Fun short, well done. I loved the moment between Ona and her coach, there's clearly a connection.
watching her underwater with the heavy swimsuit made me short of breathe lol.
Why doesnt this channel has more viewers and attention
UA-cam Suchti The channel is just beginning to be viewed a few days ago but it has good content, if not viewership.
UA-cam Suchti have* lol
Any channel with two million subscribers has a lot of attention.
Fashion and Olympics combined is simply the epitome of what I always needed
god same i didn't know i needed this until now
I don't know how the heck they did moves back then. Those swimmers must have broken into those suits.

Compared to the heavy woolen suits that covered much more of the person's body and had been worn up to the 1920's, these were a vast improvement. Yes by our standards they are heavy and cumbersome but back then they were positively indecent that woman's libs were on display. Shocking!
I agree! So glad that uniforms have been allowed to evolve!!!! Way better in both looks and freedom for movement today! Newer designs I think will bring a broader attention to more sports. The Olympics help bring the world together, so the more range or interest the better.

This is an excellent documentation!
This is very cool!! Definitely continue these tests with other sports! I really enjoyed it!
Why does this not have 1 mil views by now?
Wow she's absolutely gorgeous
I woulld love to see a similar video but with figure skates, although it may be a bit dangerous
These pieces are so interesting!
Chlorine breaks apart or dissolves cotton fibers which clog filter systems in pools. That’s why we weren’t allowed to wear clothes containing the material or fabric during Physical Education or P.E. when I was in high school. May or may not be the same reason why synchronized swimmers no longer, or uncommonly, use it.
Roberto Reyes Nah, they keep on mentioning how heavy the suit is so why wouldn't it be because of that reason?
Definitely not, in sychro any weight at all slows you down and makes doing every thing more difficult (thats why many of them wear weights in the water and when they take them off the task become easier) the reason they probably dont wear cotton any more is most likely that its very hard to move in it. You may not see it but some of those simple moves she was doing she woukd have been able to do 1000 time better with out that suit on.
@@Olivia-nf4zr Roberto Reyes is correct, i swim almost everyday before and if there is someone wearing cotton in the pool they let them out
@@saskia815 I do know about that since I myself work at three different swimming facilities. I just don't think that is the primary reason in this case.
loved this!!!
Why does it say 1920s swimsuit when they show a picture of Esther Williams which was in the 1940s
I wish my suits were as colorful
That was really interesting 😀
I see the water polo goals.🏊🏼♀️🤽🏼♀️
Nice idea however the swim suit is not that accurate - it has far less 'bottom' to it than a swimsuit from the 1940s (Esther Williams period), which gives Ona more movement than Ms Williams would have had.
I want a Synchronized Swimming swimsuit too
How did they swim in those?
Why haven’t they done a gymnastics version of this yet?!
English subtitles PLEASE!
Press cc.
Wait, we have the same name
wow she's trying without nose clip right?
I'm thinking a 20s suit wouldn't be nearly that skimpy through the hips and rear . . .
why not put the translation it would have been nice to know what they are saying?
My last name is Carbone
Left handed
What language do they speak do anyone know?
Joe Zhou Spanish, they're from Spain.
There was also a bit of catalan ona and her trainer, it's a regional language in Spain, from catalonia
This video would have been 1000 times better without the voice over.
Omg barcalona where messi and Neymar was (sorry overhyped)

“...the girls have chosen...”? I don’t se any girls here. I see two women.
Paula Gebhardt direct translation of “chicas” which means young ladies in this context. But translated to English directly it means girls.
My God.... give it a break.
Io faccio nuoto sincronizzato e vi assicuro che non è per niente semplice
I grew up a dancer and was just wondering why they point their toes/feet like that as opposed to a dancer doing a "move". they scrunch their toes, where is a dancer uses her whole foot to point. just curious:)
Well, it’s not really a point. I think my teachers called it a comb. Since there is no floor in sincro, you don’t really need your feet to get support, when I fold it like that the whole leg tenses and it gives very precise control, since it kinda makes the foot “mix” with the leg, eliminating a joint tomhave to control. My teachers did say I had a very pretty comb, but they never really explained why it needs to be pushed that much.
👍
The swimsuit was too skimpy at the bottom. Her backside was showing. That would not happen back then. The real thing would have been heavier.
First thing I noticed.
I agree.
I liked that part, personally.

Awesome sport.
If only without the makeup and that unnecessary walk in walk out routine, then people would enjoy it more.
Make it easier for her to breathe and it might be a great training suit
Awesome body
I kinda feel like she had a biased opinion from the start.. she didn’t seem to be a good sport about it 😕
