Common sense is not common at all. Literally no one I ever meet understands that you won't catch viruses as long as you don't open suspicious files, emails or browse shady sites. I feel supported by an actual engineer for once.

i think torrents are safe too if you follow the same guidelines of common sense, even thought they might seem a bit scary first. Idk i might be wrong though since im pretty new to that stuff myself, but thats my experience atleast.
Torrents are safe if you know the uploader/provider of the torrent file has a good track record in the community (aka multiple uploads and many seeds still on them). If you do get something shady though, Windows Defender will likely flag the file as soon as it downloads. Then you can just delete it or run it in sandbox mode.
There is some military level security software (not an antivirus, rather a whitelist for programs with protection for the system) that offers a gaming mode. If you use that, it restarts the PC and essentially only loads the most necessary stuff, and you can turn it off again and it restarts normally. Gaming mode has higher frame rate, but obviously is only for gaming, not recommended for anything else. Sp there is legit software that makes the PC faster, or rather working one, that does not permanently change your startup etc., so your system doesn't screw up. However, you need to know what it is, so not really for the normal PC user.
What's ur opinion on game checkers that will check if games can play on your computer and give you warnings to not buy a game because you might not need be able to use it.
how is it scam if a company offers service to improve a pc? i work for a local company near me and im asked many times to come over and fix pcs because they bought one from us and they dont understand what edge is for instance. or that they have no idea how to setup some programs. i charge 5 bucks an hour but i will get lots of shit done. and clients even get my phone number to call me for over the phone tips wich are free.

Haven't had to reinstall Win10 at all since its release. No improvements in doing so, unless the system is faulted in the first place. 2 of my ROG laptops get a new Win10 every week or so. Sometimes just security or patches, other times, complete new builds.
I have been getting a strange file on my mac called "join me" But it seem to be harmless on the mac as it doesn't open. I'm guessing it was to target a pc.

Question as I’m not a tech savvy person. I have an app that came with my galaxy s8 that’s called Game Launcher. Is that one of those softwares that’s “free up your software” that I shouldn’t be using?
You shouldn't be using apps like those period Also go to settings and press permissions then go to the app you stated previously Finally look at what permissions that app has, they tend to take permissions for calendar and even phonebook
To boost your performance press the square on the right and you'll get a screen showing all tasks which are happening simultaneously then just swipe the ones you don't want and start playing
If there's a registry entry for a file that does not exist, that's not really tampering with your windows folder as you seem to be suggesting. You clearly don't like those Pc optimizing apps, but I feel like you're being too negative about them here. When cleaning your registry, there's nothing less harmless to do than to remove entries that lead to non-existent files for example. Those entries are completely useless so might as well delete them. Keeping them probably does not harm you in a major way, but when you have like 100,000 of them, it may be better to wipe them out. Sure, there's probably no point in using those optimizing programmes more often than every couple weeks/months, but if someone wants to do it every 2 days, nothing bad really happens to him.
Thoughts?

Question as I’m not a tech savvy person. I have an app that came with my galaxy s8 that’s called Game Launcher. Is that one of those softwares that’s “free up your software” that I shouldn’t be using?
You shouldn't be using apps like those period
Also go to settings and press permissions then go to the app you stated previously
Finally look at what permissions that app has, they tend to take permissions for calendar and even phonebook
