Shambala is like paradise. It’s like you have to reach a high level of enlightenment to reach Shambala. Honestly, Three Dog Night is just supreme. They bring me peace like a lil bit of paradise.
It’s cheaper to use a computer to make musical sounds instead of real instruments (people playing instruments costs money) and auto tune is used to make “singers” sound better (they sound robotic to me). I think it all comes down to money.
@@patswanson2870 That's sad and so selfish. Nothing then is about the music ...Our reality is made of frequency and vibration, the music of creation. Shameful they ignore authentic music.
There was so much happiness and joy in musical performances with my generation! Is was maybe 10 years old when this was filmed…but it’s what was played in my home. I’m lucky to have been part of the greatest musical evolution of the 20th century.
James, my brother you should have bee born in the sixties. You really know what true talent was. I went to high school in the early 80s when there were 100,000 people in one concert witnessing great performances. We had it good.. I wish you would have been there with us. God bless.
i'm 60 years old. in 1975, i was 11 years old. when i was 9/10 years old, three dog night was my favorite band. they had a lot of good songs. jim croce was another great singer (solo), during the same era. jim croce died in a plane crash in 1973. he was a folk singer. gordon lightfoot is (was) another great singer. he was a canadain folksinger. he really came into u.s. scene big time with "the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald." based on a actually sinking of the the ore ship back in 1975, in lake superior. 15 miles off the shores of paradise, michigan in the canadian side of the great lake. i remember that night very well. one hell of a storm.
Cory Welles doing lead on this fab song did the lead on the cover of Otis Redding Try a Little Tenderness, its magnificent. The two other great singers r Chuck Negron and Danny Hutton. Many very good songs Easy to be Hard, Joy to the World, Elis Coming, Never Been to Spain and more. Very successful group probably from 68 to 75.
Young Sir, I’ve said it before and, now, I’m going to say it AGAIN…YOU are, without a doubt, a wonderful gift to this world!! Thank you for sharing that Joy; that smile and the music! 💕🙏💕
Cool reaction! We're with you on your listening fest! They had free concerts in the park during the summer where I live, and some really talented folks played. Music has a way of bringing people together. And Three Dog Night knew how to do that. So talented and energetic.
My fav three dog night tune! Love your reaction to “real music” another favorite is Black and White, incredible message and tune. Be well my friend ❤ 🎶
I saw Three Dog Night Oct. 27, 1981, I still have the tickets. I loved them starting in Jr. High School and always wanted to see them. 10 years later I finally got to. They were so good and sounded almost like their recordings. Thanks for the reminder.
It's good to see you again my friend. Please please please more Three Dog Night. Try Out in the country, Pieces of April. Also can you come back to Creedence Clearwater Revival again? Thank you so much for your reactions to the music I grew up with.
I dropped in to hear this song. Thanks. This obviously live, but from what I've heard the 'Three Dog Night' singers performed live together in the studio to get the feel. It comes thru.
I always loved Three Dog Night and this song. They had a string of hits including "Mama Told Me", "Joy to the World", "Celebrate" & "Black & White". I agree - so many singers now use auto-tune, backing tracks & heavily processed studio recordings. If you want to hear great unadulterated singing, watch some of the live videos of acapella bands such as Home Free (the video of "Sea Shanty Medley Live" is amazing), Pentatonix, VoicePlay or Straight No Chaser.
There is a lot of wonderful music performed by talented artists who perform their music live with real musicians. Check out NPR's tiny desk concert series here on YT.
I love your enthusiasm for great music. Yeah, I don’t know what happened to music. I saw it begin to decline in the 80s, when electronics were simulating instruments. There was still great musicians then, and even now, but it seems musicianship has taken a severe hit.
Another song from my childhood. You might also want to check out "Joy to the World" (not the Christmas song) and "I've Never Been to Spain". By the way, I've been subbed to you for years. You're one of my original reactors. Good to see you going strong. Keep up the great work!
Yeah. We might have gotten a lot of lip sync performances on tv since tv studio mics sucked but never during concerts. If someone had been caught pulling that bs they wouldn't have had a career anymore. We may not have had internet but word got around quickly abd everyone would have stopped buying their records and tickets to their concerts.
Interesting fact: Three Dog Night is an old cowboy reference to cold nights sleeping on the praire. Dogs would snuggle up to help keep cowboys warm. 'It's so cold it's a three dog night'
Yeah it’s like cgi. It’s nice especially for things that don’t exist, but it’s disappointing. Real music with real voices is like mom’s cooking, the best.
you owe it the yourself to find the video of Cory Wells, the lead on Shambala performing Otis Reddings Try a Little Tenderness from this same show. Talk about a performance. It was like he was channeling Otis.
You young man are what I consider "woke" as far as music is concerned by what you just said...thank you. And I hope more of your generation and younger can wake up too.

It's all about the almighty dollar, not about talent and artistry. They COPY yesterdays musical perfection. They COPY yesterdays movies. None of today's music or movies have even the tiniest bit of originality. It's sad. Today's generation have become nothing but Corporate America's drones and slaves.

Thank you !!!!! I appreciate the donation!!

The music industry needs to listen to these young reactors...they want what we had in their music~!!!!

I can atest to that, I was very fortunate to have grown up in the 60s. Definitely my favorite decade for music!!!!!!

Three Dog Night is the best 🤘🤘🤘
These guys were so real. Such talent.
My Dad’s jams that he introduced me to!! I was 9 years old when this performance was done, and I still jam with them!!!

great choice for a reaction!!!
You definitely need to react to Old Fashioned Love Song. Same performance. It's terrific and humorous.
A night so cold 🥶 it takes three dogs 🐕 to keep you warm and survive.
Three Dog Night! You can't go wrong. My personal favorite is Joy To The World.
Great listening Great reaction Thanks ❤

I don't care, nor have I ever cared about the meaning of the song, I just like it. It's fun and catchy AND I love 3 Dog Night.
I remember like it was yesterday when this song first hit the airwaves, I absolutely loved it!
I noticed you have a big smile on your face when you listen to our music from the 70s. I agree with the music now days is a lot different

Hurley: "Are you sure you want to do this?"
Charlie: "Victory or death."
Thank you we are all about glitz and glamour and looks and not talent. Thank you thank you I’ve been thinking that for several years now.
So happy to hear this song...thank you!😅
Amen
Thanks for posting! I have not heard this one in so long… I was 15 when this came out. Bless your heart! It’s a feel good song…

Your smile says it all!
I grew up in the best era for music.
Great song and reaction
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The people in the audience know exactly what they just witnessed lol ❤
This is a fine version but listen to the original to really appreciate it, ALWAYS go with studio version first.
We will share our music with u!

I'd rather have 3 warm babes snuggle up.
I would love to see someone lip sink a Krizz Kaliko song. That might be fun.
Need to start again. Gotta pack a bowl. 😎

Well said young man it is true....today what you see and hear is made up and fake and talentless 😂😂
Oh I was looking at the wrong guy.
I prefer the studio version a bit more ...just being honest
Same here.
Studio versions are the way the artists crafted the song with optimal instruments in optimal conditions.
