For those athletes that have a hard time relaxing the calf muscles, muscles are always hypertonic, after a light warmup and stretch apply low frequency vibration to calf and shin muscles. Some self myofascia work between the ankles gastroc muscle body to relieve calf muscles from the local tension. Alternatively, alternating between ice and warm bath , 15 minutes cold 7 minutes warm, can also reset the nerves as well as flush the tissue. My 2¢.
Love it Dave, very helpful. I would like to see something on scoliosis. I have a gymnast, that just does power tumbling but who has scoliosis. I've tried to find some information out there but there isn't much for gymnasts out there. #SHIFT24club
I love the white board/visuals. I will be screening my athletes next week and am adding this to our list. As a high school coach, I'm still trying to figure out how to create a season long strength plan knowing we have 7 dual meets (on Tuesdays) and a few Saturday invites throughout our 14 week season (November 8 - February 19). #SHIFT24Club
So happy to hear that Chris! I"m a visual person too, so need to get them in haha. Making the season plan is tough, but we do have some other videos on planning the competitive year that may help! Hope this helps - shiftmovementscience.com/freeyearlyplanninglecture/

Love those ideas Mike! Vibration devices definitely have some support for reducing tone, and can be a great tool to add in. Well said!
My favourite part of the video - the stick figure edits 😍🤩😮💨🤤
