if you eat it on the same plate with vanilla ice cream, thanks for sharing!👍😄👏
Thank you so much Luke for your kindness and appreciation. A whole day watching your vlogs is always a Good time..Hopefully you can come visit Bantayan Island too beautiful sunset and sunrise and the food/ restaurants- amazing😊 we have a small restaurant at MJ Square called Sarapoi hopefully you can really come.Keepsafe Luke
there are many cities in cebu province. the capital is cebu city, the others are mandaue city, lapulapu city in the island of mactan, toledo city, naga city, carcar city, danao city. i think there are still i have forgotten.
Bananacue has been a trademark of Filipino culture. It is everywhere in The Philippines.❤️ You can also find it in Filipino Restaurants/Food Parks in The US. Loving your vlogs!🇵🇭 It's more fun in the Philippines. And to the person who's reading this, if you're planning to visit the Philippines, TARA NA!!!🙌🏼🤝🏼
That is not the Bananacue. You clearly no nothing about Filipino food culture. The Bananacue is so different from that. The Banana Que is Grilled with Margarine and dusted with White Sugar. its not common anymore. Since Bananas are now too expensive. Filipinos cant eat such snacks anymore.
The long bridge you saw is called CCLex its construction started at around 2018-2019 or so and was scheduled to finish by 2020 but was delay 2 years and was just recently finished like a few months ago, It connects Cordova and Cebu main near SM seaside( a huge mall ) Former President Duterte Approved this project to shorten the travel time from and to Cordova and Cebu main to attract more tourist for the area, and you need a permit and you have to pay a toll fee to pass the bridge for security and stuff unfortunately public transport isnt allowed yet. edit: try the fried peanuts they are delicious especially the spicy one, the sweet ones are good for a snack while doing work
29:09 If in U.S there are BBQ or Barbecue which is Pork, in Phillippines they have Banana Cue that Locally made from Banana. There are lot of Cook in Banana we have Turon or it's a Banana Spring Roll or Banana in a Wrap and Maruya it similar in Banana Cue but it Slice and Pride with Flour and Sugar.
It really warmed my heart when you gave a freaking 1 thousand to the coconut seller! The prices of stuff here have been tough lately and I can imagine the excitement that she probably felt after receiving your tip. You're very awesome Luke! Safe travels!
Hi Luke welcome to Cebu. There are tons of things to do in the city alone before heading to South or North of Cebu. I suggest you should explore the city first. Cebu has the Best of Both Worlds, city and nature! Cebuano is the language of Cebu and it's widely spoken in visayas and mindanao regions, english is also widely spoken in Cebu than any other language. Highly recommended to visit these places such as: the Magellan's Cross, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and the Lapu-lapu Shrine in Mactan hence you'll learn more about the history of Cebu and how did the name Philippines came to be. And check out this famous food market the Sugbo Mercado in IT Park, the Ayala Terraces, the Nustar resort, SM seaside city, Cebu Ocean Park, iL Corso food yard, CCLEX. And then the city's mountains, It is only a 15 to 30-minute ride to get to the mountains of Cebu City from the city center or from downtown colon. The beauty of the bustling city and the mountains of Cebu City are a must-visit before hitting the road for a 2-hour to 4-hour ride to south and north of Cebu Province Island. I suggest you should check out the mountains side or uphills side of Cebu City first, there are tons of beautiful spots up there with breathtaking panoramic view, romantic ambience, very relaxing and delicious food. These famous uphill destinations have taken the internet by storm through its picturesque spots such as: the Taoist temple, Temple of Leah, Sirao Gardens, Little Kyoto, Buwakan ni Alejandra, Tops Lookout, Top of Cebu, La Vie in the sky, Charlie's Cup, Chixboy, transcentral highway, and many more. Cebu lives up to its moniker as "The Gateway to a Thousand Journeys." There isn't a shortage of explorations to do in Cebu. Cebu offers a unique travel experience as it is a place where the city and paradise meet. Enjoy and explore Cebu, The Queen City of the Philippines. The oldest city in the Philippines. Be safe. God bless.
Great video Luke! Hope you enjoyed your stay here in Cebu. I honestly am a huge fan of yours. Felt sad that I wasn’t able to meet you in person while you’re staying here in Cebu, Philippines. Hope you'll comeback here cause I'd be willing to be your tour guide and would definitely bring you and help you out anywhere! would love to tour you around the best places in Cebu. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🤘🏼
Hi Luke! I used to work in Cebu and you should try the famous Pungko - Pungko (Chicharon Bulaklak, Ngohiong, Porkchop - these are all fried but they have a special dipping sauce - it’s the game changer!) also, Siomai sa Tisa and lechon! Enjoy the Philippines, Luke!

