@@macmac277 yeah, in the campaign another Paladin was turned into his Champion, I think his name was Bloody.
@@macmac277 Can't be Kel, he's already dead by the time Arthas purges the city. Arthas had to bring him back, using the Sunwell.

I think in this alternate timeline, it should be that Arthas heeded Medivh's warning and not the red dragonqueen warning him.
Ace Deus Medivh tried to warn King Terenas but no one listened to him or even recognize who he was.
Nah there was a cutscene where medivh told arthas to go to kalimdor
Even Jaina tried to convince this dude, it just wasn't going to happen. He could've been persuaded not to go Northrend or at least not take Frostmourne if Jaina and Uther didn't abandon him though.
something major would have had to happen to get arthis to change his mind his ex couldn't even talk him out of it
Also since when did Alex have the ability to see the future, doesn't really fall into life magic
I was fangirling so hard when I saw this, I had imagined a whole story about this, but I never knew anyone ever did theories or even better, campaigns. I'm so gonna enjoy playing this
A lot of people treat Arthus burning strathholme as the turning point. I personally think it was when he burned his own ships then blamed the mercenaries he hired.
yeah, Stratholme being purged was the only reasonable option. if anything, them abandoning him over it was the real turning point.
It was, he lost a part of him by killing his own people, a weigh that he promised no one should never carry after after he experienced how his horse, invincible, was put down by his own hand after a accident that left his companion gravely injured. He passing for that traumatic experience made him more vengeful than ever before.
Even if it was the most reasonable option, this one was extremely hard for him to carry on, so much that it sealed his fate for good.
I like how Jay 4 years ago and present day still sounds the same, I guess some things never change

on my view this is the best custom campaign series ever.
Let's get started with this new campaign and-OHMYGOD IT'S SO LOUD WHY IS IT SO LOUD.
Whoever made this custom campaign
He knows Wow lore and respects Arthas
Arthas was a victim
And he should have never been thrown into the Maw
Eh, Arthas was put into a difficult place, and I don't think the purging of Strateholme was the wrong choice.
I do think he shouldn't have gone to Northrend but so far it's somewhat understandable.
Where he absolutely went wrong was when he burned the ships and blamed the mercenaries who fought for him. Noone forced or manipulated him into doing so, he came up with it all on his own.
In this story, instead of Medivh, Arthas listened to Alexstraza. He got her Orb, instead of Frostmourne. He went to Kalimdor first, then the Orcs. He beat up Trolls instead of his former people in Human part.
He became King while Uther became Undead death knight, with a former Paladin becoming the Undead leader as MC in Undead part.
Broxigar was still stranded in Night Elven timeline, but not died in the battle against the Demons in Orc.
The story of Night Elves were focused on Malfurion still.
Then the Alliance was formed to crush the enemies.

I wonder why the creator went with Alexstraza to give a warning of the canon lore. It is the Bronze Flight that are the time keepers and keep it from being screwed with by other powers, notably the Infinite Flight unless they decided to not interfere with their scheme and got curious about how this will pan out. (Me too.)
Maybe this is an Infinite impersonating Alextraza or she learned it from the Bronze and was too soft hearted to not give the warning even though the Bronze warned her not to.
The story isn’t Over though. Maybe in the future we’ll find out why it was Alexstraza.

I think Chromie and the entire Bronze Dragonflight would have shiv Alexstrasza in her sleep if she did that.
They did say that if Arthas didn't tip off Illidan to the Skull of Gul'dan and just betray the Legion in general they'd have had Tichondrius plus far more demons and undead at Hyjal and probably won.
Ye makes sense that ultimately Arthas becoming pawn of Lich King/Ner'zhul and Ner'zhul then being able to make sure that Legion would fail were what ultimately saved Azeroth in the end, even if it doomed Arthas, Lordaeron and most of humans with it.
Sometimes you just cant save them all, and I think that as guardians of Time, The Bronze Dragonflight and Nozdormu especially understands this. I mean why otherwise they would let history play its course and not intervene every time something would threaten Azeroth and make sure that the threats would be dealt with before they can even begin?
As result of events of Warcraft III, Archimonde, Mannoroth and most of the most important Dreadlords were vanquished and the Legion severely weakened. So having Lordaeron and Quel'Thalas fall to Scourge was "small" price compared to that.

