The bronzer and the eyeshadow look absolutely stunning and a real pleasure to use. At the moment I’m on a no-buy, using things up, but I’m building up a wish list of things to treat myself to when I’ve finished my current products. I think this makeup is super pricey, but I’m trying to stop buying lots of impulse buys and just buy the things I need in a more considered way. And I think in the end it actually saves money. The only item I have purchased is the satin kajal eyeliner. That was all I could afford. It is a lovely eyeliner. Everything you tried looked lovely on you. I loved that lipstick shade on you. Thanks for a great review 😊

I hope you and your family are safe and warm and that you didn't end up losing electricity!!!!! I have successfully refused to buy a few different luxury brands for I don't know what reason... they are not necessarily more than other brands I have purchased from.... I don't even want to name them because I don't want to be negative... but something just rubs me the wrong way.... buuuuut, I did finally cave with VB and purchased an eyeliner and her contour wand... I stayed strong and kept it to those 2 items. I do like the wand because it is so slender for defining / contouring the nose, lips, etc.... it is beautiful, but a small brush would do just the same... I knew it, but I had a moment of weakness 😂

I feel the same about the hyped rare beauty blush- it doesnt blend on my skin very well, even removes foundation. its a fail on me. I would like that contour palette by VB- looks nice.

I’m glad you’ve done this video Carmel, another video where I’m living vicariously through you! I’ve thought about trying a few VB products in the past, but I just haven’t been able to part with the cash 😂 It’s the lid lusters and eye liners that I’m most tempted by I think. But then I keep thinking will it really be that much better than my Natasha Denona shimmers/palettes or all of my other eye shadows? I do like a single eye shadow now and again for doing my makeup on the go or travelling, but even then if I want luxury and compact I have my YSL quad, which I got for £40 from boots (so only £4 more expensive than a single Lid Luster!!) Maybe I might treat myself one day if there’s a sale, maybe as a gift to myself when (if) I graduate in the autumn. Hope you didn’t get too much damage in the storm. We were ok again this time fortunately, though my parents lost a few panes from their greenhouse and some other minor bits. Xxx

I have the concealer but for the money you get a lot more with Westman Atelier, Chanel Sublimage or Sisley , and they’re better Eye pencil Cinamon and khaki are lovely , quite similar to Trish McEvoy and Marc Jacobs , discontinued though
It has to be the Sisley in the tube with a brush. Another one that is really nice is Bobby Brown serum concealer and their corrector stick. BUT go in store and test them both . I have bought so many not quite right . A really good bronzer is Surratt , beautiful

I LOVE eyeliners. I’ve been through so many and this was one of the worst for me! It slid all over, ended up in my eye crease and under the eye, not even worth trying it under the eye! I tried setting spray, powder, all combos. It just moved all over. I don’t have oily eye lids either! Even liner that isn’t supposed to set down didn’t make a big a mess on me lol Sat in my pot since.

I hate sharpening too😂 I prefer common retailers but fell in love with the VB customer experience this past year. On top, they offer discounts, or even better, gifts with purchase. I never would have ordered the Bronze Kajal myself and it's one of my VB favourites...but it will smudge. Don't recommend to wing it out but it taught me to enjoy a smoky liner look this summer (i posted pictures too)

I guess if you are going to be good and own a few makeup products then it’s not so bad, using the less is more approach. I get nervous not being able to test things and spending that amount. The colours did look lovely on you. I think the products you recommended are a good idea eg bronzer. What did you think of wearability ?

Do your research on the shades (YT is good for that) and you should be ok! The wearability/longevity is excellent- on every product. I can’t fault them in that sense! ☺️🩷
How does the honey shade compare to the revlon cream eyeshadow in the pot in caramel? It looks like it might be a bit similar? Trying to convince myself they’re the same (😆) as I have the Revlon one xx

Plus, the VB is a pressed powder, so the texture & finish is different. Having said that, if you blind tested them side by side, there would be no noticeable difference in the quality! 🩷 xx
My main reason to skip the concealer is the struggle of what to put when - i love my Sisley concealer but don't use it often bc it is wasted on top of sunscreen. I love the VB serum - it is one of very very few exspensive ones that are irreplacable to me. So money better spent imo (i've tried the concealer but no game changer)

