Aralaganwila area of the Polonnaruwa District in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka is home to the well-known tourist destination Piburuttewa Wewa. The distance between it and the city of Polonnaruwa is around 32.4 kilometres, and the travel duration is roughly 30 minutes.
Another lovely location to visit in the Polonnaruwa district is Pimburaththewa Lake. The Aralaganwila region's agriculture depends on the water from this reservoir. Elephants are common in the area, and they frequent the reservoir for water. Because of this, caution should be used when bathing in this reservoir.
