This and the interview before primal plunge bookstore spoken word may 1989 are my favorites… This interview always put a smile on my face. Funny shit they say. Too bad GG was never on Morton Downey jr show it would have been more interesting than the Geraldo and Springer appearances…
Go hate him as much as you want. The fact still remains. Who has been the most infulental person in the history of punk other than Jello Biafra? G.G Allin!
Nah Fuck Jello he is sell out conformist, fuck him no comparison, once upon a long time Jello was cool but hasn't been for long time No one beats GG & no one ever will be anywhere near is great as him. The only person these days that comes close to GG is Lenny Mental from The Besmirchers. Pretty much Punk is dead these days.
I was at a Live Skull Show at Bunratty's Allston, Ma in the 80's and GG came in jumped on the stage and knocked over the Marshalls, I watched a tape echo go flying across the stage, on the way out he was being pursued and knocked me on my ass...lol.
I’ll ALWAYS treasure my autographed GG Allin 7” of I Wanna Fuck Your Brains Out! He signed it in two spots. My favorite one is on the inside of the cover where he holds his ‘member’ and he wrote “EAT MY FUCK”. My favorite era of GG was definitely before prison. He was funny as fuck on all of his interviews. I will always appreciate that of him. He will definitely make you laugh and give you a joke to tell your friends lol. Hands down he was EXTREMELY INSTRUMENTAL for music as a whole. If you actually listen to other musicians/actors they will mention him in a positive way. He will always be my favorite musician, I just wish he he didn’t die when he did. Even he said he wasn’t ready to die yet because he wasn’t at his peak. He truly was a talented man with a real dedication to rock n roll. I wish he was still making music, there’s definitely not enough of it out in the world.
Agreed. Thats so cool you have a autographed GG item. Im still looking for a GG signature myself. And yeah I wish he had lived longer too. Maybe lasting until 2003 or something like that
It's funny he trashes Iggy and the Dead Boys here but in a 1982 interview he said the Dead Boys two albums and Raw Power were his favorite records. And in a 1986 he said Iggy Pop was his hero. I mean I know he has to play up how he hates everything but those two were definite influences.
@@kerrysrarities He he was firmly in his "I hate everything" schtick by this point and would never say a good thing about anyone even if he did like them. Ha!
@@kerrysrarities though I will say the stuff Iggy and Stiv were doing did kinda suck at that time (ok, I actually kind of like Pop's Instinct--the album GG was trashing) so he's not actually wrong. But when he started, the Dead Boys and The Stooges were his two biggest influences.
I bought some CDrs online of GG interviews and this was on one of the CDs. Merle sold them on the GG website YEARS ago. I got them off of ebay from some dude not that long ago though
My copy came from a cdr Merle sold on the GG Allin website quite a long time ago. I got this one on ebay. Its a comp of GG interviews that came from a cassette
Well, it WAS unaired for a reason. I believe the interviewer was GG's friend so they didn't take it too seriously id imagine. Just 2 buddies talking about stuff. Almost like a prototype of a podcast if you will.
@@kerrysrarities theres a book you can find online called "americas favorite son" and its like a GG allin biography, apparently written by him. its really enlightening on his life, apparently he was into shooting up coke long before heroin
Funny and awesome interview. GG sounds so cool here, so are the interviewers. Classic.
Agreed. This is one of my personal favorite interviews with him

“If you’re gonna do something, take it to the end or don’t even fuckin do it all.” - GG Allin
Growing up in Manchester New Hampshire in the early 80s GG was a tragic car wreck that you just couldn’t look away from.RIP

Indeed. Glad someone here TRULY gets it. For real.
YES. His critics are forgotten, and GG is immortal.

Man radio used to not suck.
Dude no kidding right? The radio used to be awesome.
They talk about great kat lol . The interview is heard decades later
wow I never thought I'd hear him acknowledge The Great Kat!
I know right! Didnt think he would have known of her. Shes a shredding goddess
That was a funny one. I wonder why this has been never aired, his lovely poetry is just beautiful. lol 👌🏻
Haha I'm not sure why it never aired. Probably just meant for friends of the studio i guess lol
Due to the language, the station probably couldn't air this due to FCC regulations. Language is pretty colorful here.
Any info on the DJ Scum Goddess?
I used to love her show
No idea. Never ever heard of her
if you take gg serious , you don"t get it
Depends on what you mean by that.
How did they allow these types of radio programs in the 80s? Is this college radio?
I believe so. Plus I dont believe it aired
WSIA 88.9 MHz FM. It’s a college radio station that is still in operation in The College of Staten Island.

Yeah its obvious BS. I am guessing He was constantly compared to those guys and wanted to be defined on his own.

Yeah when GG was off stage and in a specific mood hed probably be cool to hang with.

Hea a comedian ultimately, few “hardcore” folk can laugh at themselves. Yeah hes lazy here, but still fucks with the interviewer
"I do everything by myself" so no credit to his brother or his bands lmao
This was before he really bonded well with Merle with the murder junkies. Plus he always said he was a one man army. So there's that
because he did do a lot of things himself. but he also used people, to be fair