@@CarmelNicoleBeauty Sisley is very nice - really good coverage without any texture. I should just use it up, good reminder.. Its skincare properties aren't as wildly uncommon and exspensive either (as TF8 or whatever it's called) and i got it discounted at around 50€ - a tube with quite some product (15 or 20ml i think), so completely different ratio and quality. That i would repurchase and is remarkable. The VB serum i didn't like at first, forgot about it and randomly used it up. Then i noticed that my skin was unusually plump even after a long day and it was this. But the packaging is awful! I planned a video roundup for quite some time, i should finally do it... bc i recommend always getting 15ml: the bottle is difficult to handle and isn't airtight
@@CarmelNicoleBeauty that said, i hesitated for quite some time to repurchase the serum but when they offered the sea grey kajal (i'm sorry, but very beautiful as well 🤣) and 15% off for Black Friday i gave in.. now i'm rated 'inner circle' as a new message of spending intervention. I enjoy watching videos featuring luxury products, but watching is generally as close as I will get. I think vey, very few products are worth those high prices for me.
From an insider in cosmetics manufacturing point of view these products are a complete rip off - it’s just the branding you’re paying for - if you knew how much these simple formulations cost you’d really begrudge paying these ridiculous prices - pure greed from the brand in my humble opinion.

VB Beauty is luxury makeup. From ingredients to packaging. I feel the same about the lipstick and eyeliners. You might enjoy her blush sticks they’re lovely. The eyeshadow bricks are nice but not groundbreaking. I also find the concealer over priced but we are paying to have that Augustine name to it. Overall her brand really impressed me. Her fragrances are high quality. I’ve never tried the skin care but that’s because I don’t believe in spending that kind of money on something that won’t be on my face for long. It all looks so lovely on you.

Hi Carmel! I’m truly interested in your thoughts. This is a brand I have not tried even though I have heard many great things about.
It is good to have those astronomically priced make up brands. It makes you think, like, do I really need that? Do I really have to work so much time for those things? It is supposed to heal my insecurities, but isn't it easier to stop feeling insecure instead?

I feel the same about the hyped rare beauty blush- it doesnt blend on my skin very well, even removes foundation. its a fail on me. I would like that contour palette by VB- looks nice.
@@FreshGrey-pm4vw Oh I’m so sorry that the RB blush doesn’t work for you! I think you either love or hate them because of the massive amount of pigment! Which shade do you have? I think you’d like a blush like this because it can be very subtle, if desired. Super pigmented blushes can be very tricky! 🩷
I’m glad you’ve done this video Carmel, another video where I’m living vicariously through you! I’ve thought about trying a few VB products in the past, but I just haven’t been able to part with the cash 😂 It’s the lid lusters and eye liners that I’m most tempted by I think. But then I keep thinking will it really be that much better than my Natasha Denona shimmers/palettes or all of my other eye shadows? I do like a single eye shadow now and again for doing my makeup on the go or travelling, but even then if I want luxury and compact I have my YSL quad, which I got for £40 from boots (so only £4 more expensive than a single Lid Luster!!) Maybe I might treat myself one day if there’s a sale, maybe as a gift to myself when (if) I graduate in the autumn.
Hope you didn’t get too much damage in the storm. We were ok again this time fortunately, though my parents lost a few panes from their greenhouse and some other minor bits.

I have the concealer but for the money you get a lot more with Westman Atelier, Chanel Sublimage or Sisley , and they’re better
Eye pencil Cinamon and khaki are lovely , quite similar to Trish McEvoy and Marc Jacobs , discontinued though

It has to be the Sisley in the tube with a brush. Another one that is really nice is Bobby Brown serum concealer and their corrector stick. BUT go in store and test them both . I have bought so many not quite right . A really good bronzer is Surratt , beautiful

I LOVE eyeliners. I’ve been through so many and this was one of the worst for me! It slid all over, ended up in my eye crease and under the eye, not even worth trying it under the eye!
I tried setting spray, powder, all combos. It just moved all over. I don’t have oily eye lids either! Even liner that isn’t supposed to set down didn’t make a big a mess on me lol

@@CarmelNicoleBeauty my fav liquid is the L’Oréal super liner cat eye. My other favs are wunder super stay liner (doesn’t budge) and my HG is Estée Lauder artist liner which sadly you can’t buy alone for some reason, they only ever include it in gift sets, but it’s my fav, it’s lovely.

