Happy Sunday Everyone! I have been working on this makeover for WEEKS now... and I am so excited to share it with you all! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THIS EXTREME BEFORE & AFTER!!

Honestly my favorite part was how much her brother in law hugged her !! He was so appreciative ! I would’ve cried honestly 😂 I’m in the process of renovating my FIRST home and it’s A LOT

You did an amazing job!!!!! Can I just suggest maybe swapping the broom stick with a wooden one just because it’s reflecting on the mirror and the wooden wouldn’t stand out at much and it’s a easy swap they have them at Home Depot
The red broom stick was visible. Switching to a wood or white one would blend in easily. Everything else turned out absolutely fabulous as we'd expect. Kristen's solution for a front door coat closet is brilliant. Plenty of hanging space, adequate storage & seating to accommodate every one's transition needs when entering or exiting. The main room is chic & sophisticated yet practical & cozy. Perfect for hosting & entertaining adult guests. I enjoyed her Brother-in-Law's expressive reaction of sincere appreciation for Kristen's talents & efforts. He was obviously very pleased with the luxurious results she created in his home. He said the place looked staged & it does resemble an advertisement for a vacation resort. I find it satisfying to watch people as they initially view their newly transformed space. Especially if they get excited because the space genuinely reflects their wishes & lights them up with joyful emotions. I feel privileged to share a small part of their happiness, it's an uplifting experience loaded with positive vibes.
I was wondering how you we're going to hide it. Pretty smart indeed. I was overthinking it and was like... "Is she going to turn it into a book shelf?? xD
Wow, even "before" their home looks amazing, very modern and unique. And the fact you went MCM - YAY! However, be sure to put a bumper somewhere to keep the front door from banging into the storage unit! (kids and all) You have a great "eye" and are blessed with a great talent to do this! I hope this leads you FAR beyond what you're doing simply for your family here on YT - this is career making stuff, IMHO!
Absolutely beautiful job!! You must paint the broom white to match the ikea cabinet. It's too jarring to see it reflected in the mirror. I am in love with your style and vibe. I think I'm going to order those 2 chairs in coconut for my living room. Can you please come to the states and decorate my living room????

Its very appreciable makeover!! but at 16:28, to me the decreasing heights of the wall, the ikea cabinet and the painting sitting on the side unit is little off. Must have done something with the amazing height you had in room.
I love how Kristen accepts compliments so graciously... like she doesn't deny it's an amazing space but she does it so enthusiastically and in a way that is confident but not conceded. I admire that so much! Great work, darling! :)
This is a really beautiful room now. I really appreciate that you took advantage of that curved inset and made it comfy and cozy and still bright and light. However, I think the room is a little too cluttered. You could get rid of the basket by the sofa, two or three of the things on the credenza, the pillow on the storage area by the stairs oh, and maybe one or two other things. The room is just a little too overflowing.
Not all designers have the gift, the gift to see what others cannot see and to execute it at the level that you did. You're so talented & a natural. Such a delight to see the transformation. Looking forward to more of your videos.
I like your makeover the only two things I don’t like is the IKEA storage unit I think it’s cheapen the room replace it with a build in storage cabinet and the red broom it’s an eye sore replace it with a Electric vacuum that matches the colors in the room. That’s my opinion.
I like the color combinations and textures. However, the chairs in the window alcove need the end table for beverages and snacks more than the sofa, as the sofa already has a coffee table. I disagree with the pax wardrobe placement as it’s blocking light into the living room. For function...I would have put the bench under the window by the door, as it blocks the stairs. And the pax on the brick wall. Then the little space filler shelf thing is not needed.
I love how it feels plush and luxurious all at once. My taste leans towards the plush/cushy side and the couch, poof automan, and blankets give it that feel.👍🏻
You need to get your own show!!! YOU ARE INCREDIBLE! I love how you walk us through from beginning to end. How you let us into your designer mindset. You have an amazing eye for this! Wish you could come do some makeovers at my house! Haha great job!
Straight out of those magazine photoshoot makeovers... I paused at the starting of the video & challenged myself of ways I can think of the possible use of this room if I would have been given the job make over.. Nothing as such special struck me! As to how to incorporate colours and how not to make it look all edged sharp lines running all along the room .. It seemed like an impossible job.. But you did it . Bright colourful homely while incorporating different shapes and sizes from center table to plants to side table to lamp and vase!
Your room makeovers are SO satisfying to watch! You're great at the finishing touches, especially. The whole thing comes together at the end when you put the decor pieces - like the vases and baskets - together so creatively and unexpectedly. Great job!!