@@DIEGhostfish Except without Arthas fall, the Cult of the Damned wouldn't have had the resources to ressurrect Kel'Thuzad at the Sunwell, nor the book from Dalaran, and thus no summoning could occur and the burning legion could not invade.
Just wanted to say, thank you. I’ve been looking to play some Warcraft without paying for WoW and custom campaigns are a better alternative. I prefer RTS games over MMOs.
if Blizard continued making Warcraft games (not WoW) I'd be a lot happier, I don't mind WoW, but I like the idea that in WoW you played as nobodies while in the strategy game you played as the actual commanders.
While this is cool, i doubt Arthas would've even listened to her at this point. Remember Medivh tried to warn him and he said "i dont care if he has seen the future". Maybe down the track when he starts realising the visions are coming true... but certainly not at this point.
But Arthas believed the dragon queen, which is a better option than what the blizzard came up with.
because no one know Medivh (after he open demon gate, i think everyone abandon everything about him) so who trust a mad old man block your way ? Alexstraza is difference, she is a one of little Lawful good in Azeroth, like Uther so she never lie.
There is a better Arthas story in this campaign
Alexstraza is a demigoddess not a random hobo, he'd listen to a god.
even king terenas doesn't listen to Medivh and you expect Arthas to trust him? Medivh seems like a really shady dude if you don't know his background. Imagine someone knocking on your front door right know and say the world is ending....
As confident as the dreadlords are, trying to storm a whole squad of knights with just one or two is asinine.
They're arrogant as fuck, though.
I wonder if this custom campaign will be in the remake, this is too good to be left forgoten.

Destroying your base tells you your mission failed, however, it doesn't actually really fail the mission, but it does SOMETHING. It stops Mal'Ganis' revival from initiating, when the timer hits 0, it stays that way, though even if you destroyed Lorthiras' base and the orange base somehow, his task force still spawns.
What i hate from this campaign is about thrall he's dead

My friend told me that he actually helped with the testing and tutorial of this map! I know he is a warcraft player too, but never mentioned this until now
I decided to try out this campaign, but every time I attempt to run it past the campaign select screen, it just goes to a black screen and doesn't change until I close Warcraft III. Does anyone know the fix for this?

Well except killing his own father and dooming Lordaeron for good....even still if he would not have followed the trap that Mal'ganis and Lich King had planned for him, I also agree that Arthas along with Uther and most of Lordaeron would have rather stayed and fought and died defending Lordaeron than escaped to Kalimdor.
You should have summoned priest units since they are capable of neutralizing status effects you could have used them for healing and getting rid of sleep

@@sercretasianman7467 It should have been Medivh. Nozdormu doesn't interfere, Alexstrasza doesn't really have the foresight, Ysera is an avid dreamer, Neltharion's brooding, Malygos hates mortal magic.

This isn't the thing that really changed things.it was them letting arthas go to northrend.shouldve let Uther go instead.he had a better chance to do something and could resist the whispers of frostmourne.
I know you were under pressure but necromancers arent much of a deal they are very flimsy to holy light! (And if master training, its just a Lv 3 holy light and a poke to kill them)

Yes I finished the first two campaigns.They are hard but impossible,
engage enemy at choke point with more range unit ,then build tower till enough to defend base ( talking like abather now lol) and then move out

Uther should be uncontrollable ally in this map. Controlling two heroes of the same class is not Warcraft style.

Casters would have been better support for knights on this one. Even IF and Slow would have given you an edge against the Aboms

If I remember correctly of what i red, she split the king of stormwind into to different peronalitys, one remebering being the king and another without any memories who became a gladiator. There's no need to remake this.
Better plan, they should have killed Dar'Khan Drathir so the great defense barrier of Quel'Thalas would never have fallen. With the Ban'dinoriel up and running everyone from the Old Alliance could have held up in the Elven homeland and weathered the storm. With the Sunwell untainted, Kel'Thuzad could never have been risen as a lich, which means Archimond would never have been summoned by him.
in my opinion the original Warcraft 3 story should be like this because in my opinion it doesn't fit the main protagonist (Arthas) to be made a betrayal at the end of the story :)
