Lmao, when I have a project going no one will see me for days. Incredible enclosures, the 'gus will be very pleased! You did an impeccable job, sir. Pubba has an 8x4x6 enclosure inside, he absolutely loves it. He has slept with me every single night of his life, except for what has now been 3 nights (last night was the third!) that he decided to stay in his enclosure!

so...we had to film this with my phone and the audio was really bad and you couldn't hear me at all...so I turned the audio up so you could hear me in the video and it turned up everything.

Wow what a job that was. They look great. All the tegu care vlogs I’ve seen have heat and basking lights. Breeders don’t seem to do this. Do they really need these lights to be healthy?
They do need proper temperatures and uvb to thrive. They do great outside certain times of the year in specific locations. How we have them outside now they dont need any extra lighting.
Did these enclosures end up working ? If so Is there a video on it. I am very interested in this setup for my tegu!

Had to make alot of sacrifices to make all of this work. Not rich by any means, outside of the tegus I teach 5th grade at a outdoor school.

Even though it’s a lot of work, bet you’re still loving every moment. I love building enclosures.
It was starting to get a little old, 16 hour days trying to get them done but I definetly enjoy it, especially putting the logs in and decorating each one.
I could def understand that. I have no where near as much building projects complete as you. Plus I’m not very handy. I’m more of the foreman type. It’s like I can get the job done, but I’m more of a thinker, analyzer, trouble shooter, and could probably delegate tasks according to whatever. I enjoy getting to the bottom of things or just simply figuring out things no matter how long it takes. I do like to get my hands dirty, especially when it comes to enclosures but also like you and probably most others, it gets old so I apply the brakes for a day or so if I can.

Nah, I’m banking you have a ton to accomplish even after you accomplish which to means a short 1 day brake, a few balanced meals, rehydration, stretching, some family time, and a good night rest not necessarily in that order. You sure have had your hands full, still do, and I’m sure it’s gonna be a productive year for you as well.
Also I’m debating on getting a kennel now too

These look amazing! I built one of the other enclosures you have but I see my tegus rub their noses on the hardware cloth quite often so I resorted to something similar to this and it works great!
Great! Ya some tegus will rub and some dont. The coated hardware cloth works great for that.