Our home colors are mostly beige, black and white and some grey. These are colors my husband is comfortable with. I was even worried to bring in a deep red pillow as an accent but he warmed to it. Since I recently subscribed to your channel my husband sits and watches sometimes and was I ever shocked when I asked what he thought of the couch in this video and he said he liked it! He actually said I like this channel that's a really well put together room that I would like in my home. You don't know him but that is a HUGE compliment!!!! Keep up the wonderful videos they are such an inspiration ❤️

This is sooo beautiful Kristen!! - you can tell how much love & thought was put into the choices you made and how it was all executed! The only one thing I might change would be to switch out the color frame of the round mirror...love the style - I just think a tan wood might balance the room a bit more w.the the shelving unit, stairs etc. I think it's IKEA that has the wood one with a sort of lip on it? That would be amazing!! jmho. Either way as always you did an outstanding job!! All the best ♥♥♥

Love the romm and the changes, but I wish you had bought real eculapso, they can manage to look good without water very long time. And used snake plants and ZZ plants, they can stand necled. And because they can handle bright light and semi bright light

The rug and couch are lovely... but I was wondering why you chose a Coffee Table without any storage, whatsoever...after talking about how you like pieces with storage..(?) Even a drawer, or something would be beneficial. It also seems small in comparison to the area. The draperies were dark and heavy , I was glad to see those were changed. I use Cream velvet ones, along with Linen look panels( in the middle, which allows light but more privacy than sheers.) I think a narrow console table with a drawer ,and a shelf would help define that area behind the Sofa. P.S. ~ your sister is beautiful ( as are you ) and they seem such a lovely Couple. The way he hugged you spoke volumes.

I love watching your makeovers. This one was beautiful for the colors and overall furniture choices but a couple of things didn’t work for me. First, I can’t see putting that large storage bench between the stairs and the shoe shelf. I can envision someone stumbling into it. A smaller version would be better. The circular coffee table seems too small for the space. I watched several of Kristen’s later videos before this and it looks like an example of choosing a piece that is too small and “floating” in the space. The shape doesn’t help. A larger oblong table would work well- I do like the marble and the skinny legs. I like the makeover except for those 2 things. Good job Kristen!

I still love my Article sofa, in green. But after a bit color start fading in seating area, they offer me new cover ( you can unzip) just for $700+. I can not tell about other furniture quality, but hope that is little bit better since 2016.

Kristen what did you do to the door? You didn't mention it but I see in the after pic that it's blue. I love it! I need help with having a brown couch, brown recliner, light brown carpet.. yuck and dark. Do you think I can use the peel and stick wallpaper (wood- like) on top of a plywood floor?

Why do you use plastic plants? There are undemanding plants that you could use in your projects. Plastic plants are kitsch.

This is sooo beautiful Kristen!! - you can tell how much love & thought was put into the choices you made and how it was all executed! The only one thing I might change would be to switch out the color frame of the round mirror...love the style - I just think a tan wood might balance the room a bit more w.the the shelving unit, stairs etc. I think it's IKEA that has the wood one with a sort of lip on it? That would be amazing!! jmho. Either way as always you did an outstanding job!! All the best ♥♥♥

Love the romm and the changes, but I wish you had bought real eculapso, they can manage to look good without water very long time. And used snake plants and ZZ plants, they can stand necled. And because they can handle bright light and semi bright light

The rug and couch are lovely... but I was wondering why you chose a Coffee Table without any storage, whatsoever...after talking about how you like pieces with storage..(?) Even a drawer, or something would be beneficial. It also seems small in comparison to the area.
The draperies were dark and heavy , I was glad to see those were changed.
I use Cream velvet ones, along with Linen look panels( in the middle, which allows light but more privacy than sheers.) I think a narrow console table with a drawer ,and a shelf would help define that area behind the Sofa.
P.S. ~ your sister is beautiful ( as are you ) and they seem such a lovely Couple. The way he hugged you spoke volumes.

I love watching your makeovers. This one was beautiful for the colors and overall furniture choices but a couple of things didn’t work for me. First, I can’t see putting that large storage bench between the stairs and the shoe shelf. I can envision someone stumbling into it. A smaller version would be better. The circular coffee table seems too small for the space. I watched several of Kristen’s later videos before this and it looks like an example of choosing a piece that is too small and “floating” in the space. The shape doesn’t help. A larger oblong table would work well- I do like the marble and the skinny legs. I like the makeover except for those 2 things. Good job Kristen!

I still love my Article sofa, in green. But after a bit color start fading in seating area, they offer me new cover ( you can unzip) just for $700+. I can not tell about other furniture quality, but hope that is little bit better since 2016.

Kristen what did you do to the door? You didn't mention it but I see in the after pic that it's blue. I love it! I need help with having a brown couch, brown recliner, light brown carpet.. yuck and dark. Do you think I can use the peel and stick wallpaper (wood- like) on top of a plywood floor?
