Oh Laura, just heard your comment about the soil tests. Our son is an Analytical Chemist and was sitting near me when I watched your video of doing the soil tests and getting the results.
He was so upset by the poor quality and unusable results you received that he was nearly apoplectic. You are very correct to be perplexed by the results and info sheets sent to you! I wish I had a suggestion but judging by my son's reaction you may have been right all along to just send people to their Extension Agent.

Same here. I always loved gardening but didn’t have direction or know-how. Now I have much more knowledge and my gardens keep growing larger 🙃 it’s my favorite thing 🌱
I agree with you guys. My pots were spectacular this year due to Laura’s penchant for stuffing her pots with many plants. Added the Biotone which was incredible and my results made me very happy. I never watered with liquid fertilizer, I just sprinkled in more Biotone or Flower-tone and watered it in. Worked great for me and much easier to do.
Two of my “highlights” are Laura and Arron with the “pony”/ Sawhorse debacle and Laura’s imitation of Russel chasing the reflection. Then she wraps lol!!! Many blessings and congratulations bulb winners!

It's only 7:00 am here and I have to laugh that I'm now partially addicted to your video's! I really look forward to having my morning coffee and watching the latest Garden Answer video. I just found you 2-3 weeks ago and I've watched all of the most recent ones. Now that I've done that I'm going back and watching older ones. You are so inspiring! You are always so cheerful and natural so it's a great start to the day. We have an acre here in northern va, which is a suburb of DC. It's an older neighborhood and that's the only reason we have this much land. Planting scrubs and flowers and veggies is a challenge because of the deer. Year round the deer make a meal of it. Now we grow all of our veggies and lilies in what we call "the cage" otherwise we would have nothing. The rest are mostly deer resistant scrubs and things the deer do eat but grow back. It's a real challenge, but I am getting a lot of good info from watching your channel. I do have one question, how do you keep the deer from eating your plants?

I totally understand..... with this quarantine Garden Answer videos are like a breath of fresh air to me. I’m selfish, I wish they published several videos a day, because that would keep me from watching the news or thinking about my husband who is a nurse during these trying times. Sometimes I click on her playlists and just listen while I clean and cook.... my hubby thinks it’s awesome!!!!

You mentioned being more organized for cut flowers next year...I give away lots of bouquets of cut flowers from my garden and have a hard time having enough of vases. I love all the Garden Answer videos and have been following for several years. Learned so much and have been able to apply that knowledge to my garden. My message for the other followers is to leave Aaron alone! If he feels uncomfortable in front of the camera, that is not going to change because we beg him or tell him how wonderful he is. I respect that not everyone enjoys that role and Aaron has spoken. He wouldn't lie to us! Let him play the role he has done so well so far!

When I was young (many, many, years ago) there were enough kids (almost all boys) +-2 years of age. We did all kinds of things together, including sports (baseball, football) and building boats & floating them down all the streams. Bicycling around, etc. We were kind of country. Great memories.

A dressing I use for my loose leaf lettuce is from my husband's grandmother. Lovely lady!
3/4 C Sour Cream
2 tsp. White Vinegar
1/4 C sugar
Salt
Pepper
2 Tbls. Water
Mix all together. I also slice onions and add. Then toss over lettuce! Best dressing ever!!!
You can very amts. depending on your taste. Will last for a few days. Enjoy!
I think my grandmother used to make this dressing, I loved it and I could almost taste it when I read your recipe! She lived on a farm in Nebraska and is no longer with us, I am anxious to give this a try. Thank you so much for posting it.
Laura, thank you for sharing your cutting and vegetable garden(s) with us this year - from development to harvest. We know that you will have much more of an audience for all of those cut flowers next year (Lord willing) with being able to bring flowers to hospitals, senior centers and living facilities; community centers, women and family shelters, etc. The pandemic has inhibited many charitable opportunities like this - so much to look forward to in years to come in terms of opportunity to put your garden to even greater use and purpose. We must all look ahead and find these kinds of opportunities to give back to the communities in which we live and operate.
Every year that your kids gets older makes the holidays even more fun, so glad you are excited!

Laura, I've been in my house for almost 5 ears and I don't have anything hanging on my walls or curtain's up yet. I have been working on other inside projects though, such as painting the walls and the kitchen cabinets, etc. It takes time and I'm going at my own pace. So I totally know get it.
Laura you are fantastic, don't be nervous. We all LOVE your videos and appreciate everything you show us. I can see how it would be nerve wrecking because so many critics are out there. But you have so many people who adore you, so go for it!!
Love the impersonation of Russell chasing things as I cannot replicate that cat noise either. Cats make that kind of chirping noise (also called a trill) when they are stalking or hunting prey especially when it is something they can’t get to. It’s just a throw back to the tiger inside!

Regarding the Repels-All, we have a huge problem with squirrels digging in our planters and I was constantly sprinkling Repels-All in them. Does it really work for you? I’ve stopped buying it because it doesn’t seem to do anything to any of the animals that we have around here who constantly dig or eat our plants. I was just throwing money away. The stuff just doesn’t work. At least here in New England. Thanks!

Cooking: It's really no different than showing us how to take cut flowers from the garden to the wreath. I really like seeing how to harvest the produce, how to store it, preserve it, cook it, and serve it, and if you're inclined, how to compost, or use in other ways, any leftovers.
Your viewers love ANYthing that you do...we could watch you vaccuum your living room for pete's sake, and give it a 'thumbs up'! Please, if you are thinking of doing any sort of video over the Christmas Season, be it drying oranges, building a snowman, or making cookies in your not so clean kitchen....please make it! The reason you are loved so much by us is because of your genorosity, being so humble, and GENUINE...we all having messy kitchens...so what!? You are real....and that is why we watch! :-)
