Bro, i'm with you. I got fired from my server job after 3 weeks. They always asking me to do things that i dont know how to, they asked me to take things to somewhere that i don't where, to put plates and cups on its plates as if i know where these things come from. When i asked them for helping me to do something that i don't know, they got angry at me and explain fast with no details as if i was understanding everything in one row. And all of this, working 10 hours a day, simply the worst experience of my life
@@Alessiokat for real thought the restaurant business was more glamorous but felt like I was at a worst fast food with managers that just say get better with no advice
As a line cook myself, I recommend you look for finer dinning establishments, cheesecake factory isn’t too nice buts it a good start, and the training is actual training
from someone who was in a similar situation pay attention to what the managers are doing and copy it when you do it wrong ask what can i do differently and be respectful and understanding that everyone in the kitchen has went through the dish bitch phase. edit:also be thankful you work for a corporate kitchen i work for a resteraunt where labor laws are not followed or enforced 16 hours and no break even get guilt tripped about taking bathroom breaks and one day off a week.
@@Trillion_Dollar_Extreme they usually kick you out of the kitchen and most the time I don’t even get breaks. Been on break twice out of the 4 weeks I think I’ve been working
