We’ve been watching Ciara’s story since she was first sent to the hospital. We live near the place where she was staying in Pennsylvania. We have been deeply moved and astonished at this couples bravery and endurance. So glad to see RoH include her in their testimony videos. It's incredible how God transforms everything, a misfortune turned into living testimony. I lost my leg 21 days after I was born. But there is not a single day in which I do not see the hand of God providing for the prosthesis, giving us every day what we need, faith, self-esteem, purpose, God bless this family, and find the joy of the Lord always.

Oh, Ciara! I just love you so much! I am a 60 year old mama and grandma who had a difficult time raising my 3 children with chronic pain. I’m still in pain today, but I can look back with gratitude. I have my 2 older boys and I didn’t want to impact their lives by being sad all the time. Four years later and God is still given me the grace I need. I have had rhe same book for a few years but have never read ir. I bought it at a Ladies Retreat I had gone to. I am getting ready to read it. God knew Ciara had more work to do yet in a different way rhan before. Although, I went through a torally different experience than Ciara I spent years battling healrh problems and even spent time on a vent. Since fhat time over 15 years ago, God has allowed me ro use this ro help others. i have been able to help others navigate rhe state help as well because of th thiings that I have needed help with. Thank you Ciara and David for allowing thie story to be shared. Ciara, you are a true blessing to so many. You both as are your boys always in my prayers!

I have everything, not just in Christ, but in my stuff and in my life circumstances I have practically everything, and yet I am so often ungrateful, or I'm thankful for something, but take it for granted. Jesus saved me 51 years ago, and an attitude of gratitude gave me victory over tons of battles...such as a husband who walked out on me and my 7 young daughters, to God granting me an awesome husband 43 years ago who adopted them all; but Ciara's story brings me to a new level of gratitude! "Many are the afflictions of the righteous" and now at age 77, it's easy to feel sorry for oneself, but you both inspire us to turn our petty sufferings into thanksgiving, as you describe the joy of the Lord! I love how she talks about taking your thoughts captive in obedience to Christ - how important that is for all of us as Christians. We can feel like giving up or get suicidal over literally anything if we allow it to consume us. May the Lord help us to instead remember to turn our eyes upon Jesus as the old song says, and look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith!!! Beautiful woman and blessed family
I love how she talks about taking your thoughts captive in obedience to Christ - how important that is for all of us as Christians. We can feel like giving up or get suicidal over literally anything if we allow it to consume us. May the Lord help us to instead remember to turn our eyes upon Jesus as the old song says, and look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith!!! We can do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens us. Thank you for this wonderful testimony my sister in Christ.

I so admire and wish I had the love you have in your beautiful family. I see you and think about how those treasured children are so blessed to still be able to hear your sweet voice read to them, and gaze into your full soulful eyes, and wrap their little arms around you and feel your warmth comforting them. Also, your faithful husband can experience the wholeness of your complete family because you are there by his side with more love and respect for him than many married men ever know. He can take comfort in the gift of today, that you’ll be there to partner with him in raising your family, and in everything you all will grow closer & closer to Christ.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am truly grateful. What a wonderful and supportive husband you have, and your boys are so adorable. You are so beautiful, and you were spared for a reason. I have learning that I do not understand God alot of the time, why things happen the way they do. However I have also come to know that God doesn't leave us alone. He is always there, we just have to look for His hand in our everyday life. I believe gratitude is the key to seeing Him in our lives more often.
