Im from this area and always imagine the Whites being the best section of the AT. Doing Madison and possibly Adams this weekend. Stay safe and hydrated!
Watching your trek through the Whites reminds me why I am not bagging 4,000 footers, any more. South Twin, I hiked both Twins and as I always do, I pulled out my camera to grab some shots only to realize that I left my battery at home in the charger. I carried that weight for NOTHING. The hike up to Zealand Falls Hut from the trailhead is a great hike until you hit the last .2 where it's straight up. I have found, the more I hike that trail the less steep that last push is. The A-Z trail is hardly used so it is low on the maintenance list.
@@PaulsWanderings Yeah I hear ya. Don't get me wrong, those blue blaze peaks were/are tempting, but not on my radar...at least for now, living so far away. It would be a list that would take a long time to complete lol
