Golden nuggets in full stacks of 30 are also a great way to help newer players to save up money for paying off their mortgages to expand their own houses and storage space over time as they progress, that’s way more than a full-stack of exotic fruits that net players 500 bells apiece (5K bells per full stack of 10) and because gold nuggets net players 10K bells apiece. And I love how you can use them to craft golden tools that last twice as much as their standard counterparts, but once you’ve unlocked those recipes. And is your native fruit an apple? That’s my native fruit and my sister fruit is a peach. Plus having a variety of fruit when imported from other players’ islands lends a better experience for more options to make profit with exotic goodness and learn more DIY and cooking recipes from all fruit.
@@AmeliaEarhart537 That’s great. What’s your sister fruit that you originally receive in the mail from “Mom”, but also if taken to a fruit orchard Mystery Island with a fruit other than your native fruit, and what villagers sometimes gift to you if they come to your house uninvited?

The Golden tools have triple the durability of the normal tools (flimsy tools have 1/3 the durability of normal tools. Normal tools refer to tools here have been upgraded with iron nuggets, or in the case of the stone axe, stone, which has the same durability as a normal axe but doesn't fell trees. The more you know). Also, a few of the golden tools have special properties. Golden watering can breed gold roses from two black roses which, when picked, sell for 1000 bells, and they regrow. If I'm not mistaken, the golden shovel let's you bury He is and new A bell tree whenever you want? It was a thing in older games, haven't gotten a gold shovel in acnh yet. I don't know what the other golden tools do. They are worth making usually though. Plus if they get close to breaking you can go sell them for some extra bells (player has to keep track of durability themselves by just . . Counting) This is long, but hopefully helpful. Some stuff might be wrong because I got a pretty good amount of my info from wikis and other people. The one thing I know is 2000% true is the golden watering can special effect
Personally, I'd say the only golden tool worth using is the golden watering can. Since I use pumpkins to gather my riches, it makes watering them every day just a bit more easy.
actually I believe Dagnel, an acnh youtuber who does a few crazy challenges and activities, has actually done a bit of work to calculate gold rock spawn chances and arived at I believe around 1.28 percent if we exclude special mystery islands like money rock island or gold rock island, however more data could possibly make changes to this percent but this number is most likely close to what it is. If I had enough nook miles tickets to go villlager hunting, I would go and gather more data myself. but this is the awnswer i have seen where i can say this is the awnswer gained from the data obtained.
I've been playing this game since release and I'd say I've been to _a lot_ of mystery island, gold rock island has only appeared once while I was villager hunting, Drago was on it. I didn't him but I sure did take my 8 nuggets
its like she heard me. i recently hit five stars and got the golden watering can recipe. I didnt care too much bout golden flowers, but then i invited marshal to my campsite via amibo. I already gave up on making it tho...lol. The experience has left me wanting more gold cuz...well, i now want golden roses. Whenever i find gold i always sell it...BIG MISTAKE.
Best way for me is grinding Nook miles islands while hunting for a new villager. In 45 tickets I got 5 gold nuggets, 5 money-rock islands and to top it of I got Static to end the night (I also started the day with a double rainbow).
In the Animal Crossing Guide Book it says that the possibility for gold nuggets in ballons is 8 % whileas getting gold on your island or on mystery islands is 1 %. The problem is that you catch a ballon once every 5 minutes if you really look out for them but you get at least 8 chances of gold nuggets with every rock, so 40 times a 1 % chance for your gold nuggets on your island every day.
GOLDEN TOOLS STILL BREAK?!?! well that's underwhelming. I just started recently so I've been dying to get better and better tools and had always thought the golden tools were invincible. What a bummer 😕
i think someone recently did a study on the rarity of gold nuggets from rocks. and it seems it’s about a ~2.2% chance to get a nugget every time you hit a rock
In my experience, I've noticed that I'm likely to get one iron nugget on my island when I have 200K bells in my pocket. just make sure they're in your pocket before hitting rocks. Going to other islands is still a slim chance of getting a gold nugget. Specially since you normally would go to an island with close to empty pockets, if not completely empty, to collect as much as you can to take back with you. Can't say it works 100% of the time, but I rarely get disappointed when trying to get gold nuggets on my island. Happy hunting.

I guess you don't have the Companion Guide. The probabilities of obtaining each item from hitting stones are, as listed in the Guide: on your own island, 50% stone, 34% iron nugget, 15% clay, 1% gold nugget; on a mystery island, 8% stone, 50% iron nugget, 41% clay, 1% gold nugget. And the chance for a balloon to carry a gold nugget is around 8%.

I swear, when it comes to catching rare fish, I have milliseconds to react to the _bloop_ before it just goes away, it's frustrating.
In past games, it did. I don't think it does in New Horizons though :/. Seems to just be a visual and durability improvement. I'll do some testing though!
@@koramora Yeah, it helped out a lot in New Leaf. If that's the case I'll stick to the ones you can buy at Nook's Cranny instead. I appreciate your testing though!
There's 6 rocks per island. Without counting the money rock, that's 5 rocks producing 8 items per day, that's 40 chances per day to get a golden nugget. From my experience, i would get a nugget once every other day so i think it's safe to assume that the percentage of getting a golden nugget must be around 1%.
