I noticed that at the end of the game where it was mentioned about the Alien Wars. I hope the sequel is based on the Super Nintendo’s excellent game in the series, Contra III: The Alien Wars as that is my all-time favorite Contra game besides the NES games: Contra and Super C and Contra 4 on the Nintendo DS. With future games, I want the developers/publishers to move away from remaking/reimagining and/or using the first Contra game as a basis for new Contra games. Seems like they always revert to the first game when making new ones in the series. So, I hope we get an SNES Contra III-like sequel with clever use of mode 7/modern scaling! Levels with destroying buildings in the backdrop and areas in the worn-torn city would make for excellent level design.
I dont understand how this ISN'T being advertised as UP TO FOUR PLAYERS. It took videos for me to find out it's more than two players. Now to wait until the end of the year for it to come out.

PD , mención especial al tema principal remasterizado de manera épica , el del primer nivel es un soundtrack ¡ ESPECTACULAR !
Game is great with all sorts of challenges and extra content (unlocked characters, perks, remixes, etc) but having no online co-op is surprising, hopefully they add it in a future patch. Will definitely grab it on sale (let's be real, pricing is kinda high).
I see a lot of potential in Contra. I can see a tighter story something like Titanfall 2 with better graphics but retains the same run and gun mechanics. Loose the cartoonish look and keep it 2.5D. And more stages so the game is not about 2 hours.
Fix the Switch's performance issue (and there are actually performance issue on all versions from what I've heard) and I'll litterally buy it right now.
please fix the switch version!!! It's unplayable, it's a shame! If there is no other way out, then I ask you to give a performance mode with a lower resolution to 480p. Don't ignore the problem! Perhaps specialists from Nintendo can help you if you contact them. Please do not leave the Switch version as a stain on your reputation!!!
@FloydPinkerton79 beats any asinine Call of Duty due to high replay value. It has no DLC nor any micro transactions BS. If we support it, then we can get a Castlevania, Sparkster, or new Gradius, hopefully.

But actually i think Contra 4 is still a little bit better because it is more old school and pure without upgrade system I am very bold to say the art style is kinda cheap plastic 3d at first but when you get used to it, it actually didn't matter that much. At least i don't want to play Contra Returns more and lie to myself there are better and purer entries out there after Hard Corps, and i need the ones that is better than Rogue Corps and ps1 era outsourced spinoffs
Wayforward please add an online co-op mode in a major update. No online co-op in a modern day Contra is a let down. That's the reason I'm skipping it now.
Fix the version of Nintendo switch, as always it is the worst version of all, it is horrible, the frames are lost when there are many things on the screen, there are too many bugs and it is poorly optimized that ruins the experience, on top of that it goes at 30 fps it is not fluid it is horrible to try to advance in the levels
how come all your recent games feature the same sexist woke doubles standard of super sexulizing the male characters with big muscles and only shirtless outfits but zero of the female characters are ever sexulized and always covered up head to toe?

How long is the game for the price of 50 bucks?
Story mode is around 1 1/2 hours long. But there's unlockable characters and an arcade mode with the Probotectors (who are actually pretty dope).
Love this game sooo much, none stop action, I honestly feel that I could never get sick of this game