You're a genuine person, I can tell, this part when drinking d Fresh coconut 🥥🌴 without the straw demonstrates it, I can only imagine drinking it after your long walk under d hot humid weather
I’m a big fan of you thanks for visiting Philippines even I’m away I really feel home every time Im watching your videos.
I’m a new subscriber and I enjoy your content a lot. I’ve always had fear of traveling and being somewhere I don’t know but your videos are helping me realize that fear may not be justified. Have fun out there dude.
Welcome aboard! But yeah being in a new place is exciting, people here are friendly so I don't get scared 😁
Welcome to the queen city of the south cebu city . My province , Godbless you bro
Yeah Luke...you gotta try Turon but ask for the ones with langka (jackfruit) inside. If you liked bananaque, you'll drool over turon! 😋🥲😘
Oh I gotta find Turon somewhere. And cheesy balut?? I'm not sure 🤣
Yo what? Omg Im a Filipino and has lived in the Philippines for 19 years and just knew that the word Bananaque was from the word barbeque... Omg 💀💀
@@LukeDamant I feel like cheesy balut tastes funky 😂
you're so humble and kind ingat luke
You have good hearts Sir Luke kindness to the coconut vendor.

The most impressive thing about this episode is that fried bananas, it looks super delicious, the Philippines is amazing!
I believe it will be also delicious if you eat it on the same plate with vanilla ice cream, thanks for sharing!👍😄👏
Even with Ketsup..🔥❤️the Best !
@@gerc.4263 👍😄👌
@@gerc.4263 ketsup in the Philippines are made from bananas, so that would be "fried sweet banana on banana ketsup" LOL
Really, like a banana split?

Excellent example of Filipino friendliness from everyone you encountered in this video. 👍🏼 Luke!
That's true!
there are many cities in cebu province. the capital is cebu city, the others are mandaue city, lapulapu city in the island of mactan, toledo city, naga city, carcar city, danao city. i think there are still i have forgotten.
The weather is so beautiful there. Well Mr Damant enjoy!
Good to see you exploring outside Manila 🥳 Hope you get to visit Davao and Tagum too. Keep safe!
Will have to try and visit those spots too
@@LukeDamant would love to see you here! 🥳
Glad I found one 😋 Tara na!!
@@eduardochavacano with or without margarine or fried banana q parin yun lol
Excitement plus confusion. She might think that Luke thought he gave her 100.
I love her reaction as well, I think she's afraid she doesn't have change 😊
Must try also the grilled banana “Ginang-gang” coated with margarine and sprinkled with white sugar.
Its not good to put it inside a plastic bag when its hot because you might be eating melted parts of the plastic which is not good for the body.
Luke, you have a good heart and bot bargaining with local ppl like other youtubers.. god bless you and more success with you YT. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Be safe. God bless.
omg i cannot stress how much anxiety that bananaque scene gave me , i always think its gonna drop off the stick
love your energy traveling alone
Keepsafe Damant enjoy exploring Cebu. Visit some of Cebu's virgin Islands as well
Watched 3-4 vlog of yours in a day. You're a blessing to that woman who sold you coconut. Ingat! 🤗
Fry banana is delicious us spanish ppl eat that but we don't put sugar on just fry it in oil and we don't put it on a stick like that
Famous in cebu is bananaque...
Famous in manila is kwik kwik... Hardboiled egg skewed on barbeque stick. Then dip it in spiced vinegar

You touring around Fort San Pedro brings me back to when I also first visited that historical place. It was in 2015 when I was in College and we had an educational trip there in Cebu.