I prefer common retailers but fell in love with the VB customer experience this past year. On top, they offer discounts, or even better, gifts with purchase. I never would have ordered the Bronze Kajal myself and it's one of my VB favourites...but it will smudge. Don't recommend to wing it out but it taught me to enjoy a smoky liner look this summer (i posted pictures too)

I guess if you are going to be good and own a few makeup products then it’s not so bad, using the less is more approach. I get nervous not being able to test things and spending that amount. The colours did look lovely on you.
I think the products you recommended are a good idea eg bronzer. What did you think of wearability ?

Do your research on the shades (YT is good for that) and you should be ok! The wearability/longevity is excellent- on every product. I can’t fault them in that sense! ☺️🩷

How does the honey shade compare to the revlon cream eyeshadow in the pot in caramel? It looks like it might be a bit similar? Trying to convince myself they’re the same (😆) as I have the Revlon one xx
@@ruthschambers I love your way of thinking, Ruth! ☺️ Unfortunately I don’t think they’re very similar. Honey is a much warmer shade. Plus, the VB is a pressed powder, so the texture & finish is different. Having said that, if you blind tested them side by side, there would be no noticeable difference in the quality! 🩷 xx
And if I had to choose between the two…I’d pick the Revlon! X

My main reason to skip the concealer is the struggle of what to put when - i love my Sisley concealer but don't use it often bc it is wasted on top of sunscreen. I love the VB serum - it is one of very very few exspensive ones that are irreplacable to me. So money better spent imo (i've tried the concealer but no game changer)

@@CarmelNicoleBeauty Sisley is very nice - really good coverage without any texture. I should just use it up, good reminder.. Its skincare properties aren't as wildly uncommon and exspensive either (as TF8 or whatever it's called) and i got it discounted at around 50€ - a tube with quite some product (15 or 20ml i think), so completely different ratio and quality. That i would repurchase and is remarkable.
The VB serum i didn't like at first, forgot about it and randomly used it up. Then i noticed that my skin was unusually plump even after a long day and it was this. But the packaging is awful! I planned a video roundup for quite some time, i should finally do it... bc i recommend always getting 15ml: the bottle is difficult to handle and isn't airtight
@@CarmelNicoleBeauty that said, i hesitated for quite some time to repurchase the serum but when they offered the sea grey kajal (i'm sorry, but very beautiful as well 🤣) and 15% off for Black Friday i gave in.. now i'm rated 'inner circle' as a new message of spending intervention. Luckily VB is giving us permanent items so i'll try to avoid further purchases :)

@@ginnyburley9552 We lose power _all_ the time, Ginny! I live in rural Ireland and trees go flying everywhere during major winds! Surprisingly though, we didn’t lose full power this time! Just lost our internet, phone, water…but we’re slowly being restored 😄

I enjoy watching videos featuring luxury products, but watching is generally as close as I will get. I think vey, very few products are worth those high prices for me.

I bought the bronze eyeliner. Was very surprised when it turned out to be a normal pencil with a cheap sharpener. So disappointed

From an insider in cosmetics manufacturing point of view these products are a complete rip off - it’s just the branding you’re paying for - if you knew how much these simple formulations cost you’d really begrudge paying these ridiculous prices - pure greed from the brand in my humble opinion.

VB Beauty is luxury makeup. From ingredients to packaging. I feel the same about the lipstick and eyeliners. You might enjoy her blush sticks they’re lovely. The eyeshadow bricks are nice but not groundbreaking. I also find the concealer over priced but we are paying to have that Augustine name to it. Overall her brand really impressed me. Her fragrances are high quality. I’ve never tried the skin care but that’s because I don’t believe in spending that kind of money on something that won’t be on my face for long. It all looks so lovely on you.
